Civil Peace in Muslim Societies.. Seminar at Erbil Book Fair

Mohamed Mandour
The Muslim Council of Elders' pavilion at the Erbil International Book Fair hosted a seminar titled "The Call of the People of Qiblah and Prospects for Civil Peace in Muslim Societies", presented by Dr. Samir Boudinar, Director of the Al-Hokama Center for Peace Research. The seminar was part of the Council's efforts to promote intra-Islamic dialogue to unify the Muslim Ummah and foster its solidarity.
At the start of the seminar, Dr. Samir Boudinar explained that the "Call of the People of Qiblah" is the outcome of the Intra-Islamic Dialogue Conference held in the Kingdom of Bahrain in February 2024, chaired by His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders.
The conference brought together prominent scholars from various Islamic denominations and schools of thought to formulate a shared vision for enhancing Islamic brotherhood and countering sectarian division.
The Director of the Al-Hokama Center for Peace Research clarified that the Call of the People of Qiblah is a charter containing key principles for preserving the unity of the Ummah.
These include promoting scholarly and doctrinal understanding among scholars and academic institutions, confronting schemes of discord, mitigating risks that threaten the fabric of Muslim society, acknowledging the legitimacy of doctrinal differences, and prioritizing Islamic unity.

France Blocks RT Editor's Account on X Platform

Israa Farhan France has blocked the X (formerly Twitter) account of Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of RT and the international media group Rossiya Segodnya, in a move that highlights the increasing restrictions on Russian media in Europe. Simonyan confirmed the suspension via her Telegram channel, stating that she was unaware of the reason behind the decision. She remarked that she had not posted anything that could justify the action and questioned whether it was politically motivated. The account ban comes amid ongoing tensions between Russia and Western countries following the Russian military campaign in Ukraine. Since the outbreak of the conflict, the European Union has implemented widespread sanctions and restrictions targeting Russian state media outlets, including RT and Sputnik. As part of these measures, access to RT and Sputnik has been blocked across EU member states. Their websites remain inaccessible through Google in Europe, and their channels have been restricted or removed from platforms including YouTube and Meta-owned services like Facebook and Instagram. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks

16 Killed After Military Jet Crashes into School in Bangladesh

Israa Farhan At least 16 people, mostly students, were killed when a Bangladeshi Air Force training jet crashed into a school campus in the capital, Dhaka. Over 100 others were injured in the devastating incident. The Chinese-made F-7 BGI fighter jet had taken off at 1:06 PM local time and crashed shortly afterward into the grounds of Milestone School and College, located on the outskirts of the city. Emergency services rushed to the scene, with dramatic footage showing injured students being carried away on stretchers as flames engulfed parts of the school. According to the office of interim Prime Minister Mohammad Yunus, at least 83 of the injured were transferred to multiple hospitals for urgent medical treatment. Rescue operations continued late into the afternoon, with fire crews working to extinguish the blaze and secure the site. The interim Prime Minister expressed his profound sorrow over the tragedy in a statement shared on the social media platform X, describing it as a moment of national grief. He acknowledged the immense loss suffered by the Air Force, the school community, and the affected families. He stated, 'The losses endured by the Bangladesh Air Force, the students, their families, the teachers and staff of Milestone School and College, and all those affected are immeasurable. Germany: Working Closely With France and UK for Diplomatic Solution on Iran Nuclear Issue

Ahmed Emam The German Foreign Ministry has confirmed that it is engaging in intensive coordination with France and the United Kingdom to secure a lasting diplomatic resolution to the Iranian nuclear issue, according to Alqahera News. In a statement, the ministry stressed that the three European powers — known collectively as the E3 — are maintaining close consultations aimed at reviving negotiations and preventing further escalation surrounding Iran's nuclear program. The announcement comes amid growing regional tensions and international concern over Tehran's recent acceleration of uranium enrichment activities and its reduced cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The E3 have historically played a central role in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran, which has been under strain since the U.S. withdrawal in 2018 and Iran's subsequent breaches of the accord. While no further details were given, Berlin's affirmation of its commitment to diplomacy signals renewed European efforts to prevent a nuclear crisis and to restore channels of dialogue between Tehran and the West. It's worth mentioning that Germany, UK, and France are part of an agreement reached with Iran in 2015 to rein in its nuclear program, from which President Donald Trump withdrew the US during his first term, insisting it wasn't tough enough. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks
