No EuroMillions winner means biggest lottery prize in UK rolls over yet again

Daily Mirror13-06-2025
With no EuroMillions winner, the jackpot on Tuesday will be an estimated £208 million - a massive, life-changing scoop - but first you have got to grab your ticket online or in shops
An estimated £208 million is up for grabs in Tuesday's lottery after no EuroMillions winner was found on Friday.
The jackpot will is now biggest lottery prize the UK has seen, National Lottery operator Allwyn said. The total prize money has now been capped, meaning prize pots in the next winning tier will be boosted.

"Tuesday will see the incredible £208 million EuroMillions jackpot still up for grabs. A win of this magnitude would create the biggest National Lottery winner this country has ever seen. Get your tickets early to ensure you're in with a chance of a massive life-changing win," Andy Carter, senior winners' adviser at Allwyn, said.

Five UK players became millionaires on Friday after matching five main numbers and one Lucky Star, winning £3.61 million each. However, there was no EuroMillions winner.
Mr Carter added: "The EuroMillions jackpot is now capped, so any money that would have gone into increasing the jackpot now boosts prizes in the next winning prize tier, meaning that we're seeing multiple UK players banking huge prizes for matching just the five main numbers and one Lucky Star."
The main EuroMillions winning numbers on Fridaywere 02, 28, 40, 43, 45 and the lucky stars were 03 and 07. Friday June 13 also saw 13 UK millionaires made through a special EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker event.
"Contrary to superstition, Friday the 13th has proven the luckiest date in the calendar for these lucky UK players. All UK EuroMillions players should check their tickets and contact us if they believe they are one of tonight's lucky winners," Mr Carter continued.
No players won the £1 million HotPicks jackpot – which uses the same numbers as the EuroMillions draw. No players won the £500,000 Thunderball jackpot either. The five Thunderball numbers were 01, 02, 24, 33, 39 and the Thunderball number was 13.
When mum Annie Leith entered a different lottery last year, she was overwhelmed to be able to take her family on an abroad holiday for the first time. The yoga teacher, from Pill, Somerset, told the Mirror: "We have some wonderful memories, like waking up and hearing the waves crash off the cliffs in Tenerife. It was crazy to see and hear that. My children chasing lizards there was amazing, and the black sand on the beaches there was great. Digging shoes into the black sand was lovely. I remember the kids talking, or trying to talk, in Spanish out there and trying to encourage them.
"We have all got this little spark that something will happen outside the norm one day, and for us that has. This happened to my family to the nth degree so we are lucky... The world isn't this thing with boundaries, which again is maybe a Covid thing, and it is great to explore. We have been able to experience this now and it has been life-changing."

Love Island couple ordered to leave the villa just hours before ITV final

One Love Island couple are being voted out of the villa by their former islanders. As we gear up for the semi-final of one of the most explosive Love Island seasons yet, two more islanders are set to be ruthlessly dumped from the villa, as they are voted out by their former friends and rivals, who aren't holding back. ‌ One couple won't make it to the final of the show, as the latest teaser reveals a tense moment where all the previously dumped Islanders return to the villa for one last, game changing decision. ‌ The official Love Island account took to Instagram to share the short clip from Sunday evening's episode, alongside the caption: "First look! Ex-Islanders return for a savage dumping, and they're not holding back." ‌ Host Maya Jama appears to have returned to the villa one last time before she gets ready for the final, and is seen entering the villa to announce the latest twist. After a dramatic slow-motion walk into the villa, Maya shouts: "Hello, hello, hello. Are you alright my loves? How was the dates? Are you all loved up? Well I have some very important news. Can you come and join me on the lawn?" The remaining couples in the villa are Yas and Jamie, Cach and Toni, Harry and Shakira, Ty and Angel, and Meg and Dejon, the Mirror reports. Maya delivers the news: "Well today, one more couple will be dumped from the Love Island villa and that decision will be made by some very familiar faces." ‌ Among the returning islanders is Sophie Lee, who joined at the start of the series and became the first to be dumped on day two. Viewers will also see the return of Tommy who was once considered a frontrunner to win, before being dumped by Shakira. The teaser sent fans into a frenzy as they speculated which couple the dumped islanders would be giving the boot. One viewer wrote: "Sorry, but after Thursday and Friday, it's gotta be Meg and Dejon. Their time is up", while another simply stated: "Harry & Shakira.. your time is up!" ‌ A third shared their thoughts and penned: "For all the years of watching Love Island, it's my first time feeling this nervous about the finals. I swear my anxiety level is through the roof." A forth fan stated: "Do the right thing and only let Yas, Jamie, or Cach near that money for goodness sake," while another expressed: "I swear if Shakira, Toni, or Yaz go home, I might have to have some therapy sessions" Only time will tell who the dumped Islanders will vote for and which couple will say their goodbyes just a day before the final. Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX, and the final will air tomorrow (August 4) at 9pm.

Coronation Street fans 'rumble' who Floyd phoned about Lisa in 'Tia twist'

Coronation Street fans saw Lisa Swain's therapist Floyd making a 'suspicious' phone call about her after their session on the ITV soap, and fans think it's linked to Tia Wardley Therapist Floyd on Coronation Street may have some explaining to do after a "suspicious" phone call. ‌ Now, some fans think they have figured out who he was on the phone to in a cryptic chat after a therapy session with Lisa Swain. It could be a mystery new character if fans are correct, with viewers now suspecting Floyd could be corrupt. ‌ It comes as Carla Connor was snooping into the death of partner Lisa's ex-wife Becky Swain, who died in the line of duty years earlier. Lisa is also digging into the police officer's death, and she tearfully confessed to Floyd on Friday that she believed her wife may have been in trouble, amid continuing mystery surrounding what led to her death. ‌ As she confessed her fears, explaining that the Radcliffe brothers had implied there was more to what happened to her, she admitted her daughter Betsy Swain had visited one of them, Logan, for answers. But Floyd suggested to her the pair may just be trying to get to her. He asked her if she truly thought her wife was corrupt, or maybe Logan and Matty Radcliffe were lying because they had a grudge against her after their recent arrests. Lisa appeared to come around to the latter idea, while she admitted "you never truly know anyone". ‌ As the session ended, Floyd checked in with her and she said: "Maybe you're right," questioning if she'd "been kidding herself" as Floyd seemed keen for her not to believe Becky was corrupt. It's then as Lisa left the room that Floyd got his phone out and called a mystery person. He told the mystery caller: "I think I made a breakthrough with Swain." So was he calling someone to let them know Lisa may drop the Becky case? ‌ Was it Costello, who was seen on his phone after? Was it the person who later told a prisoner to attack Logan after his comments to Carla? Viewers even wondered if it was the mystery Tia Wardley, the name Logan gave to Carla. One fan said: "I think we were meant to believe Floyd was ringing Costello after Lisa's therapy session but what if it was this Tia Wardley??" Another fan said: "Costello." A third fan posted: "Floyd the therapist is compromised, he's part of the it! Costello sent him to shut Lisa down and stop her digging into Becky." Another viewer said: "Who was Floyd on the phone to - was it Costello?"
