PS Plus Extra and Premium July 2025 predictions and reveal date

Daily Mirror04-07-2025
The PS Plus Extra and Premium July 2025 reveal date is almost upon us, so it's time to take a look at what we think could be coming to the service – and luckily for us, we have a pretty good idea.
The forthcoming PS Plus collection is gearing up for its big reveal, with high expectations that Extra and Premium subscribers will be treated to a plethora of top-notch titles.
PS Plus has a habit of being hit-and-miss with each new release, but at this point, it's simply part of the journey. The service always provides something to anticipate, as even if it releases games you're not eager to play immediately, it continually offers more choices, ensuring every kind of gamer has something to delve into.

The PS Plus Extra and Premium June 2025 drop had plenty to offer, even if not all resonated – the quirky newcomer FBC: Firebreak arrived and struggled to make the significant impact that Remedy's first extraction shooter was expected to, and Battlefield 2042's late arrival was fun for an experiment with players who hadn't tried it before, but didn't get more thrilling than that.

However, the service truly spoiled players with the Diablo 4 PS Plus Essential July drop, demonstrating that it still has a few surprises in store – and gamers are hopeful that it can deliver another impressive collection of titles with PS Plus Extra and Premium. Fortunately for us, we have a fairly reliable way of predicting what could be coming next.
The most effective method to predict what might feature in any given PS Plus update is to examine the games that were released this time last year, add a year to those games' original PlayStation release date, and see which games were launched around the same month. In this instance, we're examining the PS Plus Extra and Premium games July 2024, which included Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, and No More Heroes 3. It's an odd month of deep cuts, but adding a year onto Wrath of the Righteous' March 2024 release date brings us to March 2025, which saw the launch of Carmen Sandiego, Dungeons of Hinterberg, and Atomfall.
Larger games like Split Fiction and Two Point Museum were also launched during this month, but it might be a bit unlikely to see them appear due to the quick turnaround from their release. However, games like Dungeons of Hinterberg would be well received by players, making for a fantastic month – a fantastic month that's about to get a reveal. Here's what you need to know about the PS Plus Extra and Premium July 2025 reveal date.

PS Plus Extra and Premium July 2025 reveal date
The PS Plus Extra and Premium July 2025 reveal date is Wednesday, July 9 at 8.30am PDT / 11.30am EDT / 4.30pm BST. We know this because PlayStation always unveils these games on the second Wednesday of every month, before delivering them to players on the following Tuesday, which in this case will be Tuesday, July 15.
It won't be long before we find out what's in store, but it would be a fantastic month if our predictions turn out to be accurate. Honestly, though, it's more games to play without any additional cost. We'll gladly accept whatever we can get.

Where to eat with kids in Buenos Aires (and really enjoy it)

With the spirit of a classic porteño grill and a family heart, La Payuca has become a fail-safe classic for those wanting to dine out without giving up on the kids' fun. Its open grill invites fans of asado and traditional cuts, while the menu also surprises with refined dishes. But what really sets it apart is its exclusive kids' area: tablets, PlayStation, foosball, educational games, and activities guided by assistants who take care of both fun and supervision. The 'Gury' menu is designed especially for children, with options like breaded meat, burgers, chicken drumsticks, or pasta, plus a drink and dessert (ice cream or flan). With this menu, kids get access to the play area, designed for different ages. In the afternoons, the plan turns into a full snack time with mate vibes. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends. Tip: In the main dining room, screens show live footage of the kids' area, so adults can eat peacefully while watching the children have fun.

PS1 classic WipEout gets unofficial Xbox release

A famous PlayStation exclusive has been ported to Xbox and Sony are going to be furious when they find out about it. While Xbox exclusives, like Sea Of Thieves and the upcoming Gears Of War remaster, are finding a new home on the PlayStation 5, that doesn't mean Sony intends to return the favour. Microsoft's multiplatform push has clearly been in response to the Xbox Series X/S's dwindling sales. At the same time, PlayStation 5 sales are still increasing, in the US at least, so there's zero chance of seeing the likes of God Of War or The Last Of Us on an Xbox platform. And yet an old PlayStation favourite, WipEout, is currently available for purchase from the Xbox store… and it's clearly not happened with Sony's permission. The game has actually been available on the Xbox store since April, where it's listed as Anti-Gravity Racing Wipeout and is being sold for £14.99. At a first glance, it seems like it's just a spiritual follow-up; something meant to resemble WipEout but is still an original product. Upon learning of its existence, though, Digital Foundry took one for the team and actually bought it, discovering that, no, it's just WipEout. As in the original PlayStation game. Sign up to the GameCentral newsletter for a unique take on the week in gaming, alongside the latest reviews and more. Delivered to your inbox every Saturday morning. More specifically, it's a badly emulated version of WipEout, one that has stretched out menus and Xbox buttons awkwardly placed over where the PlayStation buttons would be. The game also includes WipEout 3 (entitled Anti-Gravity Racing Special Edition) and even warns you not to try and run it on a 2013 model of the Xbox One. Digital Foundry accepted the challenge and can confirm that it runs terribly. They ran direct comparisons with the original PlayStation games and while they are by and large identical, some adjustments have been made to these emulated duplicates. More Trending For instance, the emulated WipEout is the PAL version released in the UK. To compensate for running on our 50Hz TVs, developer Psygnosis adjusted the speed so it would match the NTSC version released in the US. However, the emulated version bumps it up to 60Hz, which means the game runs faster than it should. All references to Psygnosis have also been scrubbed from the game, although all the (un-)licensed music seems to be intact. If you needed any further evidence that this Xbox release isn't legitimate, the developer and publisher of Anti-Gravity Racing Wipeout is listed as LLS Games. With more attention being drawn to it, the game will likely be removed from the Xbox store, especially if Sony decides to send in the lawyers. A new Xbox exclusive is coming to PS5 and PS5 Pro and it's a massive RPG

One of the best RPGs of recent years is coming to PS5. Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl was a major exclusive for the Xbox Series X and S, but now it's heading to PlayStation An Xbox in-house team has announced that its highly praised recent game will be making its way to PlayStation, complete with new features for DualSense controllers and the PS5 Pro. Microsoft 's strategy of expanding across the gaming sector as part of its plan to transform everything (and paradoxically, nothing) into an Xbox appears to be faltering. This is suggested by the recent spate of Xbox game cancellations and redundancies. It's somewhat humiliating for such a colossal company to let go of so many staff members, particularly while it continues to invest heavily in developing its own handheld console with ROG, as unveiled at this year's summer showcase season. Moreover, it's likely losing a significant amount of profit through its Xbox Game Pass service. ‌ While it's a tiresome spectacle, it doesn't mean that the company has ceased efforts to introduce Xbox-owned titles onto other platforms. This is evident from the release of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on PS5 and the unexpected debut of Grounded on Nintendo Switch. ‌ This cross-platform expansion is certainly positive news for consumers. Even though Sea of Thieves hasn't yet made it to the Switch or Switch 2, despite being ideally suited for Nintendo 's ecosystem, it seems that the company is still striving to reach every corner of the industry. On the flip side, the launch of Helldivers 2 on Xbox is progressing smoothly. A groundbreaking development has just emerged, with official confirmation that an in-house Xbox studio is set to bring its outstanding RPG to PlayStation before the year's end. Back to Chornobyl GSC Game World has officially announced that Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl will be landing on PS5 and PS5 Pro consoles before 2025 draws to a close. The title is scheduled for launch in late 2025, promising to "fully utilize DualSense controller features, including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers for deeper player immersion" alongside a suite of improvements for the PS5 Pro edition. Whether the PS5 Pro enhancements introduce fresh gameplay elements remains unclear, though this represents brilliant news for devotees of the most brutal RPGs available – Stalker 2 boasts an unmatched atmosphere paired with punishing difficulty levels, making it perfect for those who relish surviving the bleakest circumstances with minimal resources at their disposal. Prepare to be thoroughly tested.
