Epic Games has officially teased the upcoming mode, which introduces a new layer of gameplay through 'Hero Classes.' The first of these, Shadow Caller, has already been unveiled, and early speculation suggests the class will feature enhanced mobility and mystical abilities.
Interestingly, the character resembles Morgan Myst, hinting at the crossover potential Epic is known for.
'Shadow Caller is the first of three Hero Classes coming with Expeditions. Switch between them for a different gameplay experience and level them up as you play,' Epic said in an official post.
While details remain limited, the new mode is expected to offer progression-based gameplay where each Hero Class will provide a distinct play style.
Whether that translates to specific roles, similar to RPG-style party dynamics - or simply alternate mechanics remains unclear. However, fans are already drawing comparisons to Fortnite's Hero Items from Chapter 6 Season 3 and speculating that the experience may adopt elements from RPGs or even roguelites.
LEGO Fortnite
's expanding universe
LEGO Fortnite has seen rapid evolution since its initial debut in December 2023. Starting as a survival crafting experience, the game mode quickly became a fan favourite.
The addition of LEGO Fortnite Brick Life brought life-sim elements to the table, including the recent inclusion of AI NPCs like Noir and Slurp Leviathan, who interact dynamically based on player actions.
With Expeditions on the horizon, Epic continues to double down on LEGO Fortnite's appeal, especially among younger audiences and creative builders. On June 17, just a day before Expeditions launches, the LEGO Brick Editor will also be integrated into the Unreal Editor in Fortnite.
This will give players access to 50 LEGO Bricks in 42 colours, allowing even more customisation within the metaverse.
More details about the remaining two Hero Classes are expected soon, with speculation hinting at melee and ranged specialists. Some fans believe these may draw inspiration from existing Fortnite characters, while others hope for original LEGO-style heroes. Epic's history of unexpected crossovers leaves the door wide open.
Players are also curious about how these Hero Classes will evolve during gameplay. Could we see RPG-style progression, skill upgrades, or team-based mechanics? While nothing has been confirmed, the potential for deeper engagement is promising.
With Expeditions launching on June 18, Epic Games appears ready to expand LEGO Fortnite into something much larger. As class-based combat, storytelling, and creative tools come together, players can expect a richer, more layered experience moving forward.
LEGO Fortnite Expeditions will be free to play across all major platforms including Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey IMAX 70mm Tickets Sold Out A Year In Advance

Last Updated: Within an hour of the announcement, 95% of tickets for The Odyssey were snapped up by fans. Christopher Nolan's magnum opus, The Odyssey, is one of the most anticipated projects of next year. Currently in production, the film has already generated an immense buzz for its star-studded cast, including Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson and more. In an unprecedented move, the first tickets to The Odyssey went on sale a year before its scheduled release on July 17, 2026. Fans were given the chance to secure tickets for the film's opening weekend, from 16 to 19 July 2026, in IMAX 70mm format at approximately 25 to 26 locations. It included an option to buy tickets for special Thursday afternoon screenings slated for July 16, preceding the main weekend debut. Within an hour of the announcement, 95 per cent of tickets were snapped up, amassing about a total of $1.5 million in sales. Earlier this week, Matt Damon, Tom Holland and Zendaya were spotted filming for The Odyssey in Scotland. While engaged couple Tom and Zendaya arrived on set separately off a small boat, Matt Damon, who is playing the movie's lead character Odysseus, was seen dressed in his full costume, which included dark boots, an ancient Greece-style tunic and cattle armour, as well as a long dark green cape that billowed out behind him. As per People, the trio's arrival in Scotland marks the first time the group of actors have been photographed filming the movie on location in recent months. The group was last seen together in Favignana, Italy, in March. An initial teaser for The Odyssey was released exclusively in theatres ahead of Jurassic World Rebirth, which was ultimately leaked on social media. It featured Holland's character Telemachus, Odysseus' son, speaking with a character portrayed by Jon Bernthal, as well as the voice of John Leguizamo, who holds an as-of-yet undisclosed role in the film. The teaser further showed a glimpse of Matt Damon as the lead character, Odysseus. The film is set to release on July 17, 2026. NYT Strands hints July 19: Clues, themes & spangram to help you break down the Saturday challenge

For those who've moved beyond Wordle and Connections and are now wrangling with NYT Strands , today's Saturday puzzle (#503) served up a hot challenge, literally. Titled "Hot enough for ya?", the grid beckoned solvers to trace words that describe sweltering conditions, with a spangram that cuts through the temperatures. If you found yourself stuck, here's an in‑depth PTI‑style breakdown, complete with clues, theme words, gameplay insights, and answers, all without spoiling your own solving satisfaction. What Is NYT Strands? Strands is the New York Times' engaging new addition to its Games section. It presents a 6×8 grid of letters where players must identify a group of thematically linked words and a special 'spangram', a word or phrase that spans the grid, either vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. Solve the spangram, and the rest tends to fall into place. The July 19 puzzle heats up with its summery theme—words related to oppressive warmth. Strands aficionados who struggled to spot the theme might find today's clues particularly helpful. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Villas Prices In Dubai Might Be More Affordable Than You Think Villas In Dubai | Search Ads Get Quote Undo Strands Hints: Keep It Warm Here are two clues to guide you, as per a report by Beebom: Clue One: What happens when you leave something under intense heat for long enough that the surface darkens and bubbles? Clue Two: A pervasive, heavy air that makes people feel sticky and uncomfortable—what's that? These clues point to everyday descriptors of summer discomfort. Once you begin fitting associated letters, the remaining words become clearer. Live Events Spangram Insight: Direction & Start Spangrams span across the grid. Today's answer stretches mostly VERTICALLY and begins with the letters 'SU'. Think along the lines of the broader seasonal backdrop hinted at by the theme. Answers: Here's What Filled the Grid Spangram SUMMERWEATHER Theme Words MUGGY — thick humidity that bogs down everything. STICKY — that clinging, damp sensation under the sun. BALMY — warm and pleasant, yet unmistakably overheated. SCORCHING — blistering conditions that burn the skin. SWELTERING — intense, oppressive heat so thick it feels like a blanket. Once the puzzle clues landed on muggy and sticky , the summer thread revealed itself, guiding solvers to the spangram and the rest of the words. How Strands & The Spangram Work Together The spangram, SUMMERWEATHER , was both the thematic anchor and the grid guide. In Strands, spangrams bridge tilted lines across the grid, and cracking them early helps solve the smaller theme words. Likewise, spotting the theme-letter clues for words like sticky , scorching , and sweltering accelerates discovery of the spangram. Expert Tips to Ace Strands Theme first: Identify the semantic link—here, descriptors of heat. Spangram edge: Target words that span opposite sides early. Shift tactics: Mix diagonal and vertical scans; spangrams move in both directions. Validate quickly: Once one theme word is locked in, look for letter patterns in adjacent lines—comes in handy for discovering the rest. Why Today's Puzzle Keeps Players Hooked Strands is more than another word game—it's a thematic scavenger hunt. July 19's 'Hot enough for ya?' puzzle used meteorological warmth as its unifying thread, inviting players to think both broadly ( summer weather ) and descriptively ( sweltering , balmy ). That blend of high‑level clueing and precise solving is a hallmark of Strands' design and popularity. FAQs What is NYT Strands and how does it differ from Wordle or Connections? Strands is a newer addition to The New York Times' digital Games section. Unlike Wordle, which challenges players to guess a five-letter word in six tries, or Connections, which asks users to group related terms, Strands offers a 6×8 letter grid. What was the theme of the NYT Strands puzzle on July 19, 2025? The theme for Puzzle #503 was titled 'Hot enough for ya?', referencing extreme summer heat. Solvers had to find words that describe hot or humid weather conditions. The spangram and theme words were all centered around this concept.
