With more than 15 games in the franchise, "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater" debuted on Sept. 29, 1999. Games in the franchise encourage players to perform different tricks to increase a player's points and complete missions. The game was produced by Activision and Iron Galaxy Studios.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 Is Here—And Tony Turned His Office Into a Real-Life Level
The long-awaited Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 is officially out now, and you know The Birdman himself is celebrating the drop in a way only he could. Tony's team surprised him with a custom 'real-life level' inside his office—complete with goofy obstacles and nostalgic nods to classic challenges from the game (like a real-life secret tape). "Do not try this at home," Tony joked on Instagram. "Unless you have a rainbow rail and a lemon loaf." You'll see. Take a look: View the to see embedded media. 💻 💻 "Everything you loved is back," it mentions on the official THPS game website. "But revamped with more skaters, new parks, gnarlier tricks, eardrum shattering music, plus a whole lot more." From Bam Margera to Andy Anderson, Nora Vasconcellos to Jamie Foy, and countless others, the amount of new players is exciting in itself. But all the new levels do look pretty fun. The attention to detail is those who don't know, the original Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series was a game-changer when it dropped in 1999. It played a huge role in shaping skate culture and arguably introduced skateboarding to a global audience like nothing before it. Personally, I played both Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 religiously when I was a kid. And even though I was already pretty obsessed with skating at the time, the game really amplified that obsession. Safe to say the new THPS 3+4 will have similar results. Welp, it's finally here. EA Shutting Down Beloved PS4, PS3 Game After 12 Years
Electronic Arts is finally shutting down online servers for an acclaimed 2013 PS3, PS4 game after 12 years. Frankly, we're a bit surprised that multiplayer was still alive, but it won't be by the end of this year. According to a notice on both EA's website and Need for Speed: Rivals official PS Store page, online servers will be sunset on October 7, 2025. Other affected platforms include Xbox, EA App, and Steam. Since Need for Speed: Rivals can be played offline, we don't think the game will eventually be delisted. But if you want to try it before it's potentially pulled, it costs $19.99 on the PS Store and has one free DLC pack: Koenigsegg One:1 vehicle. There's also a Complete Edition for $29.99, and while there's no discount on any of the above at this time, EA Play members can play Need for Speed: Rivals as part of their subscription at no additional cost. All that said, we do want to warn trophy hunters that the game comes with online trophies. If that bothers you, now is a good time to make some progress towards them. Care home resident's dream comes true with steam train journey
A steam train ride through the countryside has made a lifelong dream come true for a care home resident. The trip was organised by staff at The Manor House Knaresborough, who are helping residents tick off their bucket list wishes. David, a resident at the Anchor care home who lives with limited mobility, always wanted to travel by steam train but never thought it would happen. He said: "I couldn't quite believe it was actually happening. "I'd always wanted to ride a steam train but thought it would never be possible. "The team here made the impossible possible, and that journey through the Yorkshire Dales was everything I'd dreamed it would be and more." The journey, which saw other Manor House residents take the trip too, took place earlier this month on the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway. Clive, another Manor House resident and passenger on the trip, once worked for British Railways and spent the day sharing stories from his time on the railways. Joy, who recently moved to Yorkshire, enjoyed a scenic tour of the Dales on the return journey, thanks to the driver, Steve, who pointed out landmarks along the way. A special moment was arranged for resident Susan, who was surprised by her family waiting for her on the platform (they went on to join her on the journey). The care home team also organised another treat for 101-year-old Susan, who is originally from Ireland and dreamed of returning to her hometown. Instead, the team brought Ireland to her by transforming The Manor House into a celebration of Irish culture, complete with professional dancers performing traditional Irish routines, and a birthday cake.
