Ministers, MLAs distribute pensions to elderly at doorstep
The Minister said that the government will fulfil its another poll promise of free bus to women in August. He said that the pensions will be distributed to elderly and disabled people at their doorstep on the first of every month. 'If the first of any month falls on a government holiday, we will distribute the pension one day in advance', he said.
He said that the government has re-introduced Anna Canteens to provide quality food at just ₹5 and is also giving Thalliki Vandanam to all the children in a family.
In Anantapur, District Collector Dr Vinod Kumar V. participated in distribution of pensions and a plantation drive in Velugonda village of Uravakonda mandal. After giving away pensions to the elderly people, the Collector interacted with them and sought to know their problems. Villagers complained of lack of proper drinking water supply and the Collector assured to resolve the matter.
He also laid foundation for construction of three additional tanks at the 'waste to wealth' plant and planted saplings there. The Collector found very few trees in the village and asked the locals to plant more trees as it would lead to rainfall and increase in groundwater levels.
Raptadu MLA Paritala Sunitha distributed pensions to beneficiaries at their doorstep in Bukkacharla village. When the villagers told her that an electricity line is passing through a tank, Ms. Sunitha asked the electricity department officials to shift the line within a month.
Minister for Roads and Building B.C. Janardhan Reddy distributed pensions in Gopal Nagar of Banaganapalle town while Minister for Minority Welfare N.M.D. Farooq distributed pensions in 36th ward of Nandyal town.

Reaffirming the NDA government's commitment to safeguarding public interest, Andhra Pradesh Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar has said there is no intention to increase power tariffs in the State. Later, he held a review meeting at the camp office of Badvel TDP in-charge Ritesh Reddy. He assessed the progress of Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) works in the district. Discussions were held on the construction of new substations, agricultural power connections, and distribution of transformers to farmers. Power for farmers Stressing the importance of uninterrupted quality supply, Mr. Ravi Kumar directed the officials to ensure nine-hour daytime electricity for farmers and 24-hour power for households and industries. Mr. Ravi Kumar emphasised that all manifesto promises were being fulfilled, citing examples such as the Deepam scheme, under which three gas cylinders were being given free of cost. He also announced that around ₹10,000 crore was deposited in a single day under Thalliki Vandanam scheme. He said the free bus travel scheme for women would commence from August 15. Similarly, ₹20,000 would be provided to the farmers soon under the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme.

Satya Kumar's padayatra evokes good response
Dharmavaram: Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav continued his second day of padayatra (walkathon) in Dharmavaram town, receiving an overwhelming response from the public. The yatra, focused on public engagement and grievance redressal, began at Raghavendra Swamy Kalyana Mandapam in Ward 18 and proceeded through Indira Nagar (Ward 19) and PRT Street (Ward 20). Walking door-to-door, the Minister listened to people's issues first hand and issued immediate instructions to officials for resolution, building public trust along the way. Taking the issue seriously, the Minister immediately directed officials to resolve it. Speaking to the media during the walkathon, Minister Yadav stated that the coalition government was working tirelessly to improve the standard of living for all citizens. He said the 2024 electoral victory felt like an early Diwali for the people, marking the end of misrule and the beginning of governance centered on public welfare. He highlighted the combined leadership of CM N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, and PM Narendra Modi, and outlined key achievements:₹15,000 under Thalliki Vandanam, Reinstatement of pensions, Free gas cylinder distribution, Health initiatives, Job opportunities for youth, Support for farmers, Women empowerment, establishment of a mega handloom cluster for weavers, improved sanitation and water supply in Dharmavaram town. Govt provided good governance during last one year: Savitha
Parigi: Minister for Handlooms and Textiles S Savitha on Friday stated that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has delivered good governance through development and welfare initiatives within the past year. During her visit to P. Narasapuram village in Parigi mandal, Minister Savitha distributed pamphlets detailing the government's welfare schemes. She affirmed that every promise made during the elections was being implemented. Going door-to-door, she enquired about people's issues and specifically asked if they had received free gas cylinders, pensions, and 'Talliki Vandanam' (salute to mother) scheme payments.
