WTA roundup: Lois Boisson makes first final in Hamburg
No. 5 seed Lois Boisson of France and No. 7 Anna Bondar of Hungary will both play in their first WTA Tour final on Sunday in the MSC Hamburg Ladies Open in Germany.
Boisson eliminated No. 2 seed Dayana Yastremska of Ukraine 6-1, 7-6 (5) in Saturday's semifinals. She converted three of five break chances and found success with her second serve, winning 70 percent of the points (16 of 23).
Bondar rallied for a 5-7, 6-3, 6-4 win against Slovenia's Kaja Juvan. Bondar converted five of six break points and took advantage of six double faults by Juvan.

No. 6 seed Jil Teichmann of Switzerland advanced to her first WTA Tour final since 2021 and will take on No. 7 seed and home hopeful Irina-Camelia Begu on Sunday in Romania.
Teichmann knocked out Romania's Sorana Cirstea 6-4, 6-3 in the semifinals, overcoming a 3-1 deficit in the first set by winning nine of the next 10 games. Teichmann also saved four of six break points.
Begu ousted fellow Romanian and No. 2 seed Jaqueline Cristian 6-4, 6-4. Begu saved nine of 11 break points and finally put away Cristian on her fifth match point.

United paid 65 million pounds ($88 million) to Brentford, with another 6 million potentially due in add-ons, for the 25-year-old Cameroon international, according to a club source. Mbeumo hit new heights in the 2024–25 league season, finishing with 20 goals to help Brentford to a solid 10th-place finish. Only Mohamed Salah (29), Alexander Isak (23) and Erling Haaland (22) scored more. "As soon as I knew there was a chance to join Manchester United, I had to take the opportunity to sign for the club of my dreams, the team whose shirt I wore growing up," he said. The versatile Mbeumo thrived on the right wing and also impressed as a centre forward, proving indispensable for Brentford by starting every league game last season. Motorcycling-MotoGP's Argentina Grand Prix to return in 2027 near Buenos Aires
(Reuters) -The Argentina Grand Prix, which will not be a part of the MotoGP calendar next year, will return in 2027 at a different venue near the capital Buenos Aires. MotoGP said on its website that the Autodromo Oscar y Juan Galvez, which staged several Formula One and motorcycle Grand Prix races until the 1990s, will be renovated to host the event, which has been held at Termas de Rio Hondo, over 1100 kilometres from the capital, since 2014. 'Starting in October, we will undertake a comprehensive renovation of the circuit, which includes work on the track, pits, paddock and safety zones, incorporating the latest technology," said Jorge Macri, chief of government of Buenos Aires. "Bringing MotoGP to the city means the arrival of an elite competition, with the most important international teams and riders, which will be enjoyed by around 150,000 people at the track."
