Top 10 most disliked YouTube videos: This Alia Bhatt movie trailer ranks No. 4

10 most disliked videos on YouTube of all time: With billions of users across the globe, YouTube has become a cultural powerhouse. It is home to creators of every kind, and has become a bottomless well of content. From how-to videos and educational explainers to hilarious vlogs and blockbuster music releases, the platform offers something for everyone.
Among the many ways audiences interact with content, the like and dislike buttons stand out as powerful indicators of a video's reception. These simple reactions—thumbs up or thumbs down—act as a kind of pulse check from viewers. While some videos are showered with love, others draw widespread criticism, sometimes becoming infamous for all the wrong reasons.
YouTube introduced the like/dislike system in March 2010 as part of a major revamp. Before that, viewers rated videos on a five-star scale. However, designers discovered that the middle ratings (two to four stars) were rarely used, making the system ineffective. The new thumbs-up/thumbs-down format offered a clearer, more direct form of feedback.
Let us take a look at the most disliked videos on YouTube.
As much as some videos soar in popularity, others go viral for less flattering reasons. Poor execution, controversial themes, or simply disappointing content can all lead to a flood of dislikes. These videos have gained notoriety not just for what they were trying to do—but for how the Internet responded to them.
Sitting at the top of the list is a surprising entry: Baby Shark Dance. Though it's adored by toddlers and has billions of views, it has also earned the title of the most disliked video on YouTube, showing how polarising kids' content can be when adults are forced to hear it on loop.
Previously, this title belonged to YouTube Rewind 2018: Everyone Controls Rewind, which was widely criticised for feeling out-of-touch with the creator community and lacking authenticity. That video quickly amassed 15 million dislikes shortly after its release and was the most disliked video on the platform until Baby Shark overtook it.
The trailer for Sadak 2, a 2020 Bollywood film starring Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur, also faced massive backlash. Released during a period of heated debate in India's film industry, it attracted over 5.3 million dislikes in just two days, eventually crossing 14 million, making it the most disliked film trailer on YouTube.
Another unexpected name on the list is Lakdi Ki Kathi, a children's song in Hindi, which has drawn over 11 million dislikes, adding to the pattern of divisive kids' content.
Here's the list of the 10 most disliked videos on YouTube:
Note: The dislike count is recorded as of May 21, 2025. It is important to note that these figures may change over time.

When Miranda met Andy! Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway spotted shooting together for The Devil Wears Prada sequel

The marketing team working the scene for The Devil Wears Prada sequel is clearly working overtime! Spotted! Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway shoot for The Devil Wears Prada 2 together in New York City (Photo: X) The sequel the rom com crowd has been waiting on for over 2 decades kept surging in and out of headlines earlier this year with a proper confirmation being dropped in May. It proceeded to go into production as the calendar turned to July and since then the streets of New York City have become (a) 'R'unway — pun intended. Anne Hathaway won fans' hearts for the millionth time when she recorded herself getting ready to head to work for Devil Wears Prada 2, in a cerulean blue sweater nonetheless! Now while everyone thought that's all the intel they'd have till the film storms theatres way down the line, Anne has been having quite some fun on her Instagram, even sharing her first ever look stepping back into her Andy Sachs era, though the fit choice feels like Miranda Priestly's sartorial training from the original film has stuck with her (character). Soon enough, she was seen flitting through the streets of NYC, reminiscent of her early Runway days. A casual trench fit stopping a fleet of traffic also made its way to the Internet till it stood completely upstaged by — no points for guessing — Meryl Streep's Miranda! Dress in lavender, tan, beige and the character's trade mark layered white crop bob, it's safe to say Miranda's first sighting from the film completely upstaged Andy's. Now if you thought your little heart stuck in the hallways of Runway from back in 2006 couldn't take it anymore, there's now a shot of Miranda and Andy, erm, we mean Meryl and Anne, shooting together! And of course, the snap is giving us…everything. Miranda is poised is her red bowed heels, a casual white blouse and a slim fit black skirt with a light beige trench for layering. The shell-rimmed sunnies add a chic finish. Andy on the other hand is giving updated rich b*tch millennial energy in her perfectly fitted wide leg white pants and an oversized white t-shirt — with a train nonetheless! White pumps, chunky neck pieces and rimmed sunnies complete the look. Both are being directed to position in the shot that's now going viral and it throws up a host of questions. Have Miranda and Andy reunited back at Runway? Is Runway even part of the narrative? Are they finally equal in social stature? We can hardly wait to have these questions answered! Besides Anne and Meryl, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci will also be returning to reprise their respective roles of Emily and Nigel in the sequel. Kenneth Branagh has been roped in to play Miranda's husband with Patrick Bremmall locked in to play Andy's love interest. The supporting cast too has expanded with the likes of Lucy Liu, Justin Theurox, BJ Novak and Pauline Chalamet have been brought on for undisclosed roles. The Devil Wears Prada 2 is eyeing a May Day release next year.

Joshua from Seventeen unveils heartfelt cover of 'Love Is Gone' featuring Slander

Joshua of boy band Seventeen Joshua from Seventeen has agreed to a collab that no one saw coming. The singer teamed up with American EDM duo Slander for a soul-crushing cover of "Love Is Gone". An Emotional Track Let's get one thing straight: "Love Is Gone" by Slander featuring Dylan Matthew wasn't supposed to be this song. When it dropped in May 2019, it was just another addition to the endless scroll of EDM tracks. But then the acoustic version hit in November 2019. With over 600 million Spotify streams and 280 million YouTube views, the acoustic version stripped away all the festival-ready drops and left just haunting piano keys with vocals that left a lasting impact on listeners. When Honey Meets Heartbreak Joshua Hong , the American-born member of Seventeen who somehow manages to make every song sound like a warm hug wrapped. His version of "Love Is Gone" doesn't just cover the original-it completely reimagines it with the kind of vocal control that makes other singers question their career choices. Where Dylan Matthew's original delivery felt raw and desperate (in the best way), Joshua brings this almost ethereal quality that makes you feel like you're floating through your feelings instead of drowning in them. The genius of Joshua's interpretation lies in how he bridges two completely different approaches to heartbreak. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like If you have a mouse, play this game for 1 minute Navy Quest Undo Western pop tends to scream its pain from rooftops, while K-pop wraps emotions in delicate layers of poetry. Joshua's version honors both traditions, giving us the emotional gut punch of the original with the gentle sophistication that K-pop fans have come to expect. Number Game Jshua's cover is priced at about ₩1,000 (around ₹62). The real value, though, isn't in the price tag-it's in the cultural exchange rate. For independent artists watching from the sidelines, this collab proves that geographical boundaries are just suggestions now. A DJ duo from Los Angeles can work with a K-pop star from Seoul, and the result resonates with fans from Mumbai to Mexico City. Why This Matters More Than Your Instagram Stories This isn't just another celebrity collaboration cooked up in some boardroom between people who've never heard of either artist. This started with genuine mutual respect-Slander were actually fans of Seventeen long before they reached out. In an industry full of manufactured moments, this feels refreshingly authentic. Joshua has been quietly building his international presence, previously collaborating with Pink Sweat$ and contributing to a New Kids On The Block revival album. Each project adds another layer to his artistic identity beyond "the English-speaking member of that really popular K-pop group." For Slander, working with Joshua opens doors to the massive K-pop market, which has proven incredibly lucrative for Western artists who approach it with respect rather than opportunism. The key difference? This collaboration feels earned, not bought. The Verdict: Should You Add This to Your Crying Playlist? Joshua's "Love Is Gone" is crisp, his vocals are absolutely pristine, and the arrangement gives you enough emotional space to really feel everything without being overwhelmed. If you're already a fan of either Seventeen or Slander, this is obviously going straight to your "On Repeat" playlist. If you're new to either, this serves as a perfect introduction to both-Joshua's accessibility for international audiences and Slander's ability to create electronic music with actual emotional depth.

Uorfi Javed Recalls Starving Herself To Look Thin: 'I Was Mentally F****d, Always Cranky'

Last Updated: Uorfi Javed reveals she struggled with body dysmorphia and starved herself to look skinny. In a candid chat, she admits to surviving on 3–4 chicken pieces a day. Known for her bold fashion choices and unapologetic public persona, Uorfi Javed recently revealed a deeply personal chapter from her past — one marked by body dysmorphia and harmful eating habits. In a candid conversation with Anshula Kapoor on her YouTube show Bunkk with Uorfi, the actress and social media star spoke about her experience with distorted body image and the impact it had on her physical and mental well-being. 'I developed body dysmorphia 3–4 years ago," Uorfi shared, opening up with unflinching honesty. 'I was starving. I stopped eating. I just wanted to be this really skinny person — like extremely skinny — so I just stopped eating. I would eat 3–4 chicken pieces a day and not even work out. I would just run." Her relentless pursuit of a certain body type came at a steep emotional cost. 'Mentally, I was f**ked. I was always cranky, I was always annoyed. If anyone spoke to me, I would be like, 'Why are you talking to me?'" she admitted. Fortunately, Uorfi says she's now in a much healthier place. 'Recently, I have started going to the gym. I've started lifting weights. I've started eating well. Now I don't care about being skinny," she added, embracing a shift in mindset toward strength and self-acceptance. The two also reflected on their time on the reality series The Traitors. Anshula recalled how Uorfi initially resisted indulging in sweets on set, only to do a complete 180. 'On the first couple of days, Uorfi would just smell the desserts, but by the third day onwards, she was like, 'I only want to eat desserts,'" Anshula said with a laugh. Uorfi admitted she was 'stress eating" during the shoot and eventually surrendered to her cravings, saying she ended up eating all the desserts available. Despite the highs and lows, Uorfi's resilience ultimately paid off. She emerged as one of the winners of The Traitors, sharing the victory with poker player Nikita Luther. Anshula Kapoor, who was also a contestant on the show, was eliminated in the eighth episode during the 'Circle of Shaq" segment. view comments First Published: July 26, 2025, 20:15 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
