Ryanair, easyJet and TUI cabin bag that's 'perfect for short trips' now just £17

"Great bag, I was amazed at how much stuff I was able to pack into it."
When you're excited about going on holiday, there's nothing quite like the reality of having to pack to bring you back down to earth. This is especially true if you've decided to avoid paying extra luggage fees and are just bringing a carry-on.
But with airlines having strict rules on size and weight, you can be left trying to cram a few days' worth of clothes into a small rucksack - and not doing well at it.
Luckily, Debenhams has slashed the price of the Cabin Max Metz 20L Underseat Cabin Bag Backpack, which fits perfectly within the under-seat restrictions for Ryanair, easyJet, and TUI - as well as the hand luggage limits for a number of other major airlines.
The Metz Cabin Bag comes in 20 different colourways, so there's something for everyone. The prices vary depending on the style, but many, including the classic black and the natty mid blue, are down to just £16.95.
For this very reasonable price, you're getting a 40x20x25cm bag that "fits exactly under an airline seat", according to one delighted shopper.
Debenhams say you can "pack more than you think" into the "spacious" bag. And customers agree, with one saying they were "amazed" at just how much they could fit in.

Product Description
It has a suitcase-style opening and a flexible soft-sided design to allow packing freedom and comfort. It's lightweight at just 500g and has a front pocket with compartments for a tablet, travel documents, tickets, and pens.
For those looking elsewhere, over on Amazon the Cabin Max Manhattan Backpack is also designed to fit Ryanair's restrictions. Just £19.95, and has been described as "like a Tardis" because of how much space is in the interior.
An alternative choice is the IT Luggage Duo Tone Trolley Bag from Dunelm for £28. The 40x25x20cm bag has two wheels and a telescopic handle, plus carry handles, so it is easy to transport in whichever way you choose.
Back to the Metz Cabin Bag, it has clearly gone down well with Debenhams shoppers as all but one of its 15 reviews are five-star. And its single three-star review is only because the buyer hasn't had a chance to use it yet.
One customer was delighted with its interior size, calling it "very handy". They added: "Great bag, I was amazed at how much stuff I was able to pack into it."
Another five-star reviewer said they "loved" the Metx backpack. They wrote: "I'm really happy with this rucksack! I love the colour and the fabric - it looks stylish and feels durable. The design is both brilliant and practical - with plenty of space for my clothes and daily essentials."
They also hailed its use for weekend breaks and general use, adding: "Most of my clothes fit in easily, making it perfect for short trips or everyday use. Highly recommended!"
As stated earlier, there were no negative reviews about the Metz Cabin Bag on Debenhams' website. Over on Trustpilot, Cabin Max has a mostly positive rating too, though some customers took issue with the sizes of their products.
One person wrote: "Awful bag with tiny straps that looks more like a children's bag! It does not suit a normal built adult at all. The bag sits awkwardly on the top of your back and falls back on the top. The straps are so short almost at your neck."
Someone else said: "The bag should have been a height of 55cm but it's actually 56cm. So I got fined £50."
Airline free hand luggage restrictions
RYANAIR: Small bag that must fit under the seat in from of you; 40x20x25cm

But most people who bought the bag were delighted with it. A five-star reviewer said: "Perfect free carry on - Ryanair size. This is perfect, meets the size restrictions for free carry on. The bag has 2 separate zip compartments & bits inside to organise your things. The rucksack can be made wider by adjusting the side ties."
And others were so happy with their purchase that they bought more. One such shopper commented: "Arrived in good time. I ordered two different colours, happy with purchase."
A similar customer said: "This is a great, sturdy backpack, ideal for taking on the plane as hand luggage. Well made with strong zips. My husband was so pleased with the quality of this bag that he purchased one in black."

Ryanair boarding pass policy to change to paperless system

From November, the budget airline will be moving to paperless boarding passes. This means that passengers will no longer download and print a physical paper boarding pass. Here is all you need to know about the change and how it will affect you. What's the best seat to book on a plane? Ryanair boarding pass policy to change to paperless system Currently, Ryanair offers different options regarding its boarding passes. Customers can print out a physical paper boarding pass at home to bring with them, or by using the app, can get a 'mobile pass'. There is also an option to request a paper boarding pass at the airport for £55. As of November, later this year, Ryanair will introduce a new boarding pass policy, which will not allow its passengers to print physical paper copies. Ryanair passengers will use the digital boarding pass generated in their 'myRyanair' app during check-in instead. While the internet is needed to access the boarding pass, once downloaded, it can be displayed without internet. When discussing the possibility of a phone dying or breaking at an airport, Ryanair told Which? that they will be "assisted by staff at the gate" and their details will be "cross-checked and validated against our flight manifest and boarded as normal". Ryanair says almost 80% of the airline's 200 million passengers already use this digital boarding pass, and that the move will enable passengers to reduce their carbon footprint by eliminating unnecessary paper, saving over 300 tonnes in paper waste each year. It also said that using the myRyanair app also "enhances customers' travel experience". Other app functions include an order to seat feature, live flight information and updates, terminal, gate and boarding status updates, and more. On the change, Ryanair CMO, Dara Brady, said previously: 'This move to 100% paperless boarding passes will allow us to deliver an enhanced travel experience for customers. "Like other ticket industries (concert, sports venues, rail, etc.) there has been a massive switch to using mobile, and with almost 80% of Ryanair customers already using the myRyanair app, it is time to transition the remaining passengers to digital, which will see them reduce their carbon footprint and receive a smoother and enhanced travel experience." Your rights if your flight is cancelled or delayed It is important to note that Turkey and Morocco do not accept mobile boarding passes yet, according to Ryanair's website. So if you are travelling to these countries, you will still need to print a copy off if you're heading to either of those countries. Other changes to Ryanair policy The upcoming change is not the only one Ryanair has seen, with the airline also increasing the size of the underseat 'free bag' following an EU rule change. It currently allows people a small "personal bag" that must fit under the seat in front for free, which must be less than 40x25x20cm. Recommended reading: Under new rules, this would increase to 40x30x20cm. Despite it only being a 5cm increase, the volume will be 24 litres instead of 20 litres. The date for the change isn't clear yet, but Ryanair said the change would be "implemented over the coming weeks, as our airport bag sizers are adjusted" - and would mean it's exceeding the EU's recommended minimum size.
