England captain Leah Williamson trains ahead of Euro 2025 semi-final following ankle injury
Williamson, 28, was forced off at half time of extra time during Thursday's penalty shootout win after landing awkwardly on her ankle.

The centre-back took part in team training at England's training base in Zurich on Monday, with all 23 players participating in the session ahead of the semi-final at Stade de Geneve.
England manager Sarina Wiegman said Williamson was due to be assessed on Friday, while fellow defender Esme Morgan said on Saturday the team were 'very optimistic' she would be available to face Italy.
When asked about the defender after the penalty shootout victory, Wiegman said: 'She rolled her ankle. I don't know what it is right now. She couldn't stay on the pitch, so we had to take her off.'
Williamson was also asked about her condition, to which she replied: 'It wasn't about me (tonight) and a game like that requires you to be at 100 per cent. It wasn't the time to stay on the pitch, but I don't know.'
Wiegman is due to speak to the media at 5.45pm BST later on Monday and is expected to give an update on Williamson's condition. The Arsenal defender has started all four of England's matches at Euro 2025.

BASEL, Switzerland (AP) — Spain leads England 1-0 at halftime in the Women's European Championship final on Sunday after scoring a very English-style goal. Mariona Caldentey's header in the 25th minute was fair reward for Spain's precise passing patterns around the tightly packed England penalty area. It was the fourth time in England's six games at this tournament that the defending champion trailed to the first goal before halftime. The English flavor to the opening goal was in a full back's cross from the byline finding the head of an Arsenal player to score as Ona Battle sent an accurate cross from the byline to Caldentey. Caldentey had gone close with a shot just minutes before scoring and tournament top scorer Esther González also had three scoring chances. Still, England had a clear chance to lead in the 19th.
