Israeli strikes and gunfire kill at least 14 in Gaza, including children - War on Gaza

Gaza's civil defence agency said Israeli air strikes and gunfire killed at least 14 people including three children in the war-stricken Palestinian territory on Sunday. Civil defence spokesman Mahmoud Bassal told AFP that 13 people died in air strikes at four locations around the Gaza Strip, and another from Israeli fire near an aid distribution centre. Bassal said two children were killed in an air strike on their home in Gaza City's Zeitun neighbourhood in the early morning, and 'the house was completely destroyed.' A member of the family, Abdel Rahman Azzam, 45, told AFP he was at home and 'heard a huge explosion at my relative's house'. 'I rushed out in panic and saw the house destroyed and on fire,' he added. 'We evacuated more than 20 injured people, including two martyrs -- two children from the family. The screams of children and women were non-stop,' Azzam said. 'They bombed the house with a missile without any prior warning. This is a horrific crime. We sleep without knowing if we will wake up.' Elsewhere, Bassal said a drone strike on a tent housing displaced people near the southern city of Khan Yunis killed five people including a child. He said that other casualties included a young man killed 'by Israeli fire this morning while waiting for aid' near a humanitarian distribution centre in the southern city of Rafah. Gaza evacuation order The Israeli military issued an evacuation order on Sunday for parts of Gaza City and nearby areas in the territory's north, warning of imminent action there. The military 'will operate with intense force in these areas, and these military operations will intensify and expand', military spokesman Avichay Adraee said in a statement posted on X. He told residents to 'evacuate immediately south' to Al-Mawasi area on the coast. Since the start of its war on Gaza in October 2023, Israel has killed at least 56,412 Palestinians in Gaza, mostly women and children. This story was edited by Ahram Online. Israeli gas exports to Egypt rebound to 1 bln cubic feet a day after Iran truce: Bloomberg - Energy

Natural gas exports from Israel to Egypt have rebounded to 1 billion cubic feet a day (bcf/d) following a ceasefire between Israel and Iran, Bloomberg reported on Sunday, citing informed sources. The increase marks a significant recovery from the 260 million cubic feet a day recorded when Israel's largest gas field, Leviathan, resumed operations last Wednesday after a 12-day shutdown triggered by the conflict. Israel's Ministry of Energy confirmed the temporary suspension of gas exports during the disruption and stated that efforts were underway to restore shipments, which are now reportedly at full capacity. In response to the disruption, Egypt implemented an emergency plan that included prioritizing domestic gas allocations and temporarily cutting supplies to some industrial sectors, according to a statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources. The ministry said it is also working to secure long-term supply contracts with international partners as a safeguard against future shocks. The developments come after a revised forecast by Goldman Sachs, which raised its outlook for Egypt's liquefied natural gas (LNG) imports earlier this month. The investment bank now expects Egypt to import 7–9 million tonnes in 2025 and 2026 and approximately 12 million tonnes annually from 2026 to 2030 — a sharp increase from previous projections of 4–5 million tonnes and 3 million tonnes, respectively. The revision reflects what the bank described as a 'structural deficit' in Egypt's natural gas supply. Separately, Israel's Ministry of Energy confirmed to Reuters that gas exports had been temporarily suspended due to supply disruptions and said efforts were underway to resume shipments as soon as possible. India Rejects Pakistan's Accusations Over Waziristan Suicide Bombing

Ahmed Emam India has firmly denied accusations from Pakistan alleging its involvement in a recent suicide bombing in North Waziristan, in northwestern Pakistan. In a statement, India's Ministry of External Affairs rejected the claims as baseless. "We have seen the official statement by the Pakistan Army attempting to attribute responsibility for the Waziristan attack to India," the statement read. "We reject this statement with the contempt it deserves." Meanwhile, Egypt has strongly condemned the deadly terrorist attack, which targeted a military convoy in North Waziristan on June 28, 2025. The assault resulted in several casualties and injuries. "The Arab Republic of Egypt condemns in the strongest terms the heinous terrorist attack," the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement. Egypt reaffirmed its steadfast position rejecting all forms of violence, extremism, and terrorism, and expressed full solidarity with Pakistan during this difficult time. Cairo also extended its heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Pakistan, as well as to the families of the victims, wishing a swift recovery for the injured. The incident has heightened tensions between India and Pakistan, two nuclear-armed neighbors with a history of strained relations, while drawing international concern over regional security. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream News Shell Unveils Cost-Cutting, LNG Growth Plan Technology 50-Year Soviet Spacecraft 'Kosmos 482' Crashes into Indian Ocean
