Liam Gallagher defends Scotland after Noel labels it 'third world country' ahead of Murrayfield gig
Oasis star Liam Gallagher was quick to stand up for Scotland during an argument with his older brother Noel, who branded it a "third world country". The High Flying Birds star previously mocked the country whilst having an online feud with Scots icon Lewis Capaldi.
Liam called his brother out on the remark after Noel previously branded him a 'moron' who would put his life on hold to get Oasis back together. Gallagher than hit back at Noel by tweeting his own definition joke of a moron.
He wrote: "Moron = The person who wishes aids on other people. Moron = The person who says Scotland is a third world country. Moron = The little one in Oasis with the big head and naff dress sense. As you were LG."
Noel later said that every tweet Liam puts out about him is a "nail in the coffin" of Oasis reunion hopes.
Addressing his brother directly, he added: "If you think for one minute I am going to share a stage with you after what you've said you are f****** more of a moron than you look."
Of course, Noel tweets have not aged well as the Gallagher brothers are now officially in the midst of their reunion tour - and their next stop is Scotland.
Liam and Noel are returning to Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium for the first time in fifteen years in less than a week's time for their Oasis Live 25' reunion tour.
Despite Noel's previous harsh comments about Scotland, the brothers are playing three nights in the Capital on August 8, August 9 and August 12.
It's also worth noting that he did make the remark in 2019 during his feud with Capaldi, which has now been put to bed after Noel branded him a "good lad".
In addition to this, he was still married to his Scottish wife Sara McDonald at the time, who he officially split from in 2023, which makes his diss against the country even more eyebrow raising.
.
Edinburgh born Sara and Noel announced they were going their separate ways at the start of 2023 after 12 years of marriage and two children together. The pair share sons Donovan, 17, and Sonny, 15, together.
Scots music PR Sara was known to not get along with Liam and Noel previously revealed that she was also not a fan of Oasis' music.
After 15 years of a very public fall out, Noel and Liam finally put their past behind them and announced the Oasis reunion tour last August.
The news came a year and a half after Noel's separation from his wife was announced.

Despite Liam previously telling fans online that Sara was the reason they'd never reunite as she disliked him and the band, it turns out that she may actually have been the key to the reunion all along after the rinsed the High Flying Birds singer of £20m in their divorce settlement.
The Scots PR also forced Noel to relinquish their lavish £8m Hampshire home.
Noel will now be set to make a fortune off his three nights at Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium as a part of Oasis reunion tour which kicked off last month.

Scotland's city with most 'dog friendly pubs' named and it's not Edinburgh or Glasgow
Several Scottish cities have made the list for having the most pup-loving pubs. Having a dog is a delight until you find yourself unable to enter cafes, shops and pubs if your pooch is tagging along. But many pubs these days welcome customers to bring their furry friends inside. In fact, several Scottish cities have topped the ranks for having the most dog-friendly pubs in the UK. Data from outdoor experts at Millets have revealed the ranks for the top 10 cities in the UK for dog-friendly pubs, and three of them are in Scotland. In fact, Aberdeen came out on top of the UK as the city with the most pooch-accessible pubs, counting 22 establishments out of a total 87 pubs that will welcome your four-legged friend. The research shows that over a quarter (25.3%) of pubs in Aberdeen are dog-friendly. One highly rated pup-friendly pub is Ma Cameron's. The popular bar offers a variety of cask ales from local brewers like Belhaven Brewery in Dunbar, making it the perfect place to visit with the whole family - including the furry members. Edinburgh took the second place spot with 72 dog-friendly boozers out of 287 total pubs (25.1%), with a popular option being The Scran and Scallie. Reviews on TripAdvisor call this pooch-loving pub a 'Quintessential Gastro pub with an interesting and diverse menu in a chic setting." Dundee was seventh on the list, with nine out of 46 pubs (19.6%) allowing dogs inside, so it's clear that Scots establishments know that their clientele are dog lovers. Wales also saw three cities on the list of dog-friendly pubs, with Llanelli, Merthyr Tydfil and Swansea coming in joint third place and fourth place respectively. As for England, Brighton, Bradford, Derby and Sheffield also made the list, coming in sixth, eighth, ninth and 10th place. Read on for the full list of the ten UK cities with the most dog-friendly boozers. Top 10 UK cities with the most dog-friendly pubs 1. Aberdeen - 22/87 (25.3%) 2. Edinburgh - 72/287 (25.1%) 3. And from blockbusters to scary movies, there really is a genre for everyone. Scots will be excited to hear, then, that ODEON's IMAX cinema at Xsite Braehead has reopening its screen today, Tuesday, August 5. It comes after a "major" upgrade, which includes a brand-new Laser system to elevate your viewing experience. The upgrade is going to give moviegoers "an unparalleled visual and audio experience." The new screen will "enhance" cinema trips for the local community and visitors, too, cementing XSite as many people's go-to destination for fun and leisure. The system sets itself apart with its 4K laser projection system featuring a new optical engine and a suite of proprietary IMAX technologies that deliver crystal-clear IMAX laser projection, enhanced resolution, deeper contrast, and the most distinct colours ever available on-screen. In addition to the visual upgrade, the cinema now boasts a multi-channel audio system that delivers greater dynamic range and precision, offering the ultimate audio immersion exclusive to IMAX screens. The system is also supported by IMAX's 24/7/365 Network Operations Centre and features built-in image calibration and audio tuning to ensure optimum performance at every screening. Laura Canavan Doyle, Senior Marketing Manager at ODEON Cinemas said: "We're delighted to expand our long-standing partnership with IMAX as we continue investing in our cinemas to elevate movie experiences. "We look forward to welcoming guests back to our Braehead cinema at XSite." Guests will be able to enjoy some of the biggest new blockbusters on the newly upgraded screen. This includes Marvel's The Fantastic Four: First Steps and the hotly anticipated horror film Weapons. We visited new £500,00 attraction at Scots theme park – it's the perfect day out with kids during summer holidays
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) THERE are two words frazzled parents dread hearing during the long summer holiday break: 'I'm bored'. But luckily a brand new £500,000 attraction has opened in the nick of time and will hopefully entertain youngsters. 4 Joel Patterson couldn't wait to tackle the castle Credit: Stuart patterson 4 Joel loved the new castle Credit: L patterson 4 Joel and his dad having a great time at the new attraction Credit: L Patterson Little-known Scots theme park Brechin Castle Centre has come to the rescue of mums and dads with a fantastic new playzone. I was invited to sample the new Dragontale Castle with my seven-year-old son Joel and my wife Lyndsay. The excitement started in the car when my son spotted the imposing 32-foot high structure as we drove towards the centre. He was amazed by the dragon's wings bursting out of the side and couldn't wait to get there. And as soon as we got inside he was off and desperate to tackle the new castle. Within seconds he had scrambled to the top and was running along the rope bridges. He got to play at being a king by sitting on the throne. And absolutely loved spinning the wheel of wonder, which dishes out fairytale tasks. One minute he had to act as a knight on the obstacle course while dad had to head to the wizard's library. There are telescopes in the towers and talking tubes so youngsters can send messages to each other from opposite ends of the site. Alongside that there are two slides, which kids never seem to get bored whizzing down. One of the UK's oldest theme parks launches first water ride in 25 years There was a challenge to try and work out which was faster. The two trampolines and swings add to the fun. We were there on a sunny day and despite it being packed it never felt overly busy because it's so big. A delighted Joel told me: 'I'm sure I've dreamed about this place.' 4 Thew new Dragontale Castle attraction Credit: supplied by Brechin Castle Centre Hours flashed by as we lapped up the incredible new castle. The crowds of kids all seemed to be as enchanted as my little one. Guests are free to bring their own food and drink and eat it outside at one of the many park benches. There is also a cafe. But the castle is not all there is try out and there are a host of other attractions on offer. The fairy trail is a treat for kids of all ages, as they pretend to be shrunk to the size of a butterfly and dodge a troll. Crazy golf was a hit with us as were the go-karts and the fast sledges. While the confusing maze went down a storm with Joel as he tried to make it to the flagpole in the middle. There are also zip slides, a foot golf course and massive jumping cushions to help drain off any final reserves of energy. We were all happy but tired after a day at Brechin Castle Centre that passed far too fast. And as we drove past Dragontale Castle on the way home Joel was determined to book in another visit sooner rather than later. Beware because instead of 'I'm bored' we're now hearing: 'When can we go back to the dragon castle?' Brechin Castle Centre is roughly half an hour from Dundee. It's open seven days a week, from 9am to 5pm. Dragontale Castle is included in the price of admission.
