TWICE celebrates 10th anniversary with bold new album and global tour

Express Tribune12-07-2025
As they enter their 10th year in the industry, global K-pop phenomenon TWICE is embracing a new era with their fourth full-length album, This Is For. The record not only marks a major milestone but also kicks off a bold chapter of experimentation and unity, both in sound and spirit.
Led by the empowering single 'Four,' the album symbolises strength through togetherness, something the members emphasised by donning matching blue outfits in teasers and presenting themselves as a single, unified figure. 'We wanted the nine of us to be one person, to feel powerful,' leader Jihyo explained.
Since their debut in 2015, TWICE has racked up historic accolades: headlining stadiums, topping Billboard charts, and becoming the first K-pop girl group to receive the Billboard Women in Music Award. They're also set to headline Lollapalooza this August, another first.
Their new album showcases a range of genres, from the EDM-inspired 'Right Hand Girl' to the old-school hip-hop vibe of 'Peach Gelato.' Jeongyeon described it as the hardest she's recorded due to its vocal demands, but one that she feels proud to have completed.
Beyond group tracks, members experimented with new units and sounds, and solo endeavours are growing. Chaeyoung is set to release her debut solo album by year's end, while members also contributed to the hit Kpop Demon Hunters soundtrack, now a global sensation.
TWICE's This Is For World Tour Part 1 kicks off July 19 in Incheon, featuring a unique 360-degree stage experience. 'We could have chosen the easy path,' Nayeon said, 'but we wanted a challenge.'
Reflecting on a decade of success, the group remains focused on growth, health, and staying grounded. 'Even mountains change in ten years,' Jihyo quoted. 'We've changed even more.'

Taylor Swift sends homemade sourdough bread with handwritten note to Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco

Taylor Swift marked Selena Gomez's 33rd birthday with a personal gift — a basket featuring homemade sourdough bread and a scented candle. The thoughtful gesture was shared by Benny Blanco on Instagram, capturing attention for its warm and playful details. Photo: Instagarm The basket included a sticker that read 'Homemade sourdough' and a handwritten note addressed 'For Selena + Benny,' signed 'Love, Taylor.' Another note added a clever touch: 'It's a loaf story,' a nod to Swift's well-known 2008 hit 'Love Story.' Swift, 35, has been friends with Gomez for years. The two were recently seen together in an Instagram photo Gomez posted on July 20, reflecting on what she called 'the most beautiful year' of her life. The image showed them sitting together in a room filled with balloons, celebrating the milestone. Known for her love of baking, Swift has previously shared treats with those around her. In May, she made Pop-Tarts for Travis Kelce's photo shoot team. Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid also revealed in 2024 that Swift once baked for the team's offensive linemen, making pastries to help her bond with the group. Blanco, Gomez's fiancé since December 2024, is also known for food-themed gestures. Earlier this year, he surprised Gomez with a Valentine's Day gift involving a bathtub filled with queso and a chip trail leading to a message that read 'I heart you.' Swift's bread and message offer a quieter moment of affection and creativity, fitting for a birthday celebration rooted in genuine friendship.
