'He Forced Me To Change Gender And Then...': MP Man Accuses Boyfriend Of Rape, Black Magic

Last Updated: A 27-year-old man from Obedullaganj, Madhya Pradesh, accused his male lover of betrayal, blackmail, forced gender reassignment surgery, drugging, rape, and confinement In a shocking case that has stunned Madhya Pradesh, a 27-year-old man has accused another man of not just betrayal and blackmail, but of forcibly altering his gender through surgery, drugging and raping him, and keeping him confined under threats of violence. The survivor, a resident of Obedullaganj, approached Bhopal's Gandhi Nagar police station last week with a harrowing account that stretches back to 2021. What began as a same-sex relationship, he alleged, spiralled into a terrifying sequence of manipulation, coercion, and abuse, culminating in a gender reassignment surgery he claimed was performed without his full consent. The complainant said that his ordeal began after a visit to his sister's in-laws' home in Narmadapuram a few years ago. There, he met Shubham Yadav, a local resident from the Gwaltoli area. The two men grew close over time, and by 2021, they were in a romantic relationship. The survivor claimed that Yadav built his trust, even transferring Rs 6 lakh into his account over time. But behind this apparent affection, he alleged, lay sinister intentions. According to the FIR, Yadav lured the complainant to a private hospital in the Khajrana area of Indore on November 18, 2022. There, the survivor claimed, a gender reassignment surgery was carried out without his proper understanding or consent. Just over a month later, on December 25, he was allegedly summoned to Narmadapuram, where he said that Yadav raped him under the influence of drugs. The victim alleged that he was then kept in captivity for 18 days. 'He would perform occult rituals on me at night and then sexually assault me," the complaint stated. He also claimed that he was repeatedly taken to a GNP hotel near Meenakshi Chowk and assaulted. The complainant further said that Yadav began demanding Rs 10 lakh in cash and threatened to kill him if he refused. 'He told me he would set me on fire if I ever returned to Narmadapuram," the survivor said. Fearing for his life, the youth finally approached Gandhi Nagar police in Bhopal. Given that several incidents occurred in Narmadapuram, the case was subsequently transferred to Kotwali police station there. SDOP Parag Saini has reportedly formed two police teams to trace the accused, who remains on the run. The case has raised serious questions around medical ethics, consent, and exploitation within vulnerable relationships. Police have launched a manhunt for Shubham Yadav, and efforts are underway to identify the hospital and medical personnel involved in the alleged unauthorised gender reassignment surgery. UP Woman Desperate For Child Made To Drink Toilet Water, Strangled To Death By Tantrik

Last Updated: In Pahelwanpur, UP, a 35-year-old woman named Anuradha died after a brutal exorcism by self-styled tantrik Chandu, sparking public outrage and police arrests. A desperate quest for motherhood turned into a nightmare in Pahelwanpur village of Uttar Pradesh's Azamgarh, where a 35-year-old woman died following a brutal exorcism allegedly performed by a self-styled 'tantrik' (exorcist). The incident has shocked the region and triggered anger, with police arresting the accused and deploying forces to control tension in the village. The deceased, identified as Anuradha, was reportedly taken to the exorcist by her mother and mother-in-law after remaining childless for ten years since her marriage in 2014. A native of Pahelwanpur and the daughter of Baliram Yadav, Anuradha had returned to her maternal home about a month ago. That's when someone suggested she seek help from an exorcist named Chandu, who lived in Harijan Basti nearby. The family alleges that Chandu promised to 'cure" Anuradha's infertility in exchange for Rs 1 lakh. An advance of Rs 22,000 was paid up front, with the rest to be given after the supposed success of the treatment. However, according to a detailed complaint lodged by the Anuradha's mother, she accompanied her daughter to Chandu's house on Sunday, July 6. There, the exorcism ritual turned violent. Anuradha's mother claimed that Chandu, his wife Shabnam, and two aides forcefully dragged her daughter by the hair, strangled her, and tried to make her drink toilet water. When Anuradha resisted, the exorcist reportedly said, ' Bade saaye hain, aise nahi jaayenge (It's a strong spirit, it won't leave so easily)." As Anuradha's condition deteriorated, the exorcist allegedly panicked and rushed her to a nearby hospital. Doctors declared her dead on arrival. Chandu fled the scene soon after, triggering public outrage. News of the death spread quickly in Pahelwanpur, and enraged relatives and locals surrounded the exorcist's house, demanding his immediate arrest. Local police arrived at the spot, pacified the crowd, and sent the body for postmortem. A heavy police presence was later deployed in the area to prevent any further escalation. On Monday morning, police confirmed that Chandu had been taken into custody. His wife and two unnamed accomplices have also been booked. The case has been registered under charges of culpable homicide and assault. The tragic death of Anuradha has once again brought attention to the dark underbelly of superstitious practices and the vulnerability of women in patriarchal rural settings, where desperation for a child often leads to dangerous and unscientific remedies. Fadnavis orders probe into tender process for hotel sale involving Shiv Sena minister Sanjay Shirsat's son

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday announced a high-level inquiry into the tender process for the sale of Hotel VITS in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar which involved a company owned by Social Justice Minister and Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Shirsat's son Siddhant Shirsat. Ambadas Danve, Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council, raised a calling attention motion on the now-cancelled tender process. 'A company formed in 2024 was allowed to participate in the bid. The hotel bid was fixed at a 2018 rate which was severely undervalued. The cartelisation of the companies led to the acceptance of a tender of a company that did not have three years of income tax returns as required. Will there be action against the officials and the company that won the tender?' Danve said. Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule said, 'We had previously issued six tenders since 2018, but no company came forward. The hotel's value was fixed based on the special MPID (Maharashtra Protection of Investors and Depositors) court.' The VITS hotel was a property of Dhanada Corporation Limited, listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange. In 2016 and 2017, the properties of the company were seized. In a bid to return the money of shareholders, the hotel was put up for auction, but according to the minister, no company responded to the six tenders floated since 2018. Danve said that M/s Siddhant Material Procurement and Supply won the tender at merely Rs 65 crore and that the current valuation of the hotel was around Rs 150 crore. He mentioned that the company's owner, Siddhant Shirsat, is a minister's son but the minister's 2024 election affidavit showed no property owned by his son. Danve was joined by Opposition MLCs Anil Parab, Bhai Jagtap, and Shashikant Shinde in seeking action against officials as well as the company's owner. As Bawankule said the tender process was cancelled and that the new process would take all precautions, the Opposition pressed for the resignation of minister Shirsat. Shirsat presented his side amid sloganeering in the House. 'The entire process has run through court orders. Every tender has been issued after court orders and not by officials. Nobody came forward six times when the tender was issued,' the minister said, adding that all the allegations were false and baseless. As the sloganeering continued, Fadnavis said the revenue minister clarified that the process had been cancelled. 'It is important that such cases should have transparency. Therefore, a high-level inquiry will be conducted to probe whether any irregularity has taken place in the entire process,' he said.
