Who was Belle in EastEnders as Bernie pays tribute?
Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris) has left Albert Square – but not before saying goodbye to someone first.
The character had quite a dramatic exit, having scammed the Panesar clan out of thousands and fleeing to Spain.
She thought she'd got away with the devious act when she framed accountant Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig), but little did she realise, the family were onto her.
Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota) installed spyware onto her laptop, but due to a delay, she was able to transfer a final £25k into her account before he and brother Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) realised.
On Bridge Street, Suki Panesar-Unwin (Balvinder Sopal) tried to block her from boarding the taxi with cousin Felix Baker (Matthew James Morrison). Bernie pleaded with her to let her go so that she could start afresh in the wake of brother Keanu's (Danny Walters) murder.

Concerned that the death could stir up more trouble for her, Suki stepped to one side, with Bernie and Felix driving off into the distance.
But in the moments prior to her exit, Bernie visited the Walford allotments and laid flowers beside a tree, asking Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) to do the same in her absence.
But whose memorial was she visiting?
Belle was the daughter of Bernie and her school mate Callum Edwards (Shaun Aylward).
In 2017, the baby was conceived following a brief fling. Callum offered his commitment to his new family, suggesting marriage.
Bernie was elated, but unfortunately the pregnancy didn't go to plan. More Trending
Just 18 weeks in, she went into labour at home and the child was stillborn. Bernie was heartbroken to see that her tiny daughter wasn't moving.
In the aftermath, mum Karen (Lorraine Stanley) arranged for a cremation and a memorial service was held at the allotment.
Brothers Keanu and Keegan (Zack Morris) gathered to plant a tree in her honour, and in true Albert Square fashion, things became heated. Keegan lashed out at Callum, with Bernie pleading with them to stop.

Wimbledon 2025 explained: Dates, how to watch, prize money and odds
The world's best tennis players have very much arrived at Wimbledon, with the Championships getting under way under glorious sunshine at SW19. Skip to: Draw details How to watch How to buy Wimbledon tickets Prize money When do the Wimbledon finals take place? New to 2025 British players at Wimbledon Latest odds Draw details How to watch Wimbledon on TV and streaming in the UK The BBC is broadcasting the event on BBC One, BBC Two and iPlayer. Isa Guha (in the morning) and Clare Balding (in the afternoon) will lead the presenting team. They will be joined by John McEnroe, Martina Navratilova, Billie Jean King, Pat Cash, Tracy Austin, Tim Henman and Annabel Croft. Every match is available to stream live on the iPlayer. The popular highlights show, Today at Wimbledon, has been moved to a graveyard slot on BBC2 – at 11.55pm on day one and a similar time thereafter. For viewers who want to watch the highlights show earlier, it will still be available at 8pm or 9pm on the iPlayer. Nick Kyrgios will not be returning as a BBC pundit at Wimbledon this year after being hired in 2024. The corporation caused outrage 12 months ago by hiring the 'bad boy' of tennis just over a year after he admitted assaulting an ex-girlfriend. Kyrgios said the BBC's decision not to include him is ' their loss more than mine '. By UK law, Wimbledon is a 'Category B' television event, meaning that although the men's and women's finals must always remain free-to-air, there is no guarantee that the rest of the tournament will not one day be shown on pay-TV. TNT Sports has the rights to show the men's and women's finals as well as a nightly highlights show at 10pm every day of the tournament. How to watch Wimbledon on TV in the US ESPN has the rights to show 140-plus hours of coverage from Wimbledon in the United States. In 2021, ESPN signed a 12-year agreement to broadcast the event. Coverage begins each day at 6am Eastern Time. Where is Wimbledon held? The tournament takes place, as ever, at the All England Lawn Tennis Club on Church Road, Wimbledon. The competition has been held on this site since 1922, when The Championships were moved from their previous location on Worple Road. How to buy Wimbledon tickets The public Wimbledon ballot is closed, meaning that most tickets for the show courts are unavailable. However, one of the traditions of Wimbledon is 'the Queue'. Every day fans can queue for a ticket to one of the show courts or for a grounds pass, depending on what is available by the time they reach the front of the queue. Each day 500 tickets for Centre Court (excluding the last four days), No 1 Court, and No 2 Court are sold. A grounds pass entitles fans to access all courts apart from the show courts. Resale tickets for Centre Court, No 1 Court and No 2 Court are available from 3pm each day, from the ticket resale kiosk north of Court 18. For more ticket information, click here. What is the Wimbledon prize money? In 2025, total prize money is £53.5 million, up 7 per cent from last year and is double the figure awarded 10 years ago. The men's and women's singles champions will take home £3 million each. First-round losers in the singles will receive £66,000. When do the Wimbledon finals take place? The women's final takes place on Saturday, July 12, and the men's final the following day, Sunday July 13. New for 2025 No line judges In a major break from history for the Championships, an automated electronic line calling (ELC) system will be adopted this year, consigning line judges to the past. The technology will be in place across all Championships and qualifying match courts, with more than 450 cameras installed across the two venues to facilitate its operation. A contingent of the former line umpires will return to the tournament in the new role of match assistants. Change to finals weekend The men's and women's singles finals will start at 4pm, two hours later than usual, to appeal to global broadcasters, with both matches now beginning on the west coast of the United States at the more generous time of 8am, rather than 6am. The All England Club said the decision to move the singles finals to later slots, with doubles showpieces starting at 1pm 'makes for a better conclusion to the Championships'. Wimbledon court and stadium guide Wimbledon has six show courts: Centre Court, No 1 Court, No 2 Court, No 3 Court, Court 12 and Court 18. Centre is the largest court at the All England Club and features the famous Royal Box. The court capacity on Centre is 14,974 while Court No 1 can hold 12,345. There are 12 other grass courts in use throughout the tournament. Court 8 was where an 18-year-old John McEnroe made his SW19 bow against Egypt's Ismail El Shafei in 1977. In 1995, on Court 14, Tim Henman became the first player to be disqualified from Wimbledon when playing in a doubles match with Jeremy Bates against the United States' Jeff Tarango and Sweden's Henrik Holm. Henman was punished for whacking a ball in anger, accidentally hitting 16-year-old ball girl Caroline Hall in the head. EastEnders fans open-mouthed as iconic BBC star appears in casino advert 21 years on from Walford exit - but do you recognise her?
EastEnders fans were left open-mouthed after an iconic BBC star appeared in a casino advert 21 years on from her Walford exit. Actress Hannah Waterman, 49, played Laura Beale in the hit show between 2000 and 2004. And while she was last seen on the Square more than two decades ago, some hardcore EastEnders fans have spotted her elsewhere. Taking to Reddit, one fan shared a snap of her posing as the model on the KenoGO advert in Australia. They asked: 'So I'm living in Australia currently and this advert keeps popping up on the TV and now social media. 'Is it Laura Beale's actress Hannah Waterman?' Taking to Reddit , one fan shared a snap of her posing as the model on the KenoGO advert in Australia (pictured) Another replied: 'Yeah looks like it, and I read somewhere that she moved to Australia a few years ago.' 'Yeah Hannah Waterman has lived in Australia for years. She was in Home and Away recently.' 'Looks like it lol!' Hannah took on the role of childminder and chip shop worker Laura. She first appeared on the show in 2000 and went on to be involved in a number of storylines. The character was married to Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt), but also had an affair with Garry Hobbs (Ricky Groves). Laura was killed off in 2004 after she fell down the stairs and broke her neck. Although Hannah is arguably know for playing Laura in the BBC hit, she has landed various other telly roles over the years. The star played Maria in Casualty, Maria Thomas in Doctors, Fern Parker in The Bill, Emily Driscoll in New Dricks, Kate in The Afternoon Play and Ruby Macintosh in Holby City. She also played DI Collier in Doctors, Rosemary Miller in BAli 2002 and Magistrate in Home and Away, most recently. Hannah has also starred in various films including The Missing Postman, Patient 17 and Touch. The soap legend previously married Ricky Groves in 2006, however they split in 2010 and divorced in 2014. Hannah has been with Huw Higginson since 2010 and they share one child together. Over the past 12 years Hannah has lived in Down Under with her family. Her Instagram bio states: 'UK actress based in Sydney.' It comes after an iconic EastEnders star looks unrecognisable four decades on from her soap debut. Mary 'the Punk' Smith, played by Linda Davidson, featured in the serial drama's original cast when it first aired back in 1985. She was a single mother to her daughter Annie and viewers saw the complicated character struggle to raise her child and earn money all while sporting her distinctive style. From becoming a prostitute to various failed romances, Mary had several controversial storylines before she left the show in 1988. Linda reprised the role in 2019 when she attended the funeral of fellow original cast member Dr Harold Legg and again in 2022 for Dot Cotton's funeral.

Danny Dyer leaves daughter Dani horrified with X-rated honeymoon confession
Danny Dyer isn't exactly famous for holding his tongue, but the actor has left daughter Dani Dyer mortified with an NSFW confession. Former EastEnders star Danny, 47, shares Dani, 28, Sunnie, 18, and son Arty, 11, with his wife, Jo, whom he wed in 2016. They're an incredibly close family, with Danny and Dani having worked together on several occasions, fronting their own travel show and hosting a podcast. However, her dad's latest admission was definitely TMI, even for Dani. The influencer and ex-Love Islander recently returned from her honeymoon after marrying West Ham star Jarrod Bowen. Speaking on their Live And Let Dyers pod, Dani reflected on their blissful getaway to Lake Como and the beautiful time she and her new hubby had, despite the miserable weather. 'The weather was terrible; it rained for three days,' she told Danny. 'But we were very lucky, because it always stopped raining when we went for lunch and for dinners and stuff.' She added: 'We just could never sunbathe, and there's not really much to do there. 'So, we just binged the whole series of MobLand. We ate and I'd just drink champagne and have loads of baths!' The TV personality and mum to three kids declared that the newlyweds were 'just so happy the whole time', having made the most of their time abroad before Jarrod returns to the pitch. But it didn't take long for Danny to steer the conversation into debauchery following her joyous recount of the honeymoon. 'To be fair, you shouldn't really be getting out of bed a lot on your honeymoon because me and your mother ended up in Florence, and you know, we was appalling!', he quipped. He added to a stunned Dani: 'I mean, honestly, I look back on it and I think, 'f***ing hell! How on Earth did I manage to get in those sorts of positions!' Letting her famous father know exactly what she thought of the confession, Dani told him: 'Oh, you're disgusting!' Still, she was in fits of laughter, with her dad hitting back: 'What do you mean disgusting? There was two people sharing their love. Them days are long gone now!' As expected, Dani and Jarrod's wedding was a lavish affair last month when they said 'I do' in front of their nearest and dearest. Dani looked radiant in a £10,000 gown, with the nuptials taking place at the £500-a-night Langley Hotel in Buckinghamshire. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Sharing a glimpse inside the celebrations on social media afterwards, Dani posted the sweetest video of her first dance with her dad. Danny also gave a speech on the day, during which guests were seen spinning napkins above their heads in one bizarre moment. Further details on the contents of his speech haven't been shared, although judging by his podcast anecdotes, maybe that's for the best. Dani met her now-husband in 2021 in a rather unusual manner, as he was her neighbour. They started interacting when he took parcels in for her, which sounds fresh out of a rom-com. More Trending After Jarrod moved out, he sent her a message on her birthday and, from there, they 'never stopped speaking'. Despite now being his wife, though, Dani is keen to keep her roots intact. Ahead of her wedding day, she told Heat: 'I am going to keep the Dyer—I am going to do Dani Dyer-Bowen just because of my work. 'I feel like if I am Dani Bowen, it takes that thing away from me. We are double-barrelling it.' Got a story?
