Nushrratt Bharuccha On Being Lonely In Bollywood: 'Whom Do I Tell Yaar?'
Nushrratt Bharuccha, known for movies like Pyaar Ka Punchnama and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, has now opened up about feeling lonely in the film industry. The actress has always been vocal about her opinion and often sheds light on the glamorised yet isolating world of showbiz. During a recent interview, Nushrratt claimed that people are now glamorising loneliness and there's always pressure to be brave. The Dream Girl actress admitted that she had no one to celebrate her achievement after winning an award.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Nushrratt was asked if people in the industry feel lonely. She replied, 'You know, you asked me this question at a very, very wrong time in my life. So it's not okay, and it's terribly lonely. Mere paas ek friend hai, Ishita Raj. Aur uske saath yeh bond banana, it took time. Yeh jo thick friendship wala scene hai, woh industry mein rarely hota hai, to be very honest. But hum dono hain."
She added, 'And pata hai, yeh recent months ki baat hai when I told her, 'Ishita, who do I have yaar? Where are the friends? Where's the support system? Where is that one person?' I remember I had picked up an award from town—kya film thi, mujhe yaad bhi nahi. See?"
Nushrratt further recalled, 'Main award leke gaadi mein bethi thi, and I was alone. I said to myself, 'Whom do I tell yaar? I've won an award. Kis ke saath celebrate karoon? Khushi kis ke saath baantoon?' It's time only."
The 39-year-old actress also questioned why people glamorise loneliness, saying, 'Loneliness ek prevalent functionality system ban gaya hai. Why are we glamorising it? I honestly don't understand that. I don't understand why it's so okay to say, 'Oh, it doesn't matter. It doesn't affect me."
On the work front, Nushrratt last appeared in her latest horror-thriller Chhori 2 alongside Soha Ali Khan. Directed by Vishal Furia, the film was released on Amazon Prime Video on April 11, and also stars Saurabh Goyal, Gashmeer Mahajani, Pallavi Ajay, Kuldeep Sareen, and Hardika Sharma in key roles.

Smita Jaykar Thought Priyanka Chopra Couldn't Be A Heroine: ‘She Was Dark, Looked Like Nothing'
Smita Jaykar says Priyanka Chopra was once 'skinny and dark', but stunned her with a diva-like transformation and global success. Priyanka Chopra has shattered countless stereotypes to become one of the most influential Indian actors in the world today. But her journey to stardom was anything but easy. In a recent interview, veteran actor Smita Jaykar, who worked with Priyanka in the 2004 film Kismat, recalled her first impression of the actress and how Chopra's incredible transformation left her stunned. Speaking to Filmymantra Media, Smita candidly shared, 'I did Priyanka's initial days' film with her, Kismat. She was very thin, skinny, dark. She was introduced to me and Mohan Joshi that she will be playing our daughter. When I saw her, I said, 'Oh My God'. She looked like nothing at that point of time. I thought how do these people come to become a heroine." However, Smita admitted that her perception changed completely. 'Cut to, Priyanka Chopra was wow. I thought what has this girl gone and done. She became a diva completely. So, you can't judge somebody and say, 'Yaar, yeh kisko leke aaye ho'. Kuch maaloom nahi kiski kismat kab badal jaaye. What an actress, fab!" Priyanka has always been vocal about her struggles with body image and skin colour. In an earlier interview with BBC, the Quantico star had said, 'I was called 'black cat', 'dusky'. I mean, what does 'dusky' even mean in a country where we are literally all are brown? I thought I was not pretty enough, I believed that I would have to work a lot harder, even though I thought I was probably a little bit more talented than my fellow actors who were lighter skinned." Despite the challenges, Priyanka has carved a unique path in global entertainment. She was last seen in Heads of State, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video on July 2. The action-comedy features her as MI6 agent Noel Bisset, alongside Idris Elba and John Cena. Meanwhile, Smita Jaykar will next appear in Maa Lapataa and the third season of web series Romeo. Paresh Rawal Slams Excessive Sex, Abuse In Web Shows: 'Cheap Tactics To Grab Eyeballs'
Paresh Rawal slams use of cuss words and sex scenes in shows, says content must be thoughtful, not just created to grab eyeballs with shock value. Paresh Rawal has been in the headlines for quite some time now due to the controversy surrounding his next film with Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty — Hera Pheri 3. Rawal, known for expressing his opinions openly, has now spoken out about the excessive use of abusive language and intimate scenes in films and shows just to grab eyeballs. In a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, the veteran actor shared an example to highlight his point and said, 'A woman filed a complaint saying that a man was roaming around naked. The police came but didn't see anything. So the woman said, 'Climb up on a stool and look.' The point is – if you're determined to find filth, you'll find it." Parash Rawal further elaborated on the use of sex scenes in content, adding, 'Content is a mirror of society, we show what exists. But we must use our judgment wisely. Not everything in society needs to be shown as-is; some things can be portrayed in a suggestive or subtle manner." Rawal continued, 'Baad mein log isliye uub gaye the, kyunki har doosri teesri series mein gaaliyan aati thi, sex scenes hote the — woh bhi bina kisi matlab ke. It began to feel like these were just cheap tactics to attract eyeballs. But the audience got tired. And when the makers didn't stop, the government had to step in," he concluded. Earlier this year, fans were left disheartened when Paresh announced that he would not be returning to the iconic role of Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, citing personal reasons and creative differences. His unexpected exit was reportedly followed by Akshay Kumar filing a legal notice due to the impact on production timelines. However, things seem to have taken a positive turn in recent weeks. During a recent podcast with Himanshu Mehta, Paresh confirmed his return, quipping, 'The film was going to happen anyway; we just needed a bit of fine-tuning. After all, everyone involved, Priyadarshan, Akshay, Suniel, we've been friends for so many years. It was just a matter of realigning." Now, with Priyadarshan back in the director's chair and the original cast reunited, Hera Pheri 3 promises a nostalgic yet fresh comic ride. Fans can't wait to revisit the chaotic world of Raju, Shyam, and Babu Bhaiya and see what hilarious mess they land themselves in next. First Published:

Paresh Rawal talks about political censorship over content. Paresh Rawal on censorship When asked about his views on political parties wanting to make content 'sanskari', Paresh said, "Let me tell you a joke, 'A woman filed a complaint saying that a man was roaming around naked. The police came but didn't see anything. So the woman said, 'Climb up on a stool and look.' The point is – if you're determined to find filth, you'll find it. Content is a mirror of society; we show what exists. But we must use our judgment wisely and judicially. Not everything in society needs to be shown as it is; some things can be portrayed suggestively or subtly." He spoke of how audiences grew tired of watching abusive language and sex in every series after a certain point and added, 'Baad mein log isliye uub gaye the, kyunki har doosri teesri series mein gaaliyan aati thi, sex scenes hote the — woh bhi bina kisi matlab ke (Later, people got fed up because every second or third series had abuses and sex scenes — and that too, without any real purpose). It began to feel like these were just cheap tactics to attract eyeballs. But the audience got tired. And when the makers didn't stop, the government had to step in. It is the government's job to maintain public opinion and taste."
