‘The game's rorted': Maroons forward who labelled Origin ref ‘double agent' reprimanded
The Dolphins forward was in good spirits on Thursday morning when he fired a light-hearted barb at Klein over his officiating in game three, with the NRL handing down a breach notice alleging Kerr's comments were 'detrimental to the best interests of the game'.
The Queensland squad member was also deemed to have 'undermined the credibility of match officials', being given five days to respond before a potential punishment is handed down.

'I'm not sure how much trouble I could get into for saying it but I thought Ash Klein did a bit to try and, you know, even it up or make it a bit closer,' Kerr told Fox Sports News.
'We were sitting there going, 'it's rorted, the game's rorted'.
'I haven't got the best eyesight at times but I'm watching four passes and sh*t.
'We were all on the sideline just going, 'oh, no, it's a double agent'.
'It makes it more exciting, doesn't it, and it brings out the Queenslander in all those players.'
Klein came under fire after game two in which the Blues were on the wrong end of a lop-sided 10-2 penalty count. That was reversed in the decider where the Blues won the count 7-3.
The Maroons were too strong for the Blues in the series decider, winning 24-12 at Sydney's Accor Stadium.
The visitors led 20-0 at halftime, scoring three unanswered tries through Xavier Coates, Tom Dearden and Harry Grant.
Blues centre Stephen Crichton scored the first try of the night for the hosts at the 55th minute, before Dearden went in for his second of the night at the 73rd minute, to seal the result.
NSW winger Brian To'o scored a consolation try at the 79th minute.
It was Maroons coach Billy Slater's third series win from his four in charge, going back to 2022.

AFL bans Eagles' Jack Graham for using homophobic slur against Giants
The AFL has banned West Coast Eagles player Jack Graham for four matches after he admitted to using a "highly offensive homophobic slur" against a GWS opponent. The incident occurred during the round 17 match between the Eagles and Giants in Perth this month. Graham self-reported the incident to the Eagles, who informed the AFL integrity unit on Friday. The AFL said Graham's sanction would have been heavier had he not self-reported. "Graham used a highly offensive homophobic slur against a GWS Giants opponent, which demeans and denigrates persons regardless of their sexuality," an AFL statement read. "Graham has received a four-match sanction, with the AFL taking into account Graham's self-reporting of the incident, along with his private apology and contrition. "Graham also rang the AFL CEO [Andrew Dillon] directly to apologise. "He will not be eligible to play for the West Coast Eagles or any level of football for the next four weeks. "As a part of the sanction, Graham will also undertake Pride in Sport education." Graham said he took responsibility for his behaviour. "I am very remorseful for the word I used and know such language has no place in our community or our game," Graham said in an Eagles statement. "I have offered my unreserved apology to the Giants player and Greater Western Sydney and would also like to publicly apologise for my comment. "What I said does not reflect my values or our club values. I made a mistake and need to be better and will prove that through my actions going forward." Eagles chief executive Don Pyke said the club was "very disappointed" by Graham's comment. "The word Jack used is completely unacceptable and does not align with societal and club values," Pyke said. "Jack understands the harmful effects comments like these can have on others and he has been honest in addressing this matter." AFL head of integrity and security Tony Keane said the word used by Graham was "hurtful". "The AFL is very clear that homophobia has no place in our game, nor in the community," Keane said. "We have come a long way as a code, but this incident demonstrates there is so much more to be done, and we will continue to work together to improve our game as a safe and inclusive environment for all. "The AFL will continue to consider the specific circumstances in each incident in determining appropriate responses." ABC

But the story of the truck driving trainer with a handful of horses, one of which qualified for the $3m Stradbroke, will go down in carnival folklore. Cousins trains from stables out the back of his mum's house and he enjoyed every moment of Stradbroke week, even buying himself a new suit for the occasion. After The Inflictor won a Listed race, he went out of his way to thank the media and everyone else for the wonderful magic carpet ride he had been on. A real character and a gentleman. â– â– â– â– â– BEST NEW TALENT When Cool Archie won a couple of two-year-old races at the start of the carnival, it didn't really turn the dial. Sherry arrived in Australia without a job and with his passion for racing wavering, but Losty never lost faith and kept urging him to follow his racing dreams even when he was working on a building site erecting temporary fences. Frenzy after AFL star's classy interview following gruesome injury

The Fremantle star showed no sign of distress as he spoke to Fox Footy after the Dockers' big comeback win over Hawthorn on Saturday — except for a gruesome head wound. Brayshaw grinned and spoke with class during his on-field chat with Fox Footy's Kath Loughnan on the Optus Stadium turf just moments after the final siren sounded on the home team's 13-point win. Loughnan appeared to have second thoughts about going through with the interview, saying she earlier asked Brayshaw if he was really up for it. You can watch the ugly incident in the video player above. 'You let me know if you feel dizzy at all during this interview as I see the blood rushing down your face,' she said. She finished the interview by saying: 'I really feel like I need to let you go to the doctor. Thanks for chatting Andrew'. Brayshaw had come from the field in the final minute of play and was escorted to have a seat on the bench by a medical official. With blood coming down his head, Brayshaw waved to the crowd to fire them up with his hand gestures as he walked off the field. Replays showed he had taken a knee to the head during a marking contest late in the game. Brayshaw was at the bottom of a pack when teammate Luke Jackson launched into the air and accidentally took Brayshaw out in a sickening collision. None of it seemed to bother Brayshaw, who was much more interested in speaking about the impact Michael Walters had on the club as the Dockers celebrated the veteran with a special farewell. Brayshaw was the player everyone wanted to hear from at the end of the game after he provided the spark his team needed with a career-high 14 tackles, to go with 29 disposals, and six clearances. Fremantle coach Justin Longmuir said Brayshaw's performances are usually a gauge for how his side plays. 'He was disappointed with his game last week as well,' Longmuir said. 'I know (midfield coach) Joel Corey asked him for more defensively, and he's a barometer for us when he's bringing his pressure, when he's bringing his trademark efforts to chase down. 'So, yeah, him leading the way, and all our leaders leading the way in an area of focus is really important.' The interview divided footy fans and there was a frenzy of social media comments made about the incident. Many fans praised Brayshaw for his bravery. Fox Footy commentator Adam Papalia said after the interview: 'Well that just typifies Andrew Brayshaw.' Footy fans on Reddit called in 'badass'. Others said it was in similar fashion to interviews UFC fighters hold inside the Octagon after fights. One footy fan posted on X: 'Brayshaw doing post game interview with more blood than a Jaws movie. 'Never seen that before haha.' The win was Fremantle's seventh in eight weeks and they are now four points ahead of the ninth-placed Western Bulldogs. Longmuir said he'll let the players enjoy the win over the Hawks before looking towards the their blockbuster against Collingwood. 'Yeah, it's the biggest challenge in footy,' he said about the Round 19 task. 'You go not only to take on Collingwood, who are the best team in the comp, but you go and take on the Magpie Army and the crowd and yeah, it's a great challenge for us. 'So, we'll enjoy this win first. Wins are hard to come by. 'Allow the players to sit in it for a few days and then we'll start prepping for Collingwood, so a great challenge.'
