Inside Manuel Turizo's 201 World Tour: ‘We're Going to Create Chaos'

Yahoo11-06-2025
Manuel Turizo officially hits the road on Wednesday (June 11), taking his 201 World Tour to Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
The CMN and La Industria Inc-produced stint is in support of his latest studio album 201, which is an homage to the apartment number where he grew up in Montería, and 'represents all those dreams I had since I was a child, all those young desires,' he previously told Billboard.

In bringing the ultra-personal and intimate album to life, Turizo assures us that 'the story [of my album] will be finished telling on the tour.'
'I was thinking about how to connect Manuel Turizo as a performer with where he comes from and where all these inspirations or all these stories a person lives originate,' he tells Billboard in an exclusive interview at his Miami home. 'All of that happens in my house. In [apartment] 201 there were heartbreaks, there were loves, drunken parties with friends, with family—all the stories are there. All the songs are born there, all the ideas are born there. I wanted to tell it in the same way and bring that 201 to the 70 cities where I'm touring.'
He reveals that the stage is inspired by his childhood living room back in Colombia: '201 tour is basically Manuel Turizo's apartment that we're going to fill with people and create chaos,' he elaborates.
While on tour, the Colombian artist will visit other Latin American countries like Chile, Costa Rica and Argentina, before launching the North American leg of the trek on Aug. 21 in Chicago. After visiting major markets like New York, Miami and Los Angeles along the way, he will return to Latin America to wrap up, with the last date on Dec. 6 in Guatemala.
Above, check out our exclusive 'En Conversación,' where Turizo also opens up about his friendship with Shakira, his No. 1 Billboard hit 'En Privado' with Xavi, releasing new music and more.

Lisa Matches Her Own Radio Record With Her Latest Collaboration

Lisa ties her personal best on Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart as 'Priceless' with Maroon 5 ... More climbs to No. 24, matching her solo hit 'Moonlit Floor.' (Photo by Gilbert Flores/Billboard via Getty Images) For years, Lisa has been a certified pop powerhouse all around the world, first as one-fourth of Blackpink, and most recently on her own as a solo artist. She's proven several times that her appeal isn't limited to K-pop audiences, including with several hits on American pop radio. This week, Lisa manages to tie her own record on one of Billboard's pop airplay tallies. The singer sees her latest single, 'Priceless,' a collaboration with Maroon 5, match her own best showing on one list as it continues to slowly climb. 'Priceless' Rises to Lisa's Career High 'Priceless' advances to No. 24 on the Adult Contemporary chart this week. That's not only a new high for the track, but also the same peak position Lisa previously reached with her solo release 'Moonlit Floor.' The latter tune debuted on the ranking in March and slowly rose to No. 24 in late April, stalling in that spot. At the time, it marked an important moment for Lisa, who became one of the only K-pop soloists to appear on the ranking. The cut also benefits from Maroon 5's established popularity across radio stations in the U.S., and Lisa's name on the billing has undoubtedly drawn added attention from programmers, and the tune is surely being promoted heavily. Two Hits, One Chart Lisa currently sees two cuts sit near one another on the Adult Contemporary — a very rare feat for K-pop stars (Lisa is from Thailand, but started her career in K-pop, and is usually associated with the genre). While 'Priceless' moves up to No. 24, 'Moonlit Floor' holds at No. 27. 'Priceless' Climbs on Several Charts In addition to its growth on Adult Contemporary, 'Priceless' is also surging elsewhere. This week, the track pushes deeper into the top 10 on the Adult Pop Airplay chart, where it now settles at No. 8 – one of the loftiest spaces any K-pop musician has ever reached. It also lifts ever so slightly on the all-style Radio Songs tally, inching north from No. 48 to No. 47. The cut is also a non-mover at No. 22 on the Pop Airplay roster, where it previously topped out at No. 18.

(Photo by Cindy Ord/VF25/Getty Images for Vanity Fair) Getty Images for Vanity Fair Tate McRae has been working her way up to pop star status for years. She first scored hits on the Billboard charts several years back, but her most recent full-length So Close to What produced several of her biggest successes. A handful of recent collaborations have also propelled her further into the spotlight. This week, the Canadian pop singer scores a new win on one of Billboard's most competitive radio rankings. As her latest single debuts, she breaks out of a tie with several of the biggest stars in music, proving that her moment has truly arrived. McRae's single "Revolving Door" debuts on the Pop Airplay chart at No. 39. The tune comes in second-to-last place on the list of the most successful cuts at top 40 stations in the United States. Its arrival marks the singer-songwriter's twelfth appearance on the tally. Even though it begins in a very low position, "Revolving Door" is still a special win for McRae. This frame, she claims the most hits among all artists on the Pop Airplay chart. Several other acts fill two spaces, but McRae is the only one who claims three. Her solo cut "Sports Car" can be found at No. 15, while "What I Want," a collaboration with country powerhouse Morgan Wallen, isn't far behind, coming in at No. 19. Tate McRae Beats Lady Gaga, Benson Boone and SZA Four other artists claim two smashes each on the Pop Airplay roster this frame. That roundup includes Benson Boone, Lady Gaga, and Kendrick Lamar and SZA, who are featured on one another's tunes. Tate McRae's Multi-Genre Radio Success In addition to her success on the Pop Airplay chart, McRae can be found on the Adult Pop Airplay tally with several tracks. She also returns to the Country Airplay list this week alongside Wallen, where "What I Want" reenters at No. 60, in last place. While that tune has already dominated the Hot 100, it has yet to become a true win at country radio, as pop stations have adopted it much faster.

Morgan Wallen Dominates Country Radio Like Few Before Him

Morgan Wallen dominates Billboard's Country Airplay chart this week with five tracks, including two ... More top 10 hits and a debut with 'I Got Better.' NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE - NOVEMBER 09: Morgan Wallen attends the 56th Annual CMA Awards at Bridgestone Arena on November 09, 2022 in Nashville, Tennessee. (Photo by Taylor Hill/FilmMagic) Billboard's Country Airplay chart is perhaps the most competitive of all the company's radio rankings, and certainly one of the busiest. Radio still makes a huge impact in the country space, and competition for the highest reaches is fierce between singer-songwriters. It's not common for any act to fill more than one or two spaces at a time, and a trio of wins at once is a surefire sign that a musician has become a superstar in the country world. Morgan Wallen has advanced beyond that title, and he manages a truly incredible feat this week. Morgan Wallen's Five Country Radio Smashes Wallen fills five spaces on the Country Airplay chart at the moment. He ups his count significantly from last time around, as 'I Got Better' debuts at No. 40, while 'What I Want,' his collaboration with Tate McRae, reenters the ranking. That tune, which has already conquered both the Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs charts, breaks back in at No. 60 – in last place – after once rising to No. 55. Multiple Top 10 Hits Also included in Wallen's roundup of smashes are a pair of top 10 hits: 'Just in Case' and 'I'm the Problem.' One of several singles and the title track from his recently-released blockbuster album sits at Nos. 3 and 4, respectively, side-by-side. Morgan Wallen and Post Malone's Second Duet One of Wallen's two collaborations with Post Malone, 'I Ain't Comin' Back,' dips slightly 10 weeks into its tenure on the tally. Last time around, 'I Ain't Comin' Back' sat at No. 30, its all-time high point. This frame, it slips to No. 35. Jelly Roll Follows Next Jelly Roll claims the second-most hits on the Country Airplay chart at the moment, with three. 'Heart of Stone,' 'Hard Fought Hallelujah' with Brandon Lake, and 'Amen' with Shaboozey all manage to appear. Shaboozey, Parker McCollum, and Chris Young score a pair of wins each, while every other artist on the 60-spot roster manages only to live in one slot. Wallen's success on the Country Airplay tally is impressive, but he claims significantly more spaces on tallies like the Hot 100 and various country-only rankings.
