
Missing senior found after silver alert: Winnipeg police
An 85-year-old man who went missing Friday morning has been safely located, according to the Winnipeg Police Service.
CTV News previously reported the man was last seen at 7:30 a.m. around Fort Street and St. Mary Avenue. Nearly 11 hours later, police confirmed he was found safe.

Serious crash in north Regina sees car split power pole in half
The wrecked vehicle appeared to have sheered a power pole off at its base before colliding with another. (Gareth Dillistone/CTV News) The Regina Police Service (RPS) has shut down the area of 6th Avenue North and Smith Street following a serious crash. Traffic is shut down in all directions near the site of the crash, according to an advisory issued just after 6 a.m. Thursday. Photos from the scene show a heavily damaged vehicle lying on its side. Behind it, a power pole is sheered off at its base - leaving the power line above dangling. RPS asks the public to avoid 6th Avenue North between Albert Street and Cornwall Street and to find an alternate route. Police provided no other details pertaining to the crash, including the status of the driver. Police make arrest in investigation into Halton Hills sexual assaults dating back 25 years

Police have arrested a man in connection with an investigation into multiple alleged sexual assaults dating back 25 years. Police say their investigation into 'incidents of historical sexual assault' began last month. They allege that incidents involved a male victim and that they allegedly occurred in Halton Hills beginning in 2000. A suspect, identified as 58-year-old Jesus Erick Luna Valdovinos, of Halton Hills, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with four offences, including two counts of sexual assault. Police say they're concerned that there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward. They say that the accused is self-employed and operates his own window cleaning business. Anyone with information is being urged to contact the Halton Regional Police Service or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
