Digital games' effects
The workshop, which took place on Tuesday, was presented by Mohammed Rashid Rashoud Al Hamoudi, who interactively discussed the negative effects of excessive use of digital games and their psychological, behavioural, and health effects on children and adolescents. He also discussed methods for achieving digital balance and ways to promote a safe digital culture, enhancing participants' awareness in this vital field.
The event was attended by His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Tarban, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dibba Al Hisn Football Club, and Ahmed Abdullah Al Qasib, Chairman of the Organising Committee, along with a number of parents and interested parties. The interactive atmosphere was filled with purposeful discussions and questions that reflected the participants' interest.
Our heritage and children
The workshops were complemented by a heritage event titled "Our Heritage and Children," which focused on the importance of instilling concepts of national identity and the values of authentic Emirati society in the hearts of young people. Participants were introduced to elements of popular heritage and social customs through an engaging narrative and practical approach that helps connect the new generation to their cultural roots.
Heritage gypsum
The third workshop, titled "Heritage Gypsum," was presented by Professor Asma Rashid Al Kabouri. She reviewed the history of traditional gypsum in Emirati architecture and its shaping techniques. Participants engaged in practical sculpting and shaping themselves, which gave them the opportunity to get a closer understanding of this authentic heritage art form and enhance their artistic and creative skills.
Integrated summer programmes
These workshops and activities are part of the club's strategy to offer integrated summer programmes that combine entertainment and learning, aiming to build children's cognitive, national, and physical character, in line with the Emirate of Sharjah's efforts to support children and develop their abilities.
The day's activities also included various sporting activities held in the indoor gymnasium, including football, karate, swimming, and stationary cycling. The activities were held in an exciting atmosphere that encouraged participants to continue their activity and movement in a safe and integrated educational environment.
