'Robbers' including one in FIA uniform held
A Judicial Magistrate (East) has sent four accused, including a TikToker, to jail on judicial remand in connection with a robbery involving over Rs130 million. The suspects, identified as actress Yasra, Nimra, Shehryar, and Shehroz, were produced before the court of the Judicial Magistrate East. The court ordered the suspects to be sent to jail on judicial remand and directed the investigating officer to submit the challan at the next hearing. According to the police, the accused were involved in a robbery on the night of June 26 at a house in PECHS. The robbers managed to flee with over Rs130 million in cash, expensive watches, laptops, and mobile phones. The gang included two men and three women, with one of the robbers wearing FIA uniform to pressurise the victims. The suspects were reportedly reached the victim's house in a Toyota Revo vehicle to commit the crime. The case has gained significant public attention due to the involvement of social media influencers, and investigations are ongoing. Meanwhile, the Judicial Magistrate (South) has issued notice on a bail application filed by a domestic worker Shehnaz, accused of stealing Rs50 million from her employer's home.

Two policemen booked for illegal detention
Two police officers have been booked in Jaranwala Saddar police station on charges of illegal detention and abuse of power following a complaint filed by a resident of Makuana. In her complaint, Salma Bibi stated that she was returning home with her son, Mujahid Iqbal, on a motorcycle after attending a court hearing at Magistrate Court, Saddar Jaranwala police station. When they reached Chak 119-GB, just past Main Bazaar Mosque, two cops on a motorcycle pulled up beside them and claimed that her dupatta (scarf) had gotten caught in the motorcycle's wheel. When her son stopped the motorcycle, the unidentified officers pulled out a pistol, grabbed him by the collar, assaulted him and pushed him to the ground. They snatched his mobile phone and Rs51,000 in cash before forcibly taking both of them to Saddar Jaranwala police station. The police officials locked her son in custody, impounded the motorcycle, and told her that they were taking him to the CIA Makuana for investigation. When she contacted the SHO of Saddar Jaranwala City police station, he assured her that her son would be released after questioning. However, later, the police falsely implicated her son in a robbery case and made him participate in an identification parade.
