Bahrain, Saudi business chambers discuss stronger youth entrepreneurship ties
The Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sameer Abdullah Nass, received a delegation from the Young Businessmen Council of the Eastern Province Chamber (Saudi Arabia) yesterday, to enhance cooperation among GCC chambers and foster the exchange of expertise. Nass underlined the strong fraternal and economic ties between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and commended the council's role in encouraging youth innovation. He stressed that the Bahrain Chamber views entrepreneurship as vital to the private sector and actively supports the growth of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). He also noted improvements in the Chamber's sectoral committees, particularly through the use of performance indicators to measure outcomes and effectiveness. Chief Communications Officer Ebrahim Al-Tamimi gave an overview of Bahrain's economic and business ecosystem, including key entities such as the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Economic Development Board, Tamkeen, Bahrain Development Bank, and 'Export Bahrain,' among others. He highlighted the country's support systems for startups, funding, and international expansion. Abdulrahman Al-Afaleq, Chairman of the Eastern Province Business Youth Council, said the visit aimed to explore Bahrain's investment climate and build partnerships with Bahraini entrepreneurs. The council, which includes 50 members, seeks to inspire youth entrepreneurship and promote successful ventures. Ahmed Al-Sharaf, Business Development Director at Tamkeen, showcased the organisation's range of funding, training, and advisory programmes that support business growth and sustainability. The Saudi delegation also visited incubators run by the Bahrain Small and Medium Enterprises Development Society, where they reviewed mechanisms for supporting startups and encouraging innovation across different sectors.

Seef Properties signs MoU with Saudi-Based AWJ Real Estate
Seef Properties, one of the leading real estate development companies in the Kingdom of Bahrain, has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Saudi Arabia's AWJ Real Estate to jointly develop a mixed-use project in Riyadh. The project will be located within the Al Rabwa development in Riyadh, one of AWJ Real Estate's flagship projects in the Saudi capital. Spanning approximately 160,540 square meters, the project is envisioned as an integrated urban destination. It will feature family entertainment centers, restaurants and cafés, office spaces, and residential units — all developed according to the highest standards of sustainable urban planning. Under the MoU, Seef Properties will assume the role of developer and strategic partner, while both companies will collaborate on the framework for planning, designing, and executing the project, paving the way for a long-term strategic partnership. On this occasion, Mr. Ahmed Yusuf, CEO of Seef Properties, stated: 'The Saudi market presents substantial opportunities with its continued growth and dynamic landscape, making it a promising environment for value-added real estate developments. This agreement marks a pivotal step in our regional expansion strategy.
