One of the richest men in the world, Mukesh Ambani and his family are always in the limelight and make headlines for their philanthropic works or their style. The Ambani family's love for cars is not hidden, and their car collection always astonishes people. Antilia has an entire floor dedicated to luxury cars. But it's very rare to see any Ambani drive their own car; generally, the family members are seen sitting in the passenger seat, enjoying the comfort. Like father, like son, Akash Ambani loves luxury cars and doesn't hesitate to try his hands on them. Recently, he was seen behind the steering wheel, driving his new bulletproof Range Rover. His mother, Nita Ambani, was also spotted sitting in the front seat beside her elder son. Both the mother-son duo were seen leaving the cricket stadium after the IPL match of their team.
The video of the mother-son duo leaving a stadium in Mumbai after their team's match was shared on Instagram by Voompla. In the clip, Akash and his mother, Nita Ambani were seen sitting in their luxury white Range Rover and leaving the stadium with their Z+ security. Their convoy consisted of several layers of armed security along with police personnel.
The video also shows Nita Ambani's silver bulletproof BMW 7-Series, which can be seen parked on the side at the stadium. The white Range Rover with the VIP registration number '1' then made its entrance. For those who are unaware, the white Range Rover Vogue is Akash Ambani's latest ride. The vehicle is fully bulletproof. Watch The Video Here View this post on Instagram

In the viral clip, Akash can be seen sitting on the driver's side opening the door, following which Nita Ambani sat in the front seat beside her son, ditching her bulletproof BMW 7-Series.
Following a security detail including several luxury SUVs and MPVs, such as Range Rovers, Land Rover Discovery 4s, MG Glosters, Mercedes-Benz V-Class, Toyota Fortuners equipped with jammers, and Mercedes-Benz GL-Class SUVs, both individuals departed the stadium.
This is not the first time that Akash Ambani has been seen driving one of his cars. Last year, he was seen driving his ₹10 crore Ferrari Purosangue luxury SUV. This particular SUV is finished in the popular shade of Rosso Corsa, which we all know as 'The Ferrari Red.'
Notably, this is not the first time Mukesh Ambani's elder son, Akash Ambani was seen driving one of his cars. In 2024, he was spotted trying his hand on the Ferrari Purosangue luxury SUV, a Rosso Corsa (Ferrari red) model valued at approx Rs 10 crore.

Charles Leclerc hails Ferrari F1 boss Fred Vasseur's 'vision' after contract extended

BUDAPEST: Charles Leclerc hailed Fred Vasseur's 'vision' and cold-blooded approach after the Ferrari team principal was handed a new contract following speculation about his future. Ferrari said the deal for Vasseur announced on Thursday was a sign of 'trust in Fred's leadership,' with the Italian team yet to win a Formula 1 race in 2025. 'In Formula 1, it takes time to build something, especially a successful team,' Leclerc said, arguing that the situation had been complicated by the 'hype around the team' after Lewis Hamilton's arrival, and narrowly missing out on the constructors' championship last year. The driver from Monaco added that Vasseur stood out for his sense of humor and his 'cold blood' when Ferrari comes under pressure. 'I think what's very difficult within Ferrari is the emotion is very much part of the daily job," Leclerc said. "Fred really knows how to leave his emotions aside and have a clear vision of where we are at, no matter how much noise there is around the team.' Ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix, Ferrari said the new deal was a 'multiple-year contract,' without giving further details. Leclerc's teammate Hamilton gave Vasseur his backing last month after reports in the Italian media suggested his job could be in question. Ferrari last won a race in October and, while it's second in the constructors' championship, neither Hamilton nor Leclerc has consistently been able to challenge the leading McLaren drivers this year. 'Today we want to recognize what has been built and commit to what still needs to be achieved,' Ferrari chief executive Benedetto Vigna said in a statement.

Tata Group-owned Jaguar Land Rover's CEO Adrian Mardell to step down, successor to be announced soon

Jaguar Land Rover Chief Executive Officer Adrian Mardell is leaving the maker of luxury sport utility vehicles, as it grapples with higher US tariffs and a controversial makeover of the Jaguar brand. 'Adrian Mardell has expressed his desire to retire from JLR after three years as CEO and 35 years with the company,' a spokesperson said in a statement. 'His successor will be announced in due course.' The company, owned by India's Tata Motors Ltd., was among a number of carmakers to withhold profit guidance at the height of the US tariff uncertainty. JLR, which makes the Range Rover and Land Rover SUVs, does not have any US factories. A video last year teasing Jaguar's revamp as an electric-only brand received intense criticism. Jaguar isn't making any cars until the new lineup is ready. The CEO role has also recently changed hands at several other European carmakers, including Renault SA, Stellantis NV and Volvo Car AB. Jaguar Land Rover joined a growing list of carmakers holding back from providing profit guidance, as US President Donald Trump's higher tariffs continue to wreak havoc on the industry. The British maker of luxury sport utility vehicles 'continues to evaluate the impact of global challenges' and will provide an update at its investor day on June 16, it said in a statement accompanying its annual results. The company normally provides a profit outlook for its new financial year at this stage. Like other automakers, JLR, owned by India's Tata Motors Ltd., is grappling with the financial impact of Trump's tariff chaos. Earlier Tuesday, Nissan Motor Co. also decided against giving a projection, following similar moves by European car companies such as Mercedes-Benz Group AG and Stellantis NV. JLR, which does not have any US factories, had paused shipments to the country in April after Trump's first tariff announcements, before resuming exports this month. Despite the UK striking a deal last week with the US to allow 100,000 British vehicles to be imported into the country at a 10% duty, that's still higher than the 2.5% rate that existed before Trump's initial announcements. JLR's Defender model is made in Slovakia and still subject to the higher 25% import duty. JLR will look at ways to mitigate the impact of higher tariffs, Chief Executive Officer Adrian Mardell said on a call with reporters. Mardell declined to say whether price rises were among those measures. 'We'll wait and see, and reflect before we act,' he said. It remains unclear when the lower UK rate will come into effect, the CEO said. Higher tariffs will have some implication on demand, though premium cars are expected to weather higher levies better, Tata Motors' Chief Financial Officer PB Balaji said on a call. JLR, which accounts for around two-thirds of its Indian parent's sales, will look to other regions, including the UK and newer markets, to mitigate tariff impact. 'We are very clear we will do everything in our hands to drive growth,' Balaji said. JLR will need to keep a close eye on cash and costs, Balaji said. While JLR declined to provide guidance for this financial year, Tata Motors reported profit that beat expectations last quarter. Net income fell 51% — slightly less than expected — to 84.7 billion rupees ($992 million) in the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31. Revenue matched expectations at 1.2 trillion rupees. Tata Motors also announced a dividend of 6 rupees per share. Profit was boosted by higher volumes at JLR, with the British unit posting a 32% increase in pretax profit to £875 million ($1.2 billion). Still, JLR's revenue decreased 2.5% to £7.7 billion. Tata's passenger vehicle segment revenue fell 13% and its commercial vehicles sales declined 0.5%. JLR will also benefit from lower tariffs in India. In another landmark trade deal, the South Asian nation will lower duties on cars made in the UK, including hybrids and EVs, to as low as 10% from a prevailing tariff of up to 110% over a period of time. 2025 F1 Championship Battle A Two-Horse Race Between McLaren Duo, Admits Oscar Piastri

Last Updated: Oscar Piastri leads the F1 championship, with McLaren dominating the season. Piastri and Norris are the main contenders, while Max Verstappen trails by 81 points in third place. Formula One championship leader Oscar Piastri acknowledged on Thursday that the title battle has effectively become an all-McLaren affair between himself and teammate Lando Norris. The Australian leads Norris by 16 points heading into this weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix, the final race before the mid-season break in August. Meanwhile, defending world champion Max Verstappen—a four-time title winner with Red Bull—is a distant 81 points adrift in third, a gap that is increasingly viewed as unbridgeable given McLaren's current form. 'I Suppose So": Piastri Concedes It's a Two-Horse Race When asked by reporters in Budapest whether the championship was now a two-way contest between himself and Norris, Piastri replied, 'I suppose so." While both drivers and McLaren team officials had previously resisted making any bold declarations about the title picture, the evidence is now difficult to ignore. 'Every weekend now—or at least the last few weekends—it's been Lando and I," said Piastri. 'I expect our competition to still be strong and put up a good fight, especially at certain tracks through the rest of the year." Despite the growing gap, Piastri warned against ruling out other challengers just yet: 'Whether that comes from Max, or Ferrari, or Mercedes, or someone else, we never really know. I'm not too concerned about that. I'm just trying to win each race and extend the lead." McLaren Dominating the Field McLaren's dominance in the 2024 season has been staggering. The team has already secured six one-two finishes in 13 races, with Piastri claiming six victories and Norris four. Verstappen, in contrast, has won only twice this season. McLaren lead the Constructors' Championship with 516 points, holding a commanding 268-point advantage over second-placed Ferrari. The Hungaroring is expected to further play to McLaren's strengths. 'Hungary has been historically a good track for us as a team—certainly the two years I've been with them," said Piastri. 'I expect us to be strong again this weekend." The 23-year-old Australian claimed his maiden Formula One victory at the circuit last year, while Norris started from pole. view comments First Published: July 31, 2025, 23:31 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
