The iPhone 16 Pro is one of the most premium smartphones you can buy right now, but it usually comes with a hefty price tag. For most people, spending over a lakh on a phone isn't exactly easy. But what if there was a way to bring the price down? Well, Amazon is currently running a deal that lets you get the iPhone 16 Pro for as low as Rs 76,900. It does involve a bit of work — mainly trading in your current phone — but if you've been planning to upgrade anyway, this might be the right time to do break it down. The iPhone 16 Pro, which launched at Rs 1,19,900 for the base 128GB model, is now available for Rs 1,10,900 on Amazon — that's a direct discount of Rs 9,000 without needing any special offer or coupon. Now comes the interesting part. On top of this price cut, Amazon is also offering an exchange bonus of up to Rs 52,100. Of course, the final exchange value depends on your current phone's make, model, and example, if you're exchanging an iPhone 13 Pro in good shape, you can get around Rs 34,000 off, which brings the price down to just Rs 76,900. Even if you're trading in a high-end Android phone like the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, you could get approximately Rs 24,900 off, lowering the cost to Rs 86,000. That's still a significant saving on a device that's barely a few months old. To check how much you can get for your current phone, you just need to go to Amazon, choose the iPhone 16 Pro in your preferred colour, and enter your phone's details. If it qualifies, the exchange value gets applied instantly at checkout. While not everyone will get the maximum exchange rate, many users should still be able to shave off a big chunk of the for the iPhone 16 Pro itself, it's a serious powerhouse. It comes with a 6.3-inch OLED display with 120Hz ProMotion and incredibly slim bezels. There's support for Apple Intelligence features and better thermal performance, thanks to a more efficient GPU that Apple says is 20 per cent faster than the previous A17 upgrades are also worth noting. The primary 48-megapixel sensor has improved tech for faster image processing, while the ultra-wide camera now has autofocus. If you've been holding off on an upgrade, this might be a smart time to make the switch.- Ends

Trinamool On Streets To Protect Infiltrators: PM's Attack On Mamata Banerjee
Durgapur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday tore into the Trinamool Congress, accusing it of risking Bengal's identity and national security by promoting infiltration for vote-bank politics, and asserted that only the BJP genuinely stands for Bengali 'asmita' (identity) and the pride of Bengalis. In a fiery address at a packed rally in Durgapur, PM Modi called for an end to what he termed a regime of "lies, lawlessness and loot." "The Trinamool Congress (TMC), because of its vested interests, has put the identity of West Bengal at stake. For the sake of vote-bank politics, infiltration is being encouraged here. A complete ecosystem has been created to support infiltrators. This is a threat to both national security and Bengal's security and identity," PM Modi said, accusing the ruling party of "openly challenging constitutional institutions" and "defending illegal immigrants." Amid a growing political row over alleged harassment of Bengali-speaking migrant workers in BJP-ruled states, PM Modi turned the tables on the TMC, declaring, "The real threat to Bengal's dignity and future comes not from outside but from within, from a state government that thrives on lies, lawlessness, and loot." "For the BJP, Bengali 'asmita' is supreme. Wherever there is a BJP government, Bengalis are respected, Bengali language is respected," the Prime Minister said. "We will not allow this conspiracy against Bengali 'asmita' to succeed. The BJP is the only party that truly respects it," he said. Lashing out at the Mamata Banerjee-led government, PM Modi said the TMC's appeasement politics has "crossed all limits." "They are now on the streets to protect infiltrators. TMC's corruption and appeasement are pushing the youth out of Bengal," he added. PM Modi also accused the TMC, Left and Congress of neglecting Bengali pride for decades. "For years, the TMC and Left ran the government in Delhi with Congress but never considered recognising Bangla, whereas it was the BJP government that granted it classical language status," he asserted. The Prime Minister positioned the BJP as the harbinger of a new Bengal, promising a clean break from the past. "The BJP has big dreams for West Bengal. We want to build a prosperous, developed Bengal. All the projects being launched here are a step towards that dream," he said. Highlighting the state's reversal in fortunes, the Prime Minister recalled a time when Bengal attracted job-seekers from across the country. "People used to come here from across India for employment. But today, the youth of Bengal are forced to migrate even for small jobs. This is the result of TMC's misrule," he said. 'Gunda Tax' In a stinging critique of Bengal's economic environment under the TMC, PM Modi said the state has become inhospitable for industry and investors. "TMC's 'Gunda Tax' is deterring investment in Bengal. The state's resources have fallen into the hands of the mafia, and government policies are deliberately designed to enable ministers to engage in blatant corruption," he said. "Over the past decades, the situation in this region has become increasingly unfavourable for investment and employment. Frequent incidents of violence, biased policing, and a lack of faith in the justice system create an environment where no one feels confident about investing. Where riots like Murshidabad take place and police act in a biased manner, why will investors come here? Where violence breaks out at the slightest incident, why will anyone invest?" he asked. On the teacher recruitment scam that has left nearly 26,000 teachers and non-teaching staff jobless in the state, the PM pulled no punches. "Whether it's primary or higher education, the TMC government has handed Bengal's education system to crime and corruption. Thousands of qualified teachers are unemployed, and the future of lakhs of children is in darkness due to a shortage of teachers. This is not a coincidence, but the outcome of TMC's corrupt system," he said.

Fake Call Centre Scammed Foreigners, Busted. Assets Attached By Enforcement Directorate
New Delhi: The Patna zonal office of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has provisionally attached movable and immovable properties worth approximately Rs 2.83 crore under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002. The attachment is linked to a transnational cyber fraud racket involving fake call centres operated by Sagar Yadav and his Kolkata-based companies - Scrapix Consultancy Services Pvt Ltd and Casanovus Reality Pvt Ltd. The attached assets include land parcels, flats, and fixed deposits, acquired using proceeds of crime generated through cyber fraud targeting foreign nationals. The investigation was initiated following a tip-off received by the ED from the National Central Bureau (NCB)-India (CBI), which had been alerted by NCB-Ireland. The case involved fraud committed on an Irish national, Carmel Fox, and was registered under the "cross-border Implication" category as per Section 2(1)(ra) of the PMLA. The ED's probe revealed that the accused had been running fake call centres to defraud international victims. The illicit funds were funneled into India through channels like Western Union, Moneygram, Rewire, Remitly, and even cryptocurrencies. These funds were then laundered through peer-to-peer lending platforms including Lenden Club, Lendbox, and Liquiloans. Two immovable properties bought in the names of Scrapix Consultancy and Casanovus Reality worth Rs 2.67 crore, along with fixed deposits of Rs 15.75 lakh have been placed under provisional attachment. So far, the ED has arrested seven individuals including mastermind Sagar Yadav and has filed one prosecution complaint and two supplementary complaints against him, his companies, and associates. Further investigation is ongoing.
