Bizarre crash as SUV lands on bed
Police are on the hunt for the driver of a luxury SUV who crashed through the wall of a Sydney home, landing on a bed.
The driver reportedly fled the scene of the crash in Macquarie Fields, with the search now on.
NSW Police confirmed that emergency services were called to the scene at about 4:20am on Sunday, finding a white Porsche Macan lodged in the Evelyn Street home.
The car had reportedly hit an electricity transformer before it hurtled through a front fence and then the front wall of a single-storey house.
The SUV careened into the bedroom, before it finally came to a rest on top of a bed.
Two people are reported to have fled the scene before police arrived, while it has been confirmed that no one was in the home at the time of the crash.
There are no reports of injuries, and an investigation is underway to identify the driver and cause of crash.

An 18-year-old has been left with 'severe injuries' after a crash in Eltham. The Metropolitan Police were called just before 4.45pm on Friday (June 27) to report of a crash between a car and an e-bike on Bexley Road at the junction with Alderwood Road. Floral tributes left at scene of tree fall tragedy in Chalkwell Park
Floral tributes have been placed in Chalkwell Park after a child died when a tree fell. Police remain at the scene today as they continue to investigate the incident alongside forensic specialists. Shortly before 3pm on Saturday, June 28, it was reported a tree had partially collapsed in Chalkwell Park. A number of children were caught beneath the tree and suffered injuries. The park was busy with members of the public and many immediately went to their aid.
