She is from Vizag and I love Vizag. Our roots are similar though we are not from the same cities and so, culturally, there was a lot of connect. And we love travelling as well."Professionally, Naga Chaitanya was last seen in Thandel, co-starring Sai Pallavi. During the trailer launch in Vizag, he shared a heartfelt moment about his wife's roots, stating, 'Vizag is so close to my heart that I fell in love with a Vizag girl and married her. Now, there's a piece of Vizag in my home too. Even in my household, the ruling party is Vizag. So, brothers, I have a small request—Thandel should rock Vizag's box office; otherwise, I'll lose my honour at home. Please!"Meanwhile, Samantha Ruth Prabhu is preparing for her upcoming role in Raj & DK's Netflix web series Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom, continuing her successful journey in the entertainment industry.

Amaal Mallik clarifies he did not speak against any religion as he shared girlfriend broke-up with him because he's a Muslim: ‘It's a secular mindset'
Amaal Mallik recently revealed that he was in a relationship with a girl for many years but they broke up because her family had an issue with his religion and his music career both. He had said, 'I was in a relationship for around five years. she called me and told me she was getting married. She said, 'If you come now, I'll elope with you.' But I told her, 'If your parents can't accept my religion and respect my career, then I wish you the best.'" He had further said in this interview with Siddharth Kannan, 'People think I'm a Muslim, but my father (Daboo Malik) is a Muslim and my mother is a Saraswat Brahmin Hindu." He revealed that his girlfriend was a Jaat and their break-up was a harsh time for him. He had also said, 'There's no 'I' of Islam in me. I don't follow the religion to the T. Is Metro In Dino a hit or flop? As Anurag Basu's musical crosses ₹50 crore, we decode its box office performance
Metro In Dino, Anurag Basu's spiritual successor to Life in a Metro, is running in theatres right now. After its second weekend, the ensemble film has crossed ₹50 crore at the box office worldwide. In the days of ₹500-crore blockbusters, the number may seem small, but it is actually impressive. All one needs to do is understand the scale of Metro In Dino. Metro In Dino stars Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal and Neena Gupta. (PTI Photo)(PTI) Metro In Dino box office collection As of Monday (July 14), Metro In Dino has earned ₹38.50 crore net in India. Its collections over the second weekend are impressive, with a 98% jump on Saturday and a clear hold on Sunday. Despite newer releases taking a lot of Metro's screens over the weekend, the film held its own, registering a healthy 44% occupancy on its second Sunday. Metro In Dino has earned over $600k overseas, taking its worldwide collection to ₹51.50 crore in ten days. Trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh said, 'Despite the odds, the film has shown consistency through the weekdays and is headed for a promising second weekend. The footfalls are steady, and that says a lot. What's working is the relatability. Anurag Basu's storytelling has struck a chord. It's one of those rare films where audiences see their own stories unfold on screen.' Metro In Dino budget and landing cost Prior to Metro In Dino's release, several reports had claimed that the film had been made on a budget of ₹85 crore. Speaking with Hindustan Times, Ali Fazal, one of the film's stars, addressed the reports and called the number 'obnoxious' and untrue. A source close to the project told HT exclusively, 'Contrary to what many might assume, Metro In Dino was made on a fairly modest scale with ₹40 crore for production and ₹7 crore for print and advertising. It's a film that relied not on size, but on sincerity and substance.' This means that Metro has already crossed its landing cost with its gross collection. Given the film earned ₹4.65 crore on Sunday, it is likely to make a few crores more and cross the landing cost in net collection as well. Is Metro In Dino a hit or a flop? Metro In Dino is on course to be a box office success. As soon as its net collection crosses its budget (which should happen by next weekend), the film will be a hit. It has already recovered its investments in T-Series through the sale of music, digital, and satellite rights, but box office success will also come its way. Talking about the film's box office performance, Kamal Gianchandani, Chief Business Planning & Strategy at PVR INOX Limited, said, 'Metro In Dino has shown remarkable consistency at the box office. In a competitive landscape, it's encouraging to see audiences returning to cinemas for a film that's driven purely by strong storytelling and emotional depth. The growing happy footfalls at the theatres have increased the business at the box office, and underline the demand for such well-crafted content. Metro In Dino is touted to be one of the successful movies of the year 2025. Bhushan Kumar and Anurag Basu have brought together a film that speaks to the urban audience in a relatable, heartfelt way.' All about Metro In Dino Directed by Anurag Basu and produced by Bhushan Kumar under the T-Series banner, Metro In Dino is a musical containing four interconnected modern-day love stories set in different metropolitan cities. The film stars Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal and Neena Gupta.

After truce with CBFC following intense legal battle, rechristened Janaki V v/s State of Kerala gets new release date
After weeks of uncertainty as the film became embroiled in controversy over its title and the name of its central character, the Malayalam legal drama Janaki V v/s State of Kerala (formerly titled Janaki v/s State of Kerala and also marketed as JSK) is finally set to hit screens, with a new release date almost a month later than initially announced. This update came after the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) granted JSK a U/A 16+ rating (unrestricted public exhibition, but with parental guidance for children below the age of 16). While the film was initially scheduled for release on June 20, it was first postponed by a week to June 27. However, even as the new date approached, the CBFC did not grant clearance to the movie, demanding that the makers remove the name Janaki — also the name of the Hindu Goddess Sita — from the title and the dialogues. The matter eventually reached the Kerala High Court. Only in SCREEN | Janaki v/s State of Kerala: Janaki is everywhere. But only CBFC sees a problem Following an intense legal battle in which the High Court strongly criticised the CBFC, the censor board informed the court it was ready to issue a certificate if the producers agreed to change the title from Janaki to V Janaki. In a desperate attempt to release the film, the makers agreed, slightly rechristening it as Janaki V v/s State of Kerala. In addition to the title change, it was agreed that the name Janaki would be muted in two instances in the film. Notably, after the court's intervention, the CBFC climbed down from its original demands and reduced the required changes to two, down from the staggering 96 it had initially insisted on, prompting the producers to meet the board halfway. After the necessary edits were made, the film was resubmitted for certification, following which the CBFC issued the U/A 16+ rating. Post the clearance, the makers announced that JSK will release worldwide on July 17. Starring Suresh Gopi, who also serves as the Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas and is the BJP MP from the Thrissur constituency in Kerala, alongside Anupama Parameswaran, Divya Pillai, Shruti Ramachandran, Askar Ali, Madhav Suresh Gopi and Baiju Santhosh in key roles, JSK is written and directed by Pravin Narayanan.
