Former Ravens linebacker C.J. Mosley is retiring after 11 seasons
Former Alabama Crimson Tide linebacker and 2014 first-round pick C.J. Mosley is retiring from the NFL after 11 seasons. Mosley made the announcement Thursday morning via his Instagram page.
Mosley had been a free agent after the Jets released him at the start of the league year, March 12.
Mosley signed a five-year, $85 million contract with the Jets in 2019 after five exceptional seasons in Baltimore that saw the former Alabama star linebacker earn three straight Pro Bowl nods.
Mosley, who missed 13 games last season due to toe and neck injuries, was the 17th overall pick by the Ravens in the 2014 draft and retires with over 1,000+ career tackles, 12 sacks, 12 interceptions, 10 forced fumbles, nine fumble recoveries, and three touchdowns.
