New Balance proudly announces the start of Grey Days 2025 – the month-long celebration of its signature colour. For years, Grey Days has been a homage to everything New Balance represents, bringing together the brand's family of ambassadors and athletes for a range of special-edition products, events, and stories.
Originally introduced in the 1980s to build a superior urban running shoe, the colour Grey continues to embody New Balance's dedication to craft, quality and fearless independence in every field. While vivid colours and bright whites became the order of the day for athletic wear, New Balance's Grey stood out amongst its competitors – all while proving to be a perfect complement to the concrete and asphalt backdrop of road running.
Grey Days 2025 is an expression of Grey as a limitless possibility. The classic New Balance shade is applied in various forms across twenty-one footwear and eleven apparel styles, ranging from all-time classics to modern favourites. The reissue of the 1300JP, the legendary style released once every five years, brings extra excitement to this year's celebration. The 1300JP stands out as one of New Balance's most sought-after styles, for its rarity, impeccable craftsmanship and unique place in global sneaker culture.

The symbolism of Grey has remained central to the brand for decades, and Grey Days 2025 showcases its diverse appeal,' said Brian Lynn, Global Vice President of Lifestyle. Grey Days 2025 highlights several key launches throughout May. The launches include:
May 1: The Grey Shop launches in New Balance stores and on the New Balance website and will include new and existing Grey styles from the brand's lifestyle, performance, and kids ranges, including the 740, 9060, 1000, T500, Fresh Foam X 1080v14, and more, in addition to a selection of timeless Grey apparel.
May 14: The 1906 Loafer launches in Malaysia. A reenvisioned classic penny loafer, this juxtaposition of sneakers and formal wear has been in high demand since launching late last year.
May 22: The ABZORB 2010 and 471 launch. The latest model launches from New Balance. Both are inspired by the brand's running heritage, ABZORB 2010 being a progressive take on 2000s-era running and 471 being the consumer's new go-to reimagined from '70s running silhouettes.
May 29: The 1300JP launches. Released just once every five years, New Balance's 1300JP has become one of the sneaker world's most sought-after styles.
As part of the Grey Days 2025 celebration in Malaysia, New Balance Malaysia launched two key experiences – the dedicated Pop-up at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and the in-store experience at New Balance Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. The Pop-up is open from 9th to 18th May 2025, while the in-store experience is available from 9th May until 2nd June 2025. Customers can check out the latest Grey Day collection, join a hands-on workshop, and get a limited edition tote with a minimum purchase.

If you want to know what walking on clouds feels like – while looking like a cloud-hopping deity – then these new drops from New Balance and On have gotchu. Cloud x FKA Shoe To create an enthralling tribute to mixed-movement mediums and the beauty of defying conventional shoe designs, FKA Twigs initially collaborated with On on the captivating 'The Body Is Art' campaign. The pair are now building on that idea by examining freedom of movement and launching their first-ever full-length collection that includes both clothing and shoes. The collection's pieces and the Jordan Hemingway-shot campaign are enhanced by additional surreal moving images by Zeel Free. Both highlight fluidity and versatility, drawing heavily from Twigs' versatility as an artist and performer. The Cloud x FKA shoe was inspired by dancing. The sleek, light trainer, which is made of woven material with a satin feel, embodies a dance-inspired design.
