Sarah Jessica Parker: Women don't flat line at 50 or 60
Sarah Jessica Parker wants to remind fans that women 'don't flat line at 50 or 60.'
The 59-year-old actress – who shot to fame as Carrie Bradshaw in 'Sex and The City' in the late 90s – serves as a producer on the spin-off series 'And Just Like That…', which returns for a third season this week, and Sarah is delivering an inspiring message through the TV show.
She said: 'It is insane that there aren't more shows like us, you know? I'm hoping that there will be.'
'We're showing really cool, interesting lives. They're aging, they're influencing each other, they're navigating things. They're just living. They're very much alive, they're very much living their lives, they're leaving jobs, they're leaving those roles to get into amazing new things.'
Kristin Davis, who plays Charlotte, added: 'I think it's something we talk about all the time and it should be.'
'It's very interesting that somehow, especially at certain ages, you're supposed to just vanish. I don't know where you're supposed to go and that just makes no sense.'
Cynthia Nixon recently confessed that she hates to be 'out of sync' with Sarah.

Miley Cyrus fires back after claims she was ‘rude and dismissive' to her fans
Bang Showbiz | Los Angeles Miley Cyrus appears to have fired back after claims of being 'dismissive' towards fans. The 32-year-old pop star joined supermodel Naomi Campbell for a special vinyl album signing event for her new record Something Beautiful - which features Naomi on the track Every Girl You've Ever Loved - in London over the weekend. A video from the event at record store Rough Trade East shows the two stars chatting amongst themselves behind a table. In the footage, fans can be seen approaching the table from the other side and awkwardly posing for a photo as Miley briefly glances up, smiles and then continues her conversation as they sign the LPs. A fan on Reddit branded Miley 'so inconsiderate and dismissive', while others called her 'rude'. On Tuesday, the Flowers hitmaker seemed to address the backlash as she shared a professional photo of herself and Naomi at the event, as well as several videos of them smiling and interacting with fans. She wrote on Instagram: 'Our vinyl was originally set to drop a week later, but since we were both in London @ roughtradeeast made it happen day of. 'I wanted to gift my Smilers an exclusive experience and unreleased vinyl to thank you for the love you've shown me in the UK over the years. I saw so many familiar faces and met some sweet new ones. 'The record store requested no photos due to the unexpected last minute turn out but we knew the night needed to be captured. 'Thank you @vijatm for snapping those in the moment shots. To everyone who came out to celebrate our single, we love you.' Miley recently hit out at the criticism she received earlier in her career when she shunned her Disney Channel persona for a more raunchy image. Asked what she sees when she looks back at her image from 2013, she told the New York Times newspaper: 'I see adults not acting like it. I would never look at someone that's 18, 19, 20, 21 years old and judge them as an adult, because they're not yet. 'At one point, there was even a petition. It was like 'Millions of Moms Against Miley' or something. 'Isn't that crazy, this petition? In 2013, maybe that performance felt really shocking, but when you watch it back, it really wasn't that wild. I was dressed as a teddy bear.'

Rebel Wilson ‘went into beast mode for Bride Hard'
Bang Showbiz | Los Angeles Rebel Wilson went into 'beast mode' in preparation for Bride Hard. The 45-year-old actress has revealed that she embarked on an intense fitness plan in preparation for the new action-comedy film. Rebel - who previously starred in Bridesmaids and the Pitch Perfect film franchise - told People: 'I often put my body on the line for physical comedy.' The actress pushed herself to her physical limits in preparation for the new movie. However, Rebel actually enjoyed the challenge of getting herself in tip-top shape for Bride Hard. She said: 'I was pretty strong during this movie. I trained for a full five weeks and did conditioning for it, and then I had to be really kind of in beast mode, but I really enjoyed it, getting paid to almost be fit, which is really good.' Rebel uses curling irons like nunchucks in the new movie, and she admits to taking inspiration from movie icon Jackie Chan. She shared: 'When I lived in South Africa, basically to pass the time I would watch Jackie Chan videos and his comic timing, and I just loved all the movies. Even if they weren't subtitled and I couldn't even understand the dialogue, I just loved all his comedy-action scenes. 'They were so good. So I guess that's why I originally picked up nunchucks, to try to be a bit like Jackie Chan.' Meanwhile, Rebel recently revealed that she was almost 'permanently disfigured' while filming Bride Hard. The Hollywood star - who portrays a secret agent named Sam in the upcoming movie - was smacked in the face by a gun during her final night of filming, leaving her surrounded by a 'pool of blood'. Rebel told Access Hollywood: 'In a fight scene, a gun accidentally got whacked across my face. 'It was just a freak accident, and my nose got split open, so I left set. It was my last night of shooting. I was like, 'How unlucky can I be?'

Sarah Jessica Parker has struggled with ‘mean' comments about her appearance
Bang Showbiz | Los Angeles Sarah Jessica Parker struggled to cope with 'mean' comments about her appearance. The 60-year-old actress noticed a shift in how people spoke about her after she landed the role of Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City back in, and she admitted the sudden attention was 'a real test of my coping mechanisms'. Asked what she struggled with most, she told the Call Her Daddy podcast: 'Just discussions of my physical person. 'Like stuff that I couldn't change, and wouldn't change, and had never considered changing, or even still after hearing something that was like, 'What? Somebody would say that?' 'Even still… no interest in changing it.' The actress, who has reprised the role of Carrie in spin-off series And Just Like That star, noted that the initial backlash was tough in a time before social media without a chance to response. She added: 'I didn't feel like I could sit in a room, and someone would say to me, 'You're really unattractive.' 'And then I could say, 'Wow, um, well first of all, that's hard to hear. But second of all, why do you seem angry about it?' 'Or, 'Why do you feel it's necessary to say it?' ' Sarah recalled ringing her friends in tears after one unnamed magazine made a 'really meal' comment about her appearance. She said: 'It was like a kick in the rubber parts. 'I was just like, 'Why is this a problem? Why is this deserving of your time? And why do you seem to delight in saying it?' 'I was sobbing because it felt so purposeful. And I think that's the only time I really cried about it.' Meanwhile, Jessica has opened up about the double stand in the way people judge female characters like Carrie.
