The first-ever beach night swimming spot just opened in Abu Dhabi

If sunset usually signals the end of your beach day, think again.
This summer, Marsana East Beach on Hudayriyat Island is flipping the script, officially becoming Abu Dhabi city's first-ever night swimming spot.
From now until the end of September, locals and tourists alike can cool off with an after-dark dip under floodlights, all while lounging on plush sunbeds and soaking up the late-night vibes.
With lifeguards on duty and the island's signature chill-meets-luxe vibe, Marsana East Beach is shaping up to be your new go-to after-hours hangout.
The beach has long been a daytime favourite for its sweeping waterfront views and premium perks. Now, night swimming adds a whole new twist to the experience.
Think safe, well-lit waters, complimentary towels and beach coolers stocked with fresh water. You can order food and drinks from any of the nearby restaurants with a simple QR scan and have your meal delivered right to your lounger to satisfy any late-night cravings.
Beyond the beach itself, the experience will have exclusive family-friendly activities, themed dining deals and cool discounts. And with eight restaurants and cafés offering everything from gourmet grilled cheese to creamy gelato and Italian fare, there's no shortage of ways to treat yourself post-swim.
So, when can you go? The night swimming runs from sunset to 10pm Monday through Thursday and until midnight on weekends. Entry starts at Dhs50 for adults on weekdays (Dhs100 on weekends) and Dhs25 for kids aged 6-11 (it's free for little ones under six).
And the perks don't stop at the shoreline. Spend Dhs200 or more at participating outlets and you'll get 50 percent off your beach access. You'll also unlock half-price tickets to the neighbouring Splash Park at Circuit X – so there's plenty to keep the kids entertained while you work on your moonlight tan.
Marsana's hot summer dining deals include:
10 percent off at Breath by the Beach
15 percent off à la carte at Nonna Stella Osteria
Dhs39 specials at Muncheeze Grilled Cheese
10 percent off at Oro
15 percent off select treats at Cold Stone Creamery
10 percent off café items at Leen Outlet Market
A complimentary drink at Marmoura with every Dhs100 spent
10 percent off at Kurepu
Big vibes.

This summer, take your tastebuds on a world tour at Yas Plaza Hotels - What's On

This summer, skip the airport queues and let your palate do the travelling at Yas Plaza Hotels, where the Taste of Summer is dishing up vibrant, authentic cuisine across three standout venues. The twist? Each restaurant's menu is passionately crafted and presented by teams who hail from the very countries they represent — making this less of a theme and more of a true culinary journey. At Filini Garden, Radisson Blu Yas Island Amerigos, Italian chef Marco Gattone and outlet manager Giulia Santoni bring a dose of la dolce vita to Yas Island. Their All' Italiana menu features comforting, coastal-inspired classics like Friselle di Scamorza Affumicata, Lasagne con Ragu di Manzo, and perfectly seared Controfiletto di Manzo. It's as close to a Roman summer evening as you'll get in the UAE. Over at Amerigos, Park Inn Yas Island, the fiesta is in full swing. Chef Mario Bortoni and outlet manager Andres Plata serve up bold Mexican flavours in a fun, laid-back setting. Think tostadas, vibrant ensaladas, and smoky costillas de res — best enjoyed with a margarita in hand and mariachi vibes in the air. Don't miss the colourful El Brunch every Saturday. And for a royal North Indian feast, Rangoli, Yas Island Rotana is where Chef Sadab Qureshi delivers the Awadhi Edition of Rangoli Travel Diaries — an homage to age-old recipes like Galouti Kebab, Murgh Ke Passade, and Nali Nihari, presented with rich spices and tradition.
