The Brazilian was dropped with an elbow and finished on the floor.
But the elbow landed on the same area as her previously broken orbital and will now require a titanium plate.
Ribas, 31, posted on Instagram: "It wasn't the result I wanted, but I know it's what I love!
"It's where I love to be, it's where it makes my eyes shine, and I get paid very well for it.
"Thank you to God for the opportunity to work with what I love and to @ufc.
"I'm going to have surgery soon, on top of the one I already had on my facial bone.
"God continues to be wonderful to me and is in control. Prayers."
Ribas was not the only one to suffer a horror eye injury on the Abu Dhabi card.

Mohammad Yahya was left with gruesome swelling to his left eye - with fears he could lose his vision permanently.
Yahya was beaten by Steven Nguyen in a featherweight bout that broke the UFC record for most knockdowns in a fight with six.
A health update was revealed after the bout on the UFC broadcast - with Yahya not suffering any facial fractures.
He also was cleared of any more lasting damage as CT scans came back clear in the immediate aftermath of the bout.

Mixed martial arts fighter Conor McGregor on Thursday lost his legal appeal against a civil court's finding that he sexually assaulted a woman at a Dublin hotel. The 37-year-old fighter, once the face of the Ultimate Fighting Championship but now past his prime in the ring, has become known for anti-immigration statements and criticism of Irish politicians. He has flirted with the idea of running for president of Ireland. U.S. President Donald Trump, a UFC fan, invited McGregor to the White House to mark St. Patrick's Day in March. McGregor also faces a lawsuit in Florida for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman in the bathroom of the Kaseya Center, home arena of the Miami Heat, during a 2023 NBA finals game with the Denver Nuggets.

Lucas Paqueta cleared of betting charges as West Ham player and FA release statements
Lucas Paqueta has been cleared of misconduct charges related to alleged breaches of the Football Association's betting rules. The Brazilian was charged with four alleged breaches in May 2024, relating to FA Rule E5.1 and concerning matches involving West Ham. It was alleged that Paqueta attempted to receive a red card in order to influence matches with the improper purpose of impacting the betting market, with one or more persons able to profit from betting on the game. Paqueta denied the charges and his name has been cleared after an independent regulatory commission found the charges not proven. 'The club has stood by Lucas since the very start of a long and difficult process,' said West Ham in a statement. While Paqueta added: 'Since the first day of this investigation, I have maintained my innocence against these extremely serious accusations. I can't say anything more at this time, but I would like to express how grateful I am to God and how eager I am to return to playing football with a smile on my face. 'To my wife who never let go of my hand, to West Ham United, to the fans who always cheered me on, and to my family, friends and the legal team who have supported me – thank you for everything.' The FA said two charges against Paqueta concerned his failure to co-operate with the investigation, with the governing stating that these charges have been proven. A commission will now decide the appropriate sanction for Paqueta relating to those two breaches "at the earliest opportunity". West Ham United Vice-Chair Karren Brady said: 'We are pleased Lucas has been cleared. He has maintained his innocence from the outset, and as a Club we have resolutely stood by him and supported him throughout the process. Tom Brady has come under fire from one of his NFL peers for his apparent swipe at ex-wife Gisele Bundchen. Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl winner who played 23 seasons in the NFL, appeared to take a dig at the Brazilian supermodel when he made a pointed remark about providing for his family in his newsletter. The NFL legend, 47, who split from Bundchen in October 2022 after 13 years of marriage, said that he viewed his career as a central part of being a good father to his three children. Brady's take on providing for his family came after Bundchen repeatedly alluded to her unhappiness at how much he focused on his sporting career at the cost of his family, with his unretirement said to be the tipping point. And Mitchell Schwartz , a former offensive lineman for the Kansas City Chiefs, appeared to side with the Victoria's Secret model. Schwartz, who won a Super Bowl with the Chiefs in 2020, hit out at Brady for continuing to play well into his 40s, despite having already amassed a fortune.
