Rare glimpse inside Jennifer Aniston's home life
Taking to Instagram, the 'Friends' star posted a series of photos taken in her two California properties.
The 56-year-old actress shared several shots of herself spending time with her celebrity pals, while wishing her 44.5 million followers a 'happy Monday', Realtor reports.
Among the A-listers featured in the images were Aniston's close friend — and former co-star — Courteney Cox, as well as 'Will & Grace' actor Sean Hayes.
The Golden Globe winner also posted a snap of her dog, Lord Chesterfield.
In the photo, the star lounged on an outdoor couch with her pup, whom she rescued in October 2020.
Aniston is currently the proud owner of two California dwellings: a midcentury modern property in Bel-Air, which she purchased for $US20.1 million ($A30.5 million) in 2012.
The other is a Mediterranean-style farmhouse in Montecito, which she bought from fellow A-lister Oprah Winfrey for $US10.5 million ($A15.9 million) in 2021.
Images obtained by Realtor in March revealed that 'The Switch' actress was carrying out extensive renovations on her farmhouse property.
Photos showed that the dwelling had undergone a stunning overhaul, which included the addition of a new pool area.
Those images revealed that construction was very near completion, suggesting that Aniston might have since moved into the dwelling.
Although, she has not yet revealed whether she plans to use the Montecito abode as a full-time residence or a weekend getaway.
It appears that at least one of the photos featured in Aniston's Instagram post might have been taken at her newly renovated dwelling.
The image shows the actress' pet dog Clyde lounging in the entryway to a property, which features the same heavy-set wooden door as Aniston's Montecito property.
The pup can be seen lying next to a hedgehog toy behind a welcome mat that reads: 'The babe cave.'
Aniston also reminded fans of her close bond with Cox in the images, with one snap showing the longtime friends hugging while donning matching loungewear and standing together in what appears to be a kitchen.
Other photos saw Aniston posing along with producer Kristin Hahn in front of her cozy fireplace, and hanging out with her friend Andrea Bendewald in a beautifully decorated living room.
Meanwhile, Aniston's candid selfie with close friend Hayes appears to have been taken during an evening on the town — and saw a third person carefully blurred out by the actress to protect the anonymous pal's privacy.
Lastly, Aniston showed a picture of the gorgeous sunset over the water.
The candid into her personal life comes nearly two months after an elderly man was arrested after intentionally crashing through the gates of Aniston's Bel-Air property while she was home.
Police were called to the star's Los Angeles home around 12pm on May 5 for a possible burglary, according to local news channel KTLA.
The 'Horrible Bosses' actress was at home at the time of the shocking incident, and the intruder has been identified only as a white male in his 70s, TMZ reports.
The Los Angeles Police Department revealed that a security guard on-site held down the elderly man until they arrived.
TMZ reported that Aniston's security team rushed over to the driver and restrained him at gunpoint immediately following the incident.
Upon arrival, police officers took the man, who has a minor criminal history, into custody without any issues.
According to ABC News, the incident was not an accident. However, it doesn't appear that Aniston was targeted.
The LAPD's Threat Management Unit has taken over the case to err on the side of caution.
According to KTLA, the retractable arm on Aniston's gate was broken off as a result of the crash.
Following the incident, the LAPD revealed that 'there was a victim who was home at the time, who was not injured.'
Aniston has been very discreet about her personal residence, a 10,186-square-foot, midcentury modern mansion on a 3.27-acre lot in L.A.'s Bel-Air neighbourhood.
The prestigious estate, built in 1968 and designed by architect A. Quincy Jones, is hidden behind tall hedges and high gates, ensuring maximum privacy for Aniston, who used the home as the location for her 2015 wedding to Justin Theroux.
The couple divorced in 2018. Realtor.com records indicate she paid $US20,970,000 ($A31,875,000) for the marvellous manse and estimates it's now worth anywhere from about $US18 million ($A27.3 million) to $27 million ($A41 million).

Aussie divorce settlements don't come close to the global record $US38bn ($55bn) that Amazon founder Jeff Bezos had to pay his ex, MacKenzie Scott, in 2019, including two Beverley Hills mansions — not surprisingly, the pre-nup signed by his latest bride, Lauren Sanchez, specifies a lump sum with no access to Amazon shares. But readers still crave every detail, from commentary pieces about who's to blame through to paparazzi shots of each 'without wedding rings' and potential new flames. Also of interest is the carve-up of their often huge property portfolios. Here are 10 Aussie bust-ups of the rich and famous: 1. Karl Stefanovic and Cassandra Thorburn Channel 9's Today show host Karl Stefanovic split with his wife of 21 years, Cassandra Thorburn, in 2016 and his $6m divorce settled 10 months later. His ex got their $8m Cremorne waterfront, which she sold in 2019 for more than $9m, and she receives a payment of $35,000 a month. They have three children together. Stefanovic married designer Jasmine Yarbrough in a lavish ceremony in Mexico in 2018, and they live in Castlecrag in a home bought for $3.2m in 2021 that they renovated for $4.5m. 7. Mike Cannon-Brooks and Annie Cannon-Brookes Billionaire Atlassian co-founder Mike Cannon Brookes married his fashion designer wife Annie Todd in 2010, having met at the Sydney airport Qantas lounge three years earlier. He was flying to San Francisco and she was on her way home to Michigan. 'She thought I was someone else,' he said at a talk in 2017. 'More than a decade later, I'm incredibly happy that she is now my wife and we have four amazing children together.' Paul Hogan and Noelene Edwards and Linda Kozlowski Actor and comedian Paul Hogan was only 19 when he met his first wife, Noelene Edwards, in 1958 at a Sydney swimming pool where he was a lifeguard. They soon married and had five kids. They got divorced in 1981, only to remarry a year later. But then he was bedazzled by his Crocodile Dundee co-star Linda Kozlowski — the star reportedly didn't speak to Edwards for 17 years after their second divorce. Hoges married Kozlowski, 20 years his junior, in 1990 and they had a son, Chance. But there was no second chance for their marriage, with the couple divorcing in 2014 after 23 years of marriage. She received a lump sum of $6.25m and was able to live in their Venice Beach home until 2018. Now she reportedly owns several of her own properties there. 9. Alan Bond and Eileen Bond Last week's death of Eileen Bond, affectionately known as 'Red', brought to mind her 1992 divorce from controversial businessman Alan Bond after 37 years of marriage and four children. The terms were never made public. He went bankrupt in 1992 with debts totalling $1.8bn, but a report in 1993 described the Bond family as 'seriously rich', with gross assets of $24m in residential property, $15m in rural and commercial property, $20m in business assets and $21m in personal assets. Much of this was hidden in a network of trusts and trustee companies, and Eileen Bond sold one of their properties, a mansion in Perth's Peppermint Grove, in 1995. In August 2020, it reportedly sold for $27.5m. Alan Bond died in 2015. 10. Mel Gibson and Robyn Moore The New York-born but Aussie-raised actor Mel Gibson is famous for his roles in Mad Max and Lethal Weapon, but perhaps also for losing $617m — half of his estimated $1.2bn fortune — in his divorce from his wife of 31 years, Robyn Moore. It was believed to be the biggest celebrity divorce payout in Hollywood history. Getting a prenup wasn't something he considered when he met his dental nurse wife in the late 1970s, when they were both tenants in a house in Adelaide. They had seven kids together. Gibson is known to have invested heavily in real estate, including an island in Fiji he bought for $15m in 2005. Truth behind Hollywood's most tragic stars
Marilyn Monroe. Jayne Mansfield. Anna Nicole Smith. Hollywood has a long and sad history of churning out blonde bombshells who live fast and die young. Until recently, Mariska Hargitay had spent her whole life trying to distance herself from one of those famous sex symbols: her mother, Jayne Mansfield. Playing detective Olivia Benson on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit for more than 26 years, Hargitay has forged a career breaking down stereotypes about sex and sexuality on screen, not playing up to them. 'I just wanted my mum to be like the other mums!' Hargitay told Vanity Fair ahead of the release of her new documentary My Mum Jayne. 'Like, 'Why are you always in a bathing suit? Why so much breast?' I just wanted a maternal mother image. I was embarrassed by the choices that she made.' One of the most famous images of Mansfield was taken at a 1957 dinner while seated next to Sophia Loren. As the blonde starlet's cleavage threatened to escape from her dress, Loren was snapped giving Mansfield some serious side-eye. Hargitay hated the iconic shot, explaining in her doco: 'To see another woman look at your mum like that was excruciating for me as a little girl.' In My Mum Jayne, the actor shares rare archival footage and interviews her older siblings to get better insight into the woman behind the myth, painting a picture of a talented musician who could speak multiple languages. 'Her career made me want to do it differently, but I want to understand her now,' Hargitay explains in her documentary, as she faces the truth about her own paternity and her mother's death in 1967. Like Monroe before her, Mansfield was eager to be taken seriously as an actor and grew frustrated by the voluptuous, sexed-up image that had made her a household name. And like Monroe, Mansfield died young and in terribly tragic circumstances. Five years after Monroe's overdose, Mansfield, 34, was killed instantly when the car she was travelling in slammed into the trailer of a truck. Hargitay, who was in the backseat with her two brothers, survived the accident. Before her death, Mansfield admitted that Monroe had been an inspiration to herself and other aspiring actors such as Mamie Van Doren. 'I've always thought, since I was a little girl, that she was the most beautiful woman in the world,' Mansfield said. 'You know, I really don't look like her at all. You can take practically any fairly shaped girl, bleach her hair, wet her lips, put her into a tight dress and have her walk a little wiggly and – well, we all look a little alike.' The archetype blonde bombshell, Monroe inspired Elton John's song 'Candle In The Wind' and an Andy Warhol pop art series, as well as movies and TV shows. For Michelle Williams (who was Oscar-nominated for playing Monroe in the 2011 film My Week With Marilyn), the iconic star had a childlike vulnerability that made you want to take care of her. And to prepare for playing the much-copied Monroe, Williams devoured countless biographies. As soon as you're done with one book, you can pick up another, she told Vogue. Everything I could get my hands on. Footage, clips. I mean honestly, I did feel a tremendous amount of responsibility to the memory of somebody and the way that the person lives on in the world and in the people that admire them. Ana de Armas also earned an Oscar nod for her confronting portrayal of the Gentlemen Prefer Blondes star in the 2022 Netflix film Blonde. She was living in a nightmare, de Armas said of Monroe's sexy image, during an interview at the Venice Film Festival. This character was like a prison for her, de Armas said in a later interview. She was the most famous and desired woman in the world. At the same time, she was completely unseen for who she was. She felt like she couldn't show herself to people because that's not what they wanted from her. And she learned that very quickly. I could not imagine something worse to happen to someone, not to be able to be yourself. Art sadly imitated life for one of Monroe's most famous imitators, Nicole Smith. The Texan Playboy playmate made no secret of her Monroe obsession, telling Extra: The way she talked, so poised, so beautiful, so sad. She was all around me. Smith even lived in Monroe's house for a time and said she'd seen her ghost wandering the halls. According to Smith's limo driver Todd Bernstein, Smith told him she would have liked to die like Marilyn, young and beautiful. And in a sad twist of fate, she did, dying in 2007 from an accidental overdose. She was 39.
