Robert Irwin issues public apology to Coffs Harbour restaurant after failing to pay for his meal

Robert Irwin has issued a lengthy apology online after failing to pay for his meal at a NSW restaurant.
The Australian wildlife warrior, 21, shared a video on Instagram directed at the owners of The Jetty Pavilion in Coffs Harbour, revealing his embarrassment over his recent 'dine and dash' at their eatery while road tripping along the east coast.
Irwin said he stopped in Coffs for dinner over the weekend, where he ordered a takeaway salad and quickly became distracted by a flurry of fans wanting selfies.
'I went in there, and there was a lot of people who, you know, saw me and said g'day, and wanted to have a photo. But it turned into a bit of a frenzy … It was a bit of a flurry there for a moment,' Irwin began.
'Anyway, they got the salad done super fast, I made sure I said hi to absolutely everyone, 'Cheers, thanks so much, see ya later.'
'Then the next morning wake up and realise, I never paid for my salad! I just did the old dine and dash and didn't even realise. I felt terrible.'
The I'm A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! co-host said he quickly reached out to the venue and offered to hand over his credit card details to fix up the bill, as he'd already left Coffs at that point.
'They said, 'Don't worry, just leave us a good review.' I said, 'I'll do you one better!'' Irwin continued.
'There are eight million of you guys on here [Instagram]. Go and support the Jetty Pavilion. They are the absolute best.
'I apologise again. Today is not the day I start my life of crime, as much as the tabloids would love that.'
The venue hilariously reacted to the video on its official Instagram account, revealing the salad at the centre of the great Irwin dine and dash scandal: A $26 Harvest Bowl.
Owners Kyle Miller and Ben Hemsworth sat down for an interview with Today Monday morning, where they assured they had no hard feelings against Irwin for his slip-up. Quite the contrary, they say he's brought money-can't-buy exposure to their business and the area of Coffs Harbour.
'Unbelievable [exposure]. I was a bit in shock,' owner Hemsworth said on-air.
'I was expecting just to see 'Jetty Pavilion has a great salad' on a Google review, and then I got a message from my daughter saying, 'Oh my god, I saw the video!' And my phone just lit up.'
The pair also cheekily put majority of the blame on their 'starstruck' waitresses.
'Some of the girls got a little starstruck and forgot to accept a payment, and they came and told me a little afterwards, and I said, 'Did you get his number?'' Hemsworth said, laughing.
'It's not very common for us to get a world celebrity in the door, so we can't blame the girls for that one, I guess he's a good lookin' fella,' Miller added.

Cameron Boyce remembered by Descendants co-stars

Cameron Boyce's Descendants co-stars have paid tribute to the late star on the sixth anniversary of his death. The Disney actor passed away at the age of just 20 when he suffered a seizure in his sleep due to epilepsy and on Sunday (06.07.25), he was remembered as an "angel" by his friends. Sofia Carson shared a behind-the-scenes cast photo and wrote on Instagram: "Our Angel. Forever." Booboo Stewart shared the same photo on his own Instagram Story, while Sarah Jeffrey shared a photo of herself with Cameron 'on a BC ferry to Victoria to shoot more of Descendants." She added: "Life is good. Miss you Cam.' Meanwhile, Jenna Ortega recently reflected on the last time she saw Cameron, explaining how she felt "uncomfortable" when they were put in a "weird" position and asked to kiss during an audition, but her friend spoke up for her. Speaking to French TV outlet Canal+, she said: "The last time I saw my friend Cameron Boyce — I'd known him since I was like 11 or 12, and we were supposed to kiss [in an audition] and he knew me, since I was 11 or 12. This is a few years later, 15, 16, came in, we were supposed to be love interests. "But because he obviously felt weird and he was a bit older, he was like — we both just kinda looked at each other and we were like, 'No, we can't do this.' "And it was so sweet because I was uncomfortable and I was having a hard time. .. And then, we wished each other well." Jenna was "really thankful and grateful" to Cameron for speaking up, and agreed with her Beetlejuice Beetlejuice co-star Catherine O'Hara when she said he had been a "gentleman". Following his tragic death, the actor's family set up the Cameron Boyce Foundation to provide "young people artistic and creative outlets as alternatives to violence and negativity". At the time of his passing, Cameron's "utterly heartbroken" family remembered him as one of the world's "brightest lights". They said in a statement at the time: "It is with a profoundly heavy heart that we report that this morning we lost Cameron. 'He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated. The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him. 'We are utterly heartbroken and ask for privacy during this immensely difficult time as we grieve the loss of our precious son and brother."

Axed Channel 10 star Jonathan LaPaglia rumoured to host US version of Survivor after brutal sacking

Just days after he was brutally axed from Channel 10, Jonathan LaPaglia is rumoured to have bagged a new gig in the US. It was revealed last week that the current host of Survivor Australia had been informed over a 'cold' email that Channel 10 had decided the show needed a refresh and that he wouldn't be part of it. But now, LaPaglia could have the last laugh as rumours are swirling that he could be being lined up to replace US host, Jeff Probst, according to New Idea. LaPaglia and Probst are good mates, and have met up for dinner on numerous occasions, with the Australian previously confessing to being a huge fan of the US series. 'JLP is the best. I think a lot of the issue with Jeff is his evolution into this motivational speaker that none of us asked for. Jeff in the early days was more interesting to watch host. Not so much anymore,' remarked one fan amid the speculation. 'He's [JLP] my pick to for replacement host if Jeff retires,' another Survivor fan shared. Rumours of Probst's departure were further fuelled when he shared a video of himself advertising the 50th season of the show. Fans of the franchise were quick to remark that the long-running presenter looked 'unhappy' and 'over' his job, sparking suggestions that it could be his last season in front of the camera. Meanwhile, the rumours emerged after new details about how longtime Survivor host LaPaglia was axed from the Aussie version of the show. The Australian TV host, who has helmed the Channel 10 show since its revival in 2016, will not return as a presenter next year. LaPaglia initially made a statement telling fans that he had been 'blindsided' by the network, and now it's been claimed that the long-running star was informed of his sacking via a 'cold' email. 'He got an email first,' a source told Daily Mail. 'That was the initial comms from EndemolShine.' 'Then a call came from Ten, but by then it was already done. It's really not how you treat someone who's been part of the show for almost a decade.' To make matters worse, the source alleges that LaPaglia received the sudden email before he had finished filming Survivor: Australia vs. The World. The insider claimed that the decision to fire LaPaglia was 'locked in' for months, but in order to avoid any trouble during the filming of his latest season they wanted to wait until the show was complete.
