
CUSB to start PG diploma in pharmacy from current session

CUSB's pharmacy department head Vivek Dave said the department had already been running M Pharma and Ph D courses under the School of Health Sciences quite successfully. Now, with the approval of PCI, it will also start two-year PG diploma course from the current session.
The dean of the school of health sciences at CUSB, Subrat Kumar Bhattamisra, said that there would be a total of 60 seats in the diploma in pharmacy course, and admission to this new course would be made through CUET (Common University Entrance Test) 2025.
Expressing his pleasure at the PCI's approval of the new pharmacy course to be launched this year, CUSB vice-chancellor K N Singh pointed out that this course would directly benefit a large section of the society as it would help the country achieve its goal of a developed nation by the year 2047. The university has already introduced a number of new innovative courses in the larger interest of the local youth as well as the society, he added.

Delhi University to release second list on July 28 for undergraduate seats
Students who narrowly missed a seat in Delhi University's first round of undergraduate admissions still have a strong chance in the second round, with several prestigious colleges reporting vacancies across popular courses. However, it still offers 16 seats in BSc (Honours) Physics. Kirori Mal College has more than 50 vacancies, with 23 in physics and 12 in chemistry. Miranda House has around 40 seats still open, including 14 in physics, 10 in botany, and three in English (Honours). These vacancies are expected to be snapped up quickly when the second admission round begins on July 28. Candidates can start accepting their allocated seats from that day until July 30. Colleges will complete the verification and approval of applications by July 31, and students must pay their fees by August 1 to confirm their first round of admissions saw 62,565 students secure seats, including 34,014 women and 28,551 men. Ambedkar University opens PG admissions for non-CUET applicants for 2025-26
NEW DELHI: Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) has opened a fresh window for postgraduate admissions under the non-CUET category for the 2025-26 academic session. This initiative allows students who did not take the Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate (CUET-PG) to apply based on their undergraduate marks. The university announced that non-CUET applicants can submit their applications through a separate portal at Admissions will be considered for remaining seats after CUET-based candidates are selected. The application window for both CUET and non-CUET candidates will remain open from July 24 to July 27. AUD, a state university under the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, currently operates campuses at Kashmere Gate, Karampura, and Lodhi Road. It is also expanding with two new campuses in Rohini and Dheerpur. The Dheerpur campus, covering 4.95 acres and surrounded by 50 acres of protected wetlands, will accommodate up to 4,500 full-time and 2,000 part-time students in its first phase. The development, with a Rs 1,199.12 crore budget, is expected to provide 176,000 square meters of built-up space, according to officials.

Sammakka Sarakka varsity releases first admission notification
Hyderabad: The Sammakka Sarakka Central Tribal University (SSCTU), situated in the tribal heartland of Mulugu district, Telangana, has announced the commencement of undergraduate admissions for the academic year 2025–26. Prospective students seeking admission must apply based on their CUET (UG) 2025 scores, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The programmes offered include: B.A. (Hons) in English and B.A. (Hons) in Economics. These four-year honours programmes are designed in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 framework, offering students flexibility through multiple exit and re-entry options, interdisciplinary learning opportunities, and skill development initiatives. The SSCTU said on Thursday that the Online Application Portal opens on July 23 and the last date for application submission is July 31, 2025. The Provisional Merit List will be published on August 4, and the Final Merit List & Counselling Notification will be issued on August 6. The Physical Counselling and Document Verification is scheduled on August 11, 2025, and the Classes will commence from August 13. All candidates who selected SSCTU during their CUET (UG) 2025 registration and fulfil the prescribed eligibility criteria are invited to register online and participate in the admission counselling process. Those who did not select SSCTU during CUET registration but meet the required subject combinations and eligibility criteria may still apply. The SSCTU said candidates who did not appear for CUET (UG) 2025 are eligible for spot admissions, subject to seat availability after the CUET-based rounds. Spot admission details will be announced subsequently on the official university website.
