YSRCP approaches HC, files quash petition in Jagan Mohan Reddy's vehicle's hit-and-run case
The victim, identified as Singayya, was fatally struck by Jagan's bulletproof vehicle during a recent visit to Rentapalla village in Guntur district. The incident has attracted significant public attention and sparked controversy.
On Tuesday evening, police seized the vehicle involved in the incident as part of the ongoing investigation. The party, however, maintains that the case is politically motivated and has sought legal recourse to have the charges quashed.
Meanwhile, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has upped the ante against the NDA coalition government and has called for a five-week programme called 'Recalling Chandrababu's Manifesto' during which the Party would reach out to the people with election promises of the coalition and highlight its failure in keeping them up.
Addressing the Party extensive meeting attended by MPs, MLAs, MLCs constituency and regional coordinators here on Wednesday, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy gave a graphic detail of how to go about in highlighting the failures of the government by showing the manifesto, explaining to people what is due from the government and how they got cheated.
Launching the programme with the release of QR code, he said, the aim of the programme is to show how much damage Chandrababu Naidu has caused to each family during his one year in office and how much damage is in the offing. 'This should be contrasted with the benefits the people would have received if they were to be in government. This line of thought should be taken to every household up to the village level,' Jagan Mohan Reddy said.
The QR code will bring out Chandrababu's manifesto and how much each family should have got and this should be done from district, constituency to village level in five phases, he said adding that the various frauds committed by him would also be seen along with the dues data.
'We should bring awareness among the people about how they are being cheated and how blatantly Chandrababu has been telling that all promises were implemented, and if anyone questions, he is being called names,' the former CM said.
Chandrababu during elections has promised to give more than what YSRCP is giving and through his cadre has given a bond explaining how much would each person under what scheme and said this is a bond which says, 'I, Chandrababu Naidu, solemnly pledge that I will uphold the trust placed in me by the people of our state', the bond said and was signed by both Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan.
'The amount under various schemes will be given from June 24, was the promise and it is time for people to redeem the bond and we should explain in detail in the five-week mass contact programme. Besides the promises, the government owes fee reimbursement, hostel and mess charges, Aarogyasri dues, which adversely affected the poorer sections,' he said.
'A year has passed, and from now on, we have to fight and be available to the people. The draconian rule with its repressive methods should be fought tooth and nail,' Jagan Reddy added. (ANI)

'We have been successful in securing permission for artificial rain through cloud seeding... We will run the trial between the end of August and the first week of September. We will conduct five trials to learn if it could be efficient against the smog that collects during Diwali or in September,' he said. On May 7, the Delhi cabinet on Wednesday passed a historic decision to conduct cloud seeding, also known as artificial rain, in the national capital to mitigate pollution. Pollution has been a serious concern for the state for some time, and to help curb it, the cabinet has taken a significant step in partnership with IIT Kanpur, according to a member. The activity is planned to be conducted in the last week of May, after the cabinet has obtained all the necessary permissions from various departments and stakeholders. The exercise will be conducted in partnership with IIT Kanpur, and their Aircraft, a Cessna, will be used for the purpose. The Delhi government plans to conduct five trials in the outer area of the national capital. The cost for one-time rain will account for 66 lakhs, and the operational cost will be 55 lakhs. The total cost for the entire trial plan can go up to 2 crores 55 lakhs. The aim of the Delhi government is to mitigate pollution in the national capital to achieve its goal of a Viksit Delhi. AICWA urges PM Modi to enforce ban on Pakistani artists' digital presence in India
New Delhi [India], July 2 (ANI): The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has issued a formal appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanding a complete and permanent ban on the digital and media presence of all Pakistani nationals and entertainment-related entities in India. In a statement shared through its official X (formerly Twitter) account, the association expressed concern over the reappearance of Pakistani actors and media channels on Indian digital platforms. AICWA cited the active social media presence of Pakistani celebrities such as Mawra Hocane and Yumna Zaidi, along with several Pakistan-based entertainment outlets, calling it 'an emotional assault' on the families of victims of terrorism. 'This is not merely a digital appearance, it is a direct insult to the sacrifice of our martyred soldiers,' the association said. It referenced terror attacks including 26/11, Pulwama, Uri, and Pahalgam as part of its appeal, reiterating its long-standing position that Pakistan is responsible for continued cross-border terrorism. AICWA also raised objections to statements allegedly made by Pakistani public figures following India's recent Operation Sindoor, stating that 'instead of showing remorse, several Pakistani artists have shamelessly spoken against India.' Highlighting the cultural disconnect already in place from Pakistan's side, AICWA pointed out that Indian films and content remain banned in Pakistan since the Pulwama attack. The association questioned why Indian platforms should allow any exposure to Pakistani artists under these circumstances. The appeal further stated, 'India has diplomatic and cultural relations with nearly 200 nations across the globe. Cutting off Pakistan completely will have zero negative impact on our economy or entertainment industry.' The organisation called for a nationwide digital blackout of Pakistani social media accounts and media channels, a ban on all future collaborations involving Pakistani citizens across Indian media, OTT platforms, and advertising and a permanent cultural disconnect with Pakistan, as a tribute to India's armed forces and martyrs. The Pahalgam attack, which claimed the lives of 26 civilians and injured several others, was widely condemned by Indian officials and has significantly heightened public sentiment against cross-border terrorism.
