Several Metro Manila roads flooded due to thunderstorm

Several roads in Metro Manila on Saturday were flooded because of a thunderstorm.
The thunderstorm, which also affected nearby provinces such as Bulacan, Pampanga, and Cavite began in the afternoon, according to weather bureau PAGASA.
As of 7:40 p.m., the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said that these roads are flooded:
Quezon City
EDSA NB, after Quezon Ave. flyover; half gutter deep; PASSABLE TO ALL TYPES OF VEHICLES
Quezon Ave. Biak na Bato EB and WB; waist deep; NOT PASSABLE TO LIGHT VEHICLES
EDSA NB, Balintawak; gutter deep; PASSABLE TO ALL TYPES OF VEHICLES
Sto. Domingo Ave. Atok St. both directions; waist deep; NOT PASSABLE TO ALL TYPES OF VEHICLES
Manila City
España Lacson to Vicente Cruz EB/WB; knee deep; NOT PASSABLE TO LIGHT VEHICLES
España Blvd corner Antipolo Street; 26 inches, tire deep; NOT PASSABLE TO ALL TYPES OF VEHICLES
Malabon City
M.H. del Pilar, Brgy. Tinajeros; gutter deep; PASSABLE TO ALL TYPES OF VEHICLES (PATV)
Gov. Pascual Avenue, Brgy Acacia; gutter deep; PASSABLE TO ALL TYPES OF VEHICLES (PATV)
Valenzuela City
McArthur Highway near Fatima University; ankle deep; PASSABLE TO ALL TYPES OF VEHICLES (PATV)
Meanwhile, the Intertropical Convergence Zone, Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), and easterlies will affect the country in the next 24 hours, PAGASA said.
Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms are forecast for Zamboanga Peninsula, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, and Negros Island Region due to the ITCZ.
Palawan and Western Mindanao will see cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms because of the Southwest Monsoon.
The same weather conditions will occur in Eastern Visayas, the Bicol Region, and Quezon due to the easterlies.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. — VBL, GMA Integrated News

Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms. The rest of Luzon meanwhile will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may result. Coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the country. The monsoon is expected to cause cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Visayas, Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, Albay, and Sorsogon, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila, CALABARZON, the rest of MIMAROPA, and Mindanao. The rest of Luzon will expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur as a result of these weather conditions. Meanwhile, the country may experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
