Comedian Reginald D Hunter appears in court over social media posts

Comedian Reginald D Hunter has appeared in court over alleged antisemitic social media posts.
The 56-year-old US stand-up is accused of three counts of sending an offensive communication on three different occasions – on August 24, September 10 and September 11 last year – to Heidi Bachram on X, formerly Twitter.
He spoke to confirm his personal details when he appeared at London's Westminster Magistrates' Court on Monday for the private prosecution, which is being brought by the Campaign Against Antisemitism (CAA) charity.
It is alleged Hunter sent a computer-generated sexual image to Ms Bachram in August last year, with the charges claiming it was 'grossly offensive'.
No indication of plea was given and Hunter was bailed to return for a hearing at the same court on November 14.
Deputy district judge Louise Balmain told him: 'There is going to be an initial legal argument as to whether the case should proceed and that will take place on November 14.'
The judge told Hunter to attend that hearing as he will learn if the case goes ahead and whether he will have to enter a plea.
Hunter, whose address was given as care of Kalber Struckley solicitors, was released on unconditional bail.
Hunter regularly tours the UK and has appeared on comedy panel shows Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Have I Got News For You and 8 Out Of 10 Cats.
In an Instagram post published last week, Hunter said the CAA is 'dragging me to court for jokes online'.
Hunter also declared he is 'fighting a private prosecution for my comedy' in a crowdfunding appeal launched to help cover legal fees.
A total of £19,836 towards a £50,000 target had been pledged by the time he made his first appearance in court on Monday.
The crowdfunder, aimed at raising money towards specialist counsel and any appeals procedures and court fees, states: 'Born in Georgia in 1969, Reginald has been a force in UK comedy since 1992.
'Known for his biting social commentary, he has appeared on Have I Got News For You, 8 Out of 10 Cats and was Perrier-nominated at Edinburgh Festival.
'Reginald challenges audiences on racism, politics, and religion. He is staunchly anti-War and has publicly criticised Israel in the past.'
The CAA describes itself as an organisation of volunteers which works to 'expose and counter antisemitism through education and zero-tolerance enforcement of the law'.
Stephen Silverman, the group's director of investigations and enforcement, previously said: 'This is one of a number of private prosecutions that we are bringing, and there will be more to say on the case in due course.'

Anais Gallagher pays sweet tribute to rocker dad Noel and reveals her seven-year-old voice features in the set as she attends first sold out reunion gig at Heaton Park

Anais Gallagher was gushing with pride for her rocker dad as she attended the first sold out show of Oasis' five-night stint at Heaton Park on Friday. The daughter of Noel took to Instagram to share a video of her father's guitar solo as she penned: 'My dad's the coolest'. She later also revealed her childhood voice also features in the set as she recorded the end of the band's hit Rock 'n' Roll Star. As the track came to an end and the band walked off the stage ahead of the encore, a younger Anais could be heard saying 'That's rock and roll baby'. And confirming it to be her she told followers: '"That's rock n roll baby" That's my little seven year old voice'. On Friday both Noel and Liam's children reunited for the 'pic of the century' ahead of their fathers' first Manchester show, as they proved they are closer than ever. Wrapping their arms around each other back stage at Heaton Park, Liam's youngest child, Gene, 24, shared a photo to Instagram as he was joined by his brother Lennon, 25, and Anais, as well as Noel's sons Donovan, 17, and Sonny, 14. Also in the picture was Pep Guardiola, Spanish professional football manager, who has been the manager of Noel's beloved Manchester City football club since 2016. The Spaniard wore a retro Manchester City shirt as he prepares to try and win back the top flight title they lost to Liverpool last season. Gene captioned the photo: 'Pic of the century, alright? now everyone els (sic) f**k off.' Notably missing from the picture was Liam's daughter, Molly, 27. Liam shares Gene with Nicole Appleton and later welcomed Lennon with Patsy Kensit. Noel shares Anais with Meg Mathews, and her brothers Sonny, 15, and Donovan, 18, with Sara MacDonald. Liam is currently engaged to Debbie Gwyther and have been together since 2013, meanwhile Noel is dating Sally Mash. And Liam and Noel appeared hand-in-hand as they kicked off the first of their five-night stint at Heaton Park on Friday. Oasis performed in front of a sold-out 80,000 strong crowd in their home city of Manchester after beginning their world tour in Cardiff last week. The shows at Heaton Park - a 600-acre public park in Bury and Manchester - are the only UK shows held outside a stadium, with the others taking place at the Principality Stadium, Wembley and Murrayfield. Oasis opened their set with Hello from their 1995 second album (What's the Story) Morning Glory?, before playing Acquiesce. Fans were treated to Morning Glory, Some Might Say, Cigarettes and Alcohol, and Supersonic before Noel's acoustic set. Giving his brother a hug, Liam then headed off while Noel played Half The World Away and Little By Little. Other songs included D'You Know What I Mean, Cast No Shadow, Stand By Me, Whatever and Rock N Roll Star. After Rock N Roll Star, Liam said: 'Thanks for sticking with us. I know we are difficult, but you want to try being in the band,' before they left the stage.' As chants of 'one more song!' echoed through the crowd they strolled back on to stage to play fan favourites Don't Look Back In Anger and Wonderwall. Oasis ended the night on Champagne Supernova with fireworks being set off from the stage.
