New Video: Astronomer CEO Andy Byron, Kristin Cabot Caught ‘Lip-Locking' Before Coldplay Concert
What was meant to be a magical night of music at a Coldplay concert turned into a PR nightmare for data company Astronomer, all thanks to an awkward moment caught on the kiss cam. But even before the Jumbotron zoomed in on Astronomer CEO Andy Byron, HR chief Kristin Cabot and captured them embracing each other, the duo was seen getting cozy at the Gillette Stadium in Boston on Wednesday. A video going viral saw the two 'locking lips' and engaging in PDA before being caught on the kiss cam.
Byron and Cabot's clumsy attempt to hide their faces prompted a sly on-stage remark from Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, who joked, 'I hope we didn't do something bad." Accidentally exposing the alleged affair, he added, 'Either they are having an affair or they are very shy."

Wondering why is the video making headlines beyond concert drama? It is because Andy Byron is married to Megan Kerrigan Byron — and the two reportedly reside in New York. Kristin Cabot is believed to be married to Andrew Cabot, CEO of Privateer Rum. The New York Post reported that the couple recently purchased a home together in Rye, New Hampshire. This situation quickly led to speculation that the two are having an extramarital affair.
Now, with the video sparking cheating rumours, chaos and reputational harm, Astronomer stepped in to address the issue. In a statement released on Friday, the company highlighted its commitment to ethical leadership. 'Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability."
The company also confirmed that a formal investigation has been launched and assured that further details would be informed soon. 'The Board of Directors has initiated a formal investigation into this matter and we will have additional details to share very shortly," it further read.
Additionally, a post on the company's LinkedIn clarified, 'Alyssa Stoddard was not at the event and no other employees were in the video. Andy Byron has not put out any statement; reports saying otherwise are all incorrect."

According to Axios, both Byron and Cabot have been placed on leave, although it remains unclear whether the two will be permanently terminated or not.
Meanwhile, the internet continues to buzz with debates over workplace ethics, public behaviour and extramarital relationships.
