Four bodies found after baby girl strapped to car seat in stranger's garden
The infant was found alone in a yard by a local resident earlier this week. A baby girl's parents, uncle and gran have been found dead after the infant was discovered strapped to a car seat in a stranger's garden. The baby was discovered alone inside the yard after a resident on Highway 20, near Tigrett, in Tennessee, alerted police at about 3:11pm local time on Tuesday, July 29. Authorities confirmed a child had been left in a Dyer County yard and was now safe. A probe was launched amid concern the girl's parents and relatives could not be contacted. The girl's paternal grandmother said she last had contact with her son at 6:34am on Monday while he headed home from Big River Steel. It comes after a woman, 20, was found dead on bus with 26 iPhones glued to her body, reports the Mirror. Family members said none of those missing would have consciously left the child behind. Just hours later, officials discovered the bodies off Carrington Road. The Dyer County District Attorney's Office confirmed that the girl's parents James Wilson, 21, and Adrianna Williams, 20, were found dead. Cortney Rose, 38, and Braydon Williams, 15, the baby's maternal grandmother and uncle, were also found dead. Officials discovered two vehicles connected to the family, a black Dodger Charger and a White SUV, near the crime scene. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigations is now leading the investigation with assistance from the Dyer County Sheriff. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigations said: "The investigation, including efforts to identify and apprehend the suspect or suspects, remains active and ongoing." The investigation is active and ongoing. In an update shared today, the sheriff's department issued details of a suspect wanted by officials. Austin Robert Drummond is wanted on suspicion of first-degree murder, kidnapping and several other charges. He was described as 5'10 with brown hair, blue eyes and a goatee. They said his appearance might have been altered, according to officials. Police said he should be considered armed and dangerous. Dyer County Sheriff Jeff Box said on Monday: "This is a deeply saddening day for our community. We are committed to uncovering the truth and ensuring justice is served." Anyone with any information has been asked to contact the Dyer County Sheriff's Office at 731-285-2802.

P Diddy files for acquittal or a retrial over two prostitution related charges
Sean 'Diddy' Combs' has filed for an acquittal or a retrial over the two transportation to engage in prostitution charges relating to ex Cassie Ventura and a woman named Jane Sean 'Diddy' Combs' legal team have filed for an acquittal or a retrial. The disgraced rapper was found guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution, relating to ex girlfriend Cassie Ventura and another woman referred to as Jane. Earlier this month, he was found not guilty of racketeering and of sex trafficking Ventura and Jane. He dropped to the floor as the verdict, decided by eight men and four women, acquitted him of the most serious counts. The court heard how he flew people around the country, including his girlfriends and paid male sex workers, to engage in sexual encounters, a felony violation of the federal Mann Act. It comes after Combs was denied bail following the end of his two-month long trial. In a statement shared with the Mirror, Combs' team said: "This prosecution was unprecedented. This verdict is unsound. And this conviction, rooted in a misapplied, overbroad statute, should not stand." According to court documents from this week, Combs' attorneys have argued he did not violate the Mann Act. It is a federal law that makes it a crime to transport someone across state lines for illegal sexual activity. 'To our knowledge, Mr. Combs is the only person ever convicted of violating the statute for conduct [for] anything like this,' the motion states according to Page Six. It continues: 'It is undisputed that he had no commercial motive and that all involved were adults. The men chose to travel and engage in the activity voluntarily. 'The verdict confirms the women were not vulnerable or exploited or trafficked or sexually assaulted during the Freak-Offs or hotel nights. And Mr. Combs never had sex with the supposed 'prostitutes.'' They went on to claim Combs "typically hired the services of male escorts or dancers advertised openly through lawful businesses" for Freak-Offs with Ventura and Jane. "The men were paid for their time," the motion said, 'and they enjoyed the activities and had friendships with Ms. Ventura and Jane and were not merely traveling to have sex for money.' Combs' lawyers argued that the partial conviction violates his First Amendment rights. The documents added: 'The Freak-Offs and hotel nights were performances that he or his girlfriends typically videotaped so they could watch them later." They said Combs was "producing amateur pornography for later private viewing since the films depicted adults voluntarily engaging in consensual activity." Combs' lawyers said if an acquittal is not granted then they would like a retrial "due to severe spillover prejudice from reams of inflammatory evidence." They made reference to footage from 2016 taken from hotel CCTV showing Combs attacking Ventura. 'This evidence, particularly the Intercontinental footage, was admissible only because of the RICO and sex-trafficking charges,' the filing said. 'It would never have been admitted at a trial solely on the Mann Act counts, as it was irrelevant and unfairly prejudicial. Under the Second Circuit's 'retroactive misjoinder' doctrine, a new trial limited to evidence admissible to prove the Mann Act charges is warranted.' Combs is currently behind bars as he awaits his sentencing. It is scheduled for October 3.

Woman dies with 26 iPhones glued to her body on board bus
Emergency services were called to help the 20-year-old woman. An investigation has been launched in Brazil after a young woman died with dozens of iPhones glued to her body. The 20-year-old tragically collapsed on a bus travelling through Guarapuava, in the central state of Paraná, and later died despite efforts from medics to save her, according to the Mirror. She had been on a long-distance coach that stopped at a roadside restaurant when she suddenly took ill. Paramedics from Brazil's Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) were called and found her awake but struggling to breathe. But her condition rapidly worsened. She began showing signs consistent with a seizure and respiratory distress before going into cardiac arrest. Paramedics attempted to revive the woman for around 45 minutes, but she was pronounced dead at the scene. It was only while medics were treating her that they made the bizarre discovery that several packages, including 26 iPhones, had been strapped to her body. There were no drugs found on her after a police sniffer dog was brought in. But investigators from Brazil's Scientific Police and Civil Police were called and discovered several bottles of alcohol in her luggage, which were seized. "The Paraná Civil Police are investigating the case and awaiting the conclusion of forensic reports to clarify the cause of death. According to preliminary information, the woman, who was alone, was traveling from Foz do Iguaçu to São Paulo. The 26 cell phones that were glued to her body were seized and sent to the Federal Revenue Service," police said according to Brazilian news outlet Globo. The identity of the woman has not been released by authorities. An investigation remains ongoing. In a separate incident, also in Brazil, a TV journalist was left shaken after being mugged just moments before going live on air. Clara Nery, a correspondent for the Band network, was on a sidewalk in Botafogo, a neighbourhood in southern Rio de Janeiro, when the drama unfolded on Monday, July 28. She had been preparing to go live for the Bora Brasil morning programme when a man on a motorbike swooped in and tried to grab her phone. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! While driving past Clara, the assailant can be seen reaching out and swiping the journalist's phone from her hand. The clip shows Clara screaming out in shock and letting out a swear word before lunging after her phone and disappearing from the camera's view. Clara later confirmed the mugger was unable to steal and make off with her device as she had a firm grip on it. She said: 'I had my back turned when this man rode by on a motorcycle on the sidewalk and tried to take my phone. In the video, you can see the moment he puts his hand on my phone and takes it from me. 'Luckily, and despite his lack of skill, I managed to retrieve the phone. But we already have the security camera footage, the camera that managed to focus on his face.'
