Hailee Steinfeld Reflects on Why She Took a 'Bit of a Break From Music'
Hailee Steinfeld is opening up about why she took a break from making music.
The actress-singer, known for her hit songs 'Starving,' 'Love Myself,' and 'Most Girls,' recently told
Collider
that while she's enjoyed focusing on her acting career in recent years, she is also missing the music scene.
'I had taken a bit of a break from music, which was a very difficult decision to make, but I wanted to focus on my acting and was happy to be doing that,' she said. 'It goes without saying, but…music is a love of mine and a huge passion and something that has played a very strong role in my life in more ways than one, and having had the opportunity to make music through the years of my own is something I will never take for granted.'
Steinfeld, who has previously starred in "Pitch Perfect 3" and "True Grit", the latter of which scored her a best supporting actress Oscar nomination, released her last single, 'SunKissing,' in 2023. However, she shared that she is excited to return to music, beginning with her new song 'Dangerous' on the soundtrack for her new movie "Sinners".
'I felt so, so lucky to be a part of a movie like Sinners, where music is such a huge part of it. This is the dream — for me to be acting in a film that is so driven and moved by music,' she added. 'I was able to open the door again to work on something that I'm very, very, very excited about and can't wait to share more with people. It's been a long time, and I didn't realize how much I missed it.'
"Sinners", directed by Ryan Coogler and also starring Michael B. Jordan, follows twin brothers who return to their hometown to start again after trying to leave their troubled lives behind, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back. The movie opens in theaters Friday.

Ahmed Gamal Said, Jana Ashkar Will Not Return for "Watar Hassas" Season 2
Yara Sameh Season 2 of the TV series 'Watar Hassas", which launches filming in mid-July and airs during the off-season, will witness the absence of many familiar faces from season one for various reasons. Jana Ashkar, who played the role of Laila, will also not be a part of the second 2 due to her character's death on the show. Ahmed Gamal Said, who played the role of Laila's husband Mazen, won't also make an appearance in the drama due to his character's imprisonment on charges of killing his wife. As previously reported, Jordanian actress/producer Saba Mubarak will not return for 'Watar Hassas" season 2. Mubarak parted ways with the drama due to being busy with other projects. Season 1 of the series debuted on October 27 and tackled the issue of marital infidelity and the secrets of the human psyche through three women (a doctor, a lawyer, and an employee), as the pace of events escalates due to the disputes between the lawyer and her interior designer husband, especially after she accuses him of infidelity, with the relationships between all parties becoming intertwined. The series also starred Injy El Mokkaddem, Heidy Karam, Mohamed Alaa, Mohamed El Amroussi, Hager Afify, Mohamed Aly Rezk, Ahmed Tarek Nour, and more. "Watar Hassas" consists of 45 episodes and was produced by United Media Services. It was written by scriptwriter Amin Gamal and directed by Wael Farag. Season 2 of "Watar Hassas" takes place after the events of the first season. Ghada Adel has been tapped to replace Mubarak as the lead. The creators of "Watar Hassas" will also add new elements to the plot to keep up with the events. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream News Shell Unveils Cost-Cutting, LNG Growth Plan Technology 50-Year Soviet Spacecraft 'Kosmos 482' Crashes into Indian Ocean News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence"

BTS Will Return in Spring 2026 with New Music and World Tour
Yara Sameh The K-pop powerhouse BTS has officially confirmed its comeback, revealing on a Weverse livestream on Tuesday that they will return in spring 2026 with new music and a world tour. The band has been on hiatus for two years due to solo ventures and military service obligations. The 30-minute stream marked the first time all seven members — Jungkook, V, Jimin, Suga, Jin, J-Hope and RM — have broadcast live together since September 2022. It was watched by over 7.3 million fans in real time. 'We'll be releasing a new BTS album in the spring of next year,' the group said in a statement. 'Starting in July, all seven of us will begin working closely together on new music. Since it will be a group album, it will reflect each member's thoughts and ideas. We're approaching the album with the same mindset we had when we first started.' BTS will begin recording new music in the U.S. next month and start planning for a 'massive' world tour. 'We're also planning a world tour alongside the new album,' they said. 'We'll be visiting fans all around the world, so we hope you're as excited as we are.' The group presented their last tour, 'BTS: Permission to Dance on Stage,' from 2021 to 2022 and drew over 4 million attendees. BTS' last album as a group was 2022's 'Proof.' Since then, all of its members have released solo music, including Jung Kook's 2023 album 'Golden'; V's 2023 album 'Layover'; Jimin's two albums, 2023's 'Face' and 2024's 'Muse'; Suga's 2023 album 'D-Day'; Jin's two EPs, 'Happy' (2024) and 'Echo' (2025); J-Hope's 2022 album 'Jack in the Box'; and RM's two albums 'Indigo' (2022) and 'Right Place, Wrong Person' (2024). read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream News Shell Unveils Cost-Cutting, LNG Growth Plan Technology 50-Year Soviet Spacecraft 'Kosmos 482' Crashes into Indian Ocean News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence"
