TV presenters Ant and Dec join Newcastle United bus parade for Carabao Cup win
The pair, who both support the Premier League team, could be seen following the squad on to a bus as McPartlin shouted 'let's get ready to rumble' in reference to the pair's hit single as PJ and Duncan, in a clip posted to Instagram.
In another post Donnelly said: 'Well, we're about to start the parade. I don't know how we've sneaked on here, how have we done this? We just followed the team on and we're on the parade.'
McPartlin then began to chant 'ole, ole, ole, ole', while in another video the pair could be seen overlooking fans as the bus passed the club's St James' Park ground.
A post to the social media platform also showed a picture of the pair lifting the trophy formerly known as the League Cup, which was the team's first major honour in 70 years.
Speaking on Sky News, McPartlin said: 'We've just left St James' Park, and already the roads are lined with thousands and thousands of people, this is amazing.'
Donnelly said: 'A lot of people have waited a very long time to see the Newcastle players taking a trophy through the streets of Tyneside.
'It has been a long wait, but I tell you what, it has absolutely been worth it.'
McPartlin then asked him: 'Big question is though, are you going to cry like we did at Wembley on the day they won?'
To which Donnelly replied: 'Probably.'
McPartlin then asked if the bus could 'stop at Greggs on the way' because he was 'starving'.

The victory lap of Newcastle has seen the team follow a route from St James' Park, through the city centre to the Town Moor park where a stage has been erected.
Fans lined the streets to cheer on Eddie Howe's side, who beat Liverpool 2-1 in the final at Wembley Stadium almost a fortnight ago.
After the bus reached its destination, the players gathered on stage for a celebration in front of a ticketed crowd of 150,000.
The pair are best known for presenting ITV talent show Britain's Got Talent, and the channel's reality TV series I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, after beginning their careers as child actors on CBBC drama Byker Grove.

Chat G & G dive into Liverpool's high standards after Wirtz training buzz
Liverpool's Summer of Statement Signings: Florian Wirtz and the Rise of Arne Slot's Project Wirtz Sparks Heated Praise and Fierce Standards Liverpool fans are still buzzing as the club continues its high-powered rebuild under Arne Slot, but few signings have lit the touchpaper quite like Florian Wirtz. The German playmaker has arrived at Anfield amid huge expectations and even bigger reactions from those close to the club, as revealed by Gags Tandon and Grizz Khan on the latest episode of Chat G & G. Gags was quick to reference early training ground noise, quoting Dave OCKOP update that 'the players are absolutely mind-blown by the quality of Florian in training.' He backed that enthusiasm, insisting, 'They might be blown away by Florian Wirtz. I'm not comparing him to anyone else.' For Gags, Wirtz is not just another talented addition but a 'generational talent', someone who should be appreciated on his own terms. Grizz, though excited, applied a more measured lens: 'We have had class players in our very recent past—the likes of Bobby, Sadio, Phil Coutinho… and [Wirtz] is another in the line of brilliant players.' For him, the conversation must now shift to performance. 'Let the talent do the talking and let the world see what you're about in a Liverpool shirt,' he stated plainly. Generational Talent or Just Generational Hype? The debate over Wirtz's arrival reflects more than just excitement. It reveals the standards expected at a club coming off a Premier League title win under new management. Grizz's tone was clear: potential alone isn't enough. 'Now we've got him and he's ours and we believe in him and I believe in him… Let him fulfil his potential.' There were warnings too. 'Let's not over-glorify,' Grizz said. 'We have many players in world football that have had huge potential—Kai Havertz is a great example.' That comparison isn't just theoretical. As Grizz pointed out, Liverpool fans once had their hopes pinned on Havertz being the 'Firmino replacement'. It didn't materialise. Wirtz will have to do more than look good in training. He'll have to rise in the cauldron of Premier League expectations, surrounded by past and present icons. Fitting into Slot's System What does Wirtz bring to Arne Slot's Liverpool? According to the pod, it's technical quality, flair, and the ability to thrive in an intricate, possession-based system. Gags underlined the stylistic synergy: 'They all like to play it as well… It's all about intricate football. You need to put a footballer in there to play.' Grizz agreed in part but returned to what matters most—what happens when Wirtz steps onto the pitch for real. 'Now it's time he performs in the jersey of Liverpool Football Club.' That focus on output was echoed again and again. It's not enough to be 'one of the best talents in Europe', which both Gags and Grizz acknowledged. Liverpool expects delivery. No Room for Sentiment If one thing was clear from Chat G & G, it's that this Liverpool is operating with ruthless clarity. The club is buying smart, bold, and decisively. Gags defended the internal praise: 'Praising someone for being fantastic is not weak. It's lifting him up.' Grizz, while never doubting the signing's potential, challenged that line: 'By suggesting the players are blown away… it's almost like saying, 'Hey man, we've had nobodies.' Are we Spurs? Are we Manchester United?' For him, Liverpool must now act like the elite club it has become. 'Slot doesn't want us to be this underdog mentality… Welcome another great player. That's it.'

Liverpool want England under-21 hero as centre-back signing
Liverpool have strengthened in a number of positions so far during this summer transfer window - but centre-back is currently the exception. Virgil van Dijk is safely secured to a contract until 2027 but there is uncertainty for others in the position. Ibrahima Konate, for example, could be sold if no new contract is agreed. LFC x New Era Shop Now LFC Signed Merch Shop Now LFC x Titleist Shop Now Real Madrid are interested and could put in an opportunistic offer before the window closes. Joe Gomez suffered another injury-affected campaign and the club were willing to sell him last summer. He probably wouldn't be first choice to step in next to Van Dijk if Konate leaves and the Reds could find themselves requiring a senior centre-back. There is no Jarell Quansah of course since the England under-21 international moved on to Bayer Leverkusen for around £30m earlier this summer. Guehi tipped to replace Konate Marc Guehi has been tipped as the leading candidate to arrive - a player at the peak of his powers who could make an immediate impact. At 25 he might be a little older than Liverpool's usual transfer targets but provides an immediate solution to the gap Konate's departure opens. That said, Liverpool remain interested in finding the best young centre-back talent and an intriguing link has emerged between the Premier League champions and Charlie Cresswell. Charlie Cresswell stars for England U21 The 22-year-old was a star of the recent UEFA Euro U21 win alongside Quansah, Tyler Morton and Harvey Elliott. The former Leeds defender was named to the team of the tournament and alongside Elliott became only the THIRD English players in history to win in back-to-back Euro U21 tournaments following victory in 2023. Cresswell was sold to Toulouse last summer following a loan spell at Millwall and has established himself as one of the most promising young defenders in the French top flight. His form across 31 Ligue 1 games - not to mention the Euros success - has put him on the radar of Liverpool and he has been named as a potential target alongside Ajax starlet Jorrel Hato. Liverpool looking at Charlie Cresswell That's according to a new report from transfer expert Ben Jacobs, who claims that Liverpool recruiters believe Cresswell fits the bill for a central defensive arrival. 'Guehi is kind of the exception to the rule,' Jacobs told the Born N'Red YouTube channel. "So players like Jorrel Hato, and I would add Charlie Cresswell as well — who used to be at Leeds United — they've been looked at because they're in that 18 to 22 profile." Cresswell wanted to take over from Van Dijk? Liverpool will eventually need to move on from Van Dijk, who turned 34 this month. And rather than throw a young player in at the deep end, there is the opportunity for the new arrival to learn from the more senior player in the squad before being eventually groomed for a takeover. "And Liverpool love a transition where they actually find the player they need before the player that departs goes — as shown also by Mamardashvili and Alisson,' Jacobs explains. "And as a consequence, if they can buy a bit younger, you take the pressure off." Cresswell is under contract at Toulouse until 2028 and it remains to be seen if Liverpool follow up their interest this summer. **👉 **Liverpool set to increase transfer budget by £200m 🔗
