, the consecration will be marked by an elaborate three-day festival from June 3 to 5.The rituals, however, will begin on May 30 with the installation of the Shiva Lingam in the Shiv temple located within the complex.A total of 101 Vedic scholars from Kashi and Ayodhya will oversee the rituals including the worship of the 'Yagyashala', recitation of the Valmiki Ramayana, chanting of mantras, readings from the four Vedas, and other traditional ceremonies.Marble thrones, each two feet in height, have been specially crafted for the installation of the deities in the respective temples.
The idols will be placed on these thrones during the consecration ceremonies, Trust officials said.The temples slated for consecration include six located within the main precinct — dedicated to Lord Shiva, the Sun God, Ganapati, Hanuman, Goddess Bhagwati, and Goddess Annapurna.Additionally, seven temples situated in the Sapt Mandapam area will be consecrated, housing deities and revered figures such as Sage Vashistha, Valmiki, Agastya, Vishwamitra, Ahalya, Shabari, and Nishadraj. An idol of Lakshman, in the form of Sheshavatar, will also be consecrated in the Sheshavatar Temple as part of the ceremonies.Trust officials said the event is expected to draw a large number of devotees.

Agency: Udupi (Karnataka), Jul 25 (PTI) Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot on Friday said in a world increasingly plagued by violence and intolerance, the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita offer the sole path towards achieving lasting peace. He was speaking after inaugurating the Sri Krishna Janmashtami Mandalotsava at Rajangana in Udupi organised by Paryaya Sri Puthige Matha today. The 48-day festival, steeped in spiritual and cultural tradition, will take place from August 1 to September 17. 'The life of Lord Krishna offers profound lessons in Dharma Yoga, Karma Yoga and Bhakti Yoga. His teachings are timeless and especially relevant in the present era of unrest," Gehlot said. The Governor referred to Lord Krishna's guidance to Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita, stating that Nishkama Karma—performing one's duty without attachment—is a value the youth must adopt. 'Youngsters should embrace bhakti, kartavya and develop a fearless yet sensible mindset," he said. He praised the Sri Krishna Mutt in Udupi for being a beacon of Indian cultural and spiritual heritage. Gehlot also lauded Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji of Paryaya Sri Puthige Matha for spreading Sanatana Dharma globally through its branches. He said festivals like the Mandalotsava not only celebrate religious traditions but also promote social harmony and instil cultural pride. 'Lord Krishna incarnated to uphold dharma and defeat adharma. His life continues to guide us towards righteousness, compassion and courage," the Governor said. Worshipping the moon on Purnima Arghya is an integral part of the fasting ritual, believed to bring peace, virtue, and blessings. Sawan Purnima Bathing And Donation Scriptures emphasise the importance of Udaya Tithi for rituals like bathing and donation. Therefore, when Sawan Purnima fast is observed on August 8, Sawan Purnima bathing and donation will take place on Saturday, August 9. The most auspicious time for this is during Brahma Muhurta, from 4:22 AM to 5:04 AM. Bathing and donating on this day are said to cleanse sins and earn spiritual merit. Rakshabandhan 2025 Date Raksha Bandhan is a day when sisters tie Rakhi to their brothers and pray for their well-being, while brothers promise to protect their sisters. It's a celebration of love, protection, and a lifelong bond. This year, Rakshabandhan also falls on Sawan Purnima, Saturday, August 9. As there is no Bhadra on this day, the festival can be celebrated throughout the day. The most auspicious time to tie Rakhi is between 5:47 AM and 1:24 PM. Auspicious Yogas on Sawan Purnima Three highly auspicious yogas will be formed on this year's Sawan Purnima: These yogas are believed to amplify the spiritual benefits of rituals performed on this day. Bisalpur dam gates opened after water levels reach capacity
Bhilwara/Jaipur: Water levels in the Bisalpur Dam , a major source of drinking water for Jaipur, Ajmer and Tonk, crossed 315.5 meters for the first time this year, prompting the administration to open the dam's sluice gate no 10 at 4.55 pm Thursday to release 6,000 cusecs of excess water. This is only the first time since Bisalpur dam was built over two decades also that the flood gates have been opened in July. Bisalpur getting filled to capacity is expected to fulfil drinking water needs of Tonk, Ajmer and Jaipur districts for at least 18 months. This is the second consecutive year when the dam has fill up fully. Last year, sluice gates of the Bisalpur dam were thrown open in Sept. The gates were opened mid Vedic rituals with Tonk district collector Kalpana Agarwal, SP Rajesh Meena, and MLA Rajendra Gurjar in attendance. The dam administration sounded a siren at 12 noon before opening the gates. "Our teams are monitoring the situation, if needed more gates will be opened," Manish Bansal, executive engineer, Bisalpur dam told TOI. He also said good monsoon rains in Chittorgarh, Ajmer, Rajsamand and Bhilwara districts led the Triveni River, which feeds Bisalpur, to fill up for the first time in July.
