Michael Jordan's former Chicago mansion is listed on Airbnb… but wait until you see the price

Michael Jordan 's former mansion has been listed on Airbnb, with fans being offered the chance to 'live like a legend.'
The Highland Park, Illinois home - located in the suburbs of Chicago - was sold in December for $9.5million.
And the mansion's new owner, John Cooper, is now giving basketball fanatics a chance to stay at the NBA legend's previous estate - though it will cost a pretty penny to do so.
The home - which can fit up to 12 guests - has a seven-night minimum which will cost patrons a stunning six figures.
For example, a stay from August 2-9 costs $105,514, or roughly $15,000 per night.
And over Labor Day weekend, that number will go up even further from August 29 to September 5, at a whopping total of $120,920, or more than $17,000 per night.
The former home of the six-time NBA champion boasts seven bedrooms and 17.5 bathrooms, and even has Jordan's iconic No. 23 on the front gate.
On the property, there are plenty of amenities for guests to enjoy, including a full basketball court, wine cellar, infinity edge pool, professional grade putting green and more.
The estate - which spans 7.39 acres - 'was built with privacy, security, and luxury in mind,' the listing says.
The property was bought last year by real estate investor John Cooper, who told NBC News he wasn't sure of his plans for the property in the long term.
'I am still considering many different uses for the property,' Cooper told the outlet.
'Some great uses require zoning relief, but in the meantime short-term rentals are a permitted use to bring exposure to the property and generate some revenue.'
Jordan's former home, which Cooper envisions being used for 'a family or group of friends celebrating a milestone', also has a movie theater, gym, cigar lounge, salon and water aquariums.
The Bulls legend has mostly remained out of the spotlight since retiring from basketball in 2003, but is set to serve as a 'special contributor' for NBC and Peacock's NBA coverage next season.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver has subsequently said that Jordan is 'excited' about the new role.
'I spoke to Michael about it,' Silver said on the Dan Patrick Show. 'He's excited about it. I think for him it means he's got to stay current with the game.'
Silver continued: 'He's so passionate about it. I mean we talk about it all the time, he wants the game to be played the right way.'
Jordan is widely considered the NBA's 'GOAT' after a glittering career with the Bulls.
He pulled two incredible championship three-peats with Chicago, won five MVP awards and was a 10-time scoring championship as he etched his name in sports lore.

Jessica Simpson displays 100-lb weight loss in bikini as she celebrates first Fourth of July since Eric Johnson split

Jessica Simpson celebrated Independence Day in a bikini. The newly-single songstress, 44, displayed her svelte physique in a sexy red two-piece as she took a selfie in the mirror. She styled the look with a green button down and white sunnies, a navy 'USA' hat sitting on the sink adding to the patriotic vibe. The post was soundtracked to the Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers song An American Girl. Jessica previously admitted in 2019 that she lost 100lbs nearly six months after giving birth to her third daughter, Birdie. She followed a meal plan and walked 14,000 steps per day with help from celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak, and has since shared updates from the gym as she's maintained the weight loss through the years. '6 months. 100 pounds down (Yes, I tipped the scales at 240),' The star - who shares daughters Birdie, six, Maxwell, 13,and son Ace, 12, with estranged husband Eric Johnson - wrote on Instagram when revealing her weight loss. 'My first trip away from #BIRDIEMAE and emotional for many reasons, but so proud to feel like myself again. Even when it felt impossible, I chose to work harder,' Jessica, who was previously married to Nick Lachey, added. In September 2022 Jessica said she is happy to 'make money off' the chatter surrounding her fluctuating weight. The star acknowledged that her weight has been the subject of speculation for years, and it was actually one of the reasons she decided to launch her own fashion line, The Jessica Simpson Collection. The singer told Extra: 'I decided, 'Okay, everybody is going to talk about my weight all the time, I might as well make money off of it and turn it into a business of selling clothes and acceptance.' Meanwhile, yesterday marked Jessica's first time celebrating the 4th of July since splitting from Eric after 10 years of marriage. The duo announced their separation in a statement shared with People in January. 'Eric and I have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage,' the singer said. 'Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them. We are grateful for all of the love and support that has been coming our way, and appreciate privacy right now as we work through this as a family,' she added. A source told Us Weekly in May that the exes are still on good terms with one another. 'They are getting along well and everyone seems to be very happy,' the insider shared. 'They talk and see each other all the time and have decided that no matter what happens, they will get along for the kids,' the source added.

Melania appears to have lost her groove as she mimic Trump's infamous ‘YMCA' dance at July 4 bash

First Lady Melania Trump made a surprising gesture on Friday by joining President Donald Trump in performing his jubilant signature 'Trump Dance ' during the traditional Fourth of July celebration on the White House balcony. The moment followed Trump signing the 'big beautiful bill,' with fireworks across the sky and 'YMCA' playing across the grounds. Like he's done since his 2024 campaign, Donald swung his hips and energetically punched the air to the beat. Melania joined in, adding her own flair of open palms instead of the president's signature closed fists. The couple also shared a rare kiss on the balcony, to the amusement of the onlooking crowd. A clip of Melania's dance moves, shared by Fox News on X, garnered over 1 million views and mixed reactions to the scarce affectionate exchange between the Trumps. 'He works his a** off and still has some energy to do the Trump dance for fun! LOL! America's energizer bunny!' one person wrote. 'Cool bc I've always wanted her to do this,' another admitted. A third remarked, 'Moments like these show the lighter side of leadership.' Others thought Melania's moves were 'cringe' and unlike her usual stoic behavior. 'Must have been paid big bucks,' one person laughed. 'She does an excellent job faking it,' another said. A third claimed, 'That's a hostage desperately trying to communicate with the outside world.' Meanwhile, social media users debated the unusual PDA between the couple. 'Loved it when he grabbed her around the waist and kissed her. She had such a big, beautiful smile,' one person said. Someone else saw it differently, writing, 'As he yanks her closer and she clearly pushes back. Gold standard of love and affection.' The 'Trump Dance' has become a favorite among MAGA supporters, who use it for big celebrations, including Trump's second-term win, while UFC and WWE athletes have adopted it as a victory dance.

Disneyland announces closing date for beloved attraction

But, thankfully for fans, the popular ride is expected to return just 11 days later, reopening on August 22 in its seasonal form as Haunted Mansion Holiday. This special version features a makeover inspired by Tim Burton 's The Nightmare Before Christmas . While Disneyland has not officially stated the reason for the August closure, the timeline matches up with past years when the ride transforms into a holiday-theme. Haunted Mansion Holiday typically remains open through both Halloween and Christmas, and is scheduled to run until January 7, 2026. In 2024, the holiday version of the attraction opened earlier than usual in July. That early debut followed a lengthy closure that allowed Disneyland to complete several major updates to the ride. Enhancements included a more accessible elevator for guests with disabilities, revamped landscaping around the attraction, and the debut of Madame Leota's Somewhere Beyond gift shop. When the original Haunted Mansion returned in early 2025, guests were introduced to a newly updated version of the Bride, one of the ride's key characters. Though Haunted Mansion Holiday features the same general decorations each year, one element that changes annually is the gingerbread house in the ballroom scene. This centerpiece is custom-built and remains a fan favorite. The temporary closure of such a beloved ride is not unusual, especially during seasonal transitions, but still typically upsets fans regardless, as some plan their visit specifically for the Haunted Mansion. That being said, fans of the original Haunted Mansion have just over a month left to experience the classic version before the holiday takeover begins. For those who prefer the spooky charm of the holiday edition, the August 22 reopening will mark the return of Jack Skellington, Zero, and other familiar faces from The Nightmare Before Christmas. The Haunted Mansion remains one of Disneyland's most iconic attractions, and both versions continue to draw long lines and loyal fans year-round. Guests planning a visit in August should keep the closure dates in mind, as the ride will be unavailable for nearly two weeks. Despite the temporary closure, Disneyland's 70th anniversary celebration will include plenty of other attractions, entertainment, and limited-time experiences across the park.
