Haim are set to perform a secret set at Glastonbury Festival later today, the Mirror can reveal - but the band dropped hints to fans weeks ago
Haim are set to perform a secret set at Glastonbury Festival later today - but actually revealed the news fans weeks ago.
The American rock band, made up of sisters Este, Danielle and Alana Haim, last performed at Glastonbury in 2022 on the Pyramid Stage. But the girls will be performing on The Park stage this evening at 7.30pm, under the TBA slot – their favourite stage.

Speaking to BBC Radio presenter Jo Whiley two weeks ago, Haim teased their fans about the not so secret slot. "We love The Park Stage," Alana said. "The Park Stage is our favourite, 'cause that was like the first time we came to Glastonbury, we got to play The Park Stage. It felt like a movie."

She went on to add: "It was like, 'What is going on? How did we get here?' And also just like… you never forget the first time you step onto the farm. And it's the most insane feeling, I think, that you'll ever have. But it was incredible, it's the best festival in the world."
Royal songstress Lorde graced the Woodsies stage on Friday morning, with a secret set being played to a crowd which was so packed festival bosses had to close off the area. A source told the Mirror: "It's sweltering inside the tent given the amount of people crammed inside. Bosses are urging people to stand up off the floor to make room. Some people are leaving as it's so intense."
However, as the crowd spilled outside the tent, the source added: "Bosses have now shut down Woodsies as crowds are so big with a festival-wide message saying: 'Woodies is now full'."
Lewis Capaldi also made a surprise appearance at Glastonbury on Friday - two years after he last performed at the festival. Back then the 28-year-old struggled to finish his set. His voice faltered as he told the crowd: "Glastonbury, I'm really sorry. I'm a bit annoyed with myself." The crowd soon took over the vocals of his hit Someone You Loved.
Announcing he was taking a break from music to focus on his health, Lewis - who suffers from Tourette's and anxiety - told fans: "I feel like I'll be taking another wee break over the next couple of weeks. So you probably won't see much of me for the rest of the year, maybe even. But when I do come back and when I do see you, I hope you're still up for watching us."

In an emotional comeback performance, Lewis cried as he began to sing his new song Survive, which he released yesterday. He said his one goal was to get back on stage at Glastonbury as he paid tribute to the fans.
Other big acts who are rumoured to be performing at Glastonbury are 90s rock band Pulp, who have just completed the UK leg of their latest tour. Frontman Jarvis Cocker has already performed a sneaky DJ set from inside a tree in the Greenpeace Field.
But there are rumours the whole band could make an appearance as the mystery act billed only as Patchwork, who are due to hit the stage Saturday at 6:15pm. A source shared an exclusive photograph of the boxes – one of which is labelled with the band name Pulp. The source told us: "I spotted the sound engineer box with Pulp's name on as they were setting up during the Kaiser Chiefs set."

Robbie Williams has also been dropping hints he could play three decades after he first crashed the festival as a newly-solo star. At first, fans got excited when he changed his Facebook photo to a 1995 backstage snap, but with tour dates abroad, people assumed it was off the cards.
Though he has since posted two photos on X captioned simply '30 years later…' One showed a plaque reading: 'Robbie Williams entered this area without accreditation, authorisation, or alignment with prevailing taste. His presence was uninvited, unofficial and ultimately inevitable.' The second was the iconic 'Welcome to Glastonbury' sign.
Good Luck, Babe! singer Chappell Roan also sparked a frenzy of speculation she could be performing a secret set. Posting a snap clutching a patchwork quilt with the caption 'insane vibe" fans wondered if she was teasing she was the Patchwork act.
Fans only have a few hours to wait until all is revealed - and if you weren't lucky enough to get a ticket to this year's Glastonbury Festival you can still tune into all the coverage on BBC iPlayer.

The Glastonbury wellie trend loved by festival's best-dressed celebs

The final day of Glastonbury Festival is here, but the fashion statements are far from over. Yesterday, Worthy Farm was graced by numerous celebrities, with our best-dressed favourites all sporting one common accessory – ankle-length wellies. These Chelsea boot-inspired wellies were seen on everyone from Billie Piper and Lily James to Daisy Edgar-Jones at this year's Glastonbury, solidifying their status as a festival must-have. The popular choice appeared to be Barbour's Black Wilton Chelsea Wellington Boots, currently available for £55 at Next, or £54 on Amazon while stocks last. According to the Mirror, these ankle-length wellies strike the perfect balance between style and practicality. Unlike full-length wellies, which can cause overheating in high temperatures, an ankle-length pair offers comfort and coolness while still safeguarding your feet from mud. Plus, they're much easier to slip on and off when it's time to retire to your tent at the end of the day. The Chelsea Wellington Boots also effortlessly complement any outfit, functioning just like a regular pair of ankle boots. They can be easily paired with anything from midi skirts and mini dresses to a simple pair of shorts or jeans. Billie Piper opted to pair hers with an oversized green waterproof jacket and black micro shorts underneath, flaunting her bronzed legs while staying warm and dry. In contrast, Lily James chose sporty white drawstring shorts, a beige crop top and a quilted bomber jacket to complement her ankle-length wellies. Daisy Edgar-Jones traded the Barbour's version for a pair of Hunter Original Rubber Chelsea Boots, currently discounted from £145 to £58. One day, she channelled 00s Alexa Chung, pairing them with simple wide-leg denim shorts and a vintage-style satin camisole top. On another occasion, she chose a flowing white midi dress and a raffia shoulder bag, demonstrating the versatility of the wellies. The Barbour Chelsea Wellington Boots are available in four different colours including black, navy and olive green, while Hunter's Original Rubber Chelsea Boots come in either black or ivory. If you're looking to add a vibrant pop of colour with your wellies (it is festival season, after all), then the Bobbi Ankle Wellies from Merry People (£89.95) are perfect. They're available in a range of bright colours including yellow, bright pink, rust and burgundy, with a total of 16 different colours to choose from. While ankle-length wellies are clearly a popular choice for summer festivals, they're also quite handy for daily use. They can be worn for dog walks, family days out in the countryside, or simply to keep your feet dry during your winter commute. We'll certainly be adding a pair to our shoe collection.

UK police reviewing rapper's anti-Israel comments at Glastonbury Festival

British police said they were examining videos of a band that led chants of 'death to the IDF' or Israel Defense Forces at Saturday's Glastonbury Festival. Rapper Bobby Vylan, of rap punk duo Bob Vylan, led crowds attending the festival in chants of 'free, free Palestine' and 'death, death to the IDF." Avon and Somerset Police said video evidence would be assessed by officers 'to determine whether any offenses may have been committed that would require a criminal investigation." The Israeli Embassy to the U.K. said on social media that it was 'deeply disturbed by the inflammatory and hateful rhetoric expressed on stage at the Glastonbury Festival." Health Secretary Wes Streeting on Sunday condemned the band's actions as 'appalling." He told Sky News that the BBC and festival organizers had to answer questions about how the comments were broadcast live to millions. The government said Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy has spoken to the BBC director general about Bob Vylan's performance. The BBC said it issued a warning on screen about 'very strong and discriminatory language' during the live stream. Saturday's festival lineup also included Irish-language rap group Kneecap, which gave an impassioned performance for tens of thousands of fans despite criticism by British politicians and a terror charge for one of the trio. Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh, who performs under the stage name Mo Chara, has been charged under the Terrorism Act with supporting a proscribed organization for allegedly waving a Hezbollah flag at a concert in London in November. The rapper, who was charged under the anglicized version of his name, Liam O'Hanna, is on unconditional bail before a further court hearing in August. The group has faced criticism for lyrics laden with expletives and drug references, and for political statements, especially since videos emerged allegedly showing the band shouting 'up Hamas, up Hezbollah' and calling on people to kill lawmakers. On Saturday band members led the audience in chants of 'Free Palestine' and 'Free Mo Chara.' They also aimed an expletive-laden chant at U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who has said he didn't think it was 'appropriate' for Kneecap to play Glastonbury. About 200,000 ticket holders have turned up in southwest England for Britain's most prestigious summer music festival, which features almost 4,000 performers on 120 stages.
