Keenan Allen could be nearing a potential reunion with the Chargers
The veteran wide receiver, who was a salary-cap casualty when the Chargers traded him last year, was scheduled to meet with the team Thursday to discuss a possible reunion, according to multiple reports.
A potential move to sign the six-time Pro Bowl selection makes sense for a Chargers team in need of a veteran receiving option after Mike Williams' surprising retirement at the start of training camp.

Allen was the longest-tenured player on the Chargers when they traded him to the Chicago Bears in March 2024 to become cap compliant. He caught 904 passes for 10,530 yards and 59 touchdowns over 11 seasons with the franchise. He caught 380 passes for 4,125 yards and 25 touchdowns playing alongside Justin Herbert.
Allen caught 70 passes for 744 yards and seven touchdowns with the Bears last season, but at 33 his best days are probably behind him — which explains why he's still a free agent in August.
Still, with plenty of unknowns in the Chargers' receiving corps outside of Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston, it makes sense that the Chargers would want to bolster their passing game with a more known quantity in a player like Allen.

Titans sign OL Arlington Hambright, waive WR Ramel Keyton
The Titans made a change to their roster on Sunday morning. They announced that they have signed offensive lineman Arlington Hambright. They waived wide receiver Ramel Keyton in a corresponding move. Hambright signed to Tennessee's practice squad last year and went on to play in four games on special teams for the Titans during the regular season. He was a 2020 Bears seventh-round pick and played nine games as a rookie. He also saw action for the Colts in 2023. Keyton signed with the team after Treylon Burks fractured his collarbone in a training camp practice. He had one catch for the Raiders last season.

Former Georgia QB Matthew Stafford makes NFL top 100
Former Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford has been one of the top quarterbacks in the league for a while and he was rewarded for it by his peers. Stafford made the NFL's top 100, coming in at No. 59. Stafford absolutely deserved this award. In his age-36 season, Stafford threw for 3,762 yards and 20 touchdowns, leading the Los Angeles Rams on five game-winning drives. He brought the Rams to a 10-7 record and NFC West title. After that, the Rams upset the 14-3 Minnesota Vikings in the wild card round and came within one play of defeating the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles in the divisional round. He was playing through an injury in that game too. Stafford comes down from ranking No. 42 last year, but he enters the list for the eighth time in his career, tying former Auburn/Florida quarterback Cam Newton and former Ole Miss quarterback Phillip Rivers for the most top 100 selections of any former SEC quarterback in NFL history. There have already been two Georgia Bulldogs selected in the NFL's top 100. However, with guys like Jalen Carter, Roquan Smith, and Brock Bowers still awaiting their ranking, Georgia fans have more to look forward to in the future.
