Janet Street-Porter leaves Loose Women open-mouthed as she reveals her little-known role in adult movie before TV fame

Daily Mail4 days ago
Janet Street Porter left her Loose Women co-stars open-mouthed as she revealed her little-known role in adult movie during Monday's instalment of the ITV show.
The 78-year-old, Charlene White, 45, Katie Piper, 41, and Brenda Edwards, 56, returned to the studio to discuss the latest headlines and newsworthy topics.
The Loose ladies got chatting about their first jobs as most schools have officially broken up for the summer holidays.
Janet confessed that she landed a role as a temporary clinical officer at the tax office to cover for her mum, but it was her next job that was out of the norm.
She said: 'When I was at college, a friend of mine got a job advising, it was the end of the 60s and London had a lot of foreign film directors and wanted to make a lot of saucy movies about swinging London.
'My friend got a job as an art director or something, and he got me a job as an actual actress, non-speaking, extra and I played a receptionist.'
Katie asked: 'An adult movie?'
'Yes,' Janet replied.
'The thing is, I had like a mini white nylon overall, I had hair sprayed silver, I had false eye lashes.
'They took my glasses off me. So don't ask me what the action was!'
Charlene pointed out: 'You couldn't see the extra stuff?'
Janet added: 'I walked through the Turkish bars, I held my clipboard high. '
'Do you know what? The film is available, but unsurprisingly we're not going to show it,' Charlene said.
Meanwhile others opened up about their first jobs.
Katie confessed: 'Before I got my national insurance number, so I guess I must have been 14, me and my sister had a car-washing business.
'Looking back, quality control wasn't high, it was mobile with bucket and sponge, no hose pipe. There was probably quite a lot of soap suds on your car at the end.
'We then also had table top sales at the end of the drive.
'We lived in a village, in my mum's garden there was an apple tree. We would sell all the apples, all our old toys. We weren't paying tax but we were 14...'
Then when she got her NI number she landed herself a job at Tesco.
Katie said: 'I kept that job for the whole of college, I started on the checkouts, then I went to customer service, got promoted to the tobacco kiosk.
'I was at my mum's this weekend, I went back into Tesco and loads of the same people that I worked with are still there now.'
Charlene started working part-time at 16 and then at 18 she worked at the London Trocadero - and she would sometimes dress up as Sonic the Hedgehog handing out flyers.
It comes after Janet's comments to Loose Women co-star Kelle Bryan resulted in her storming out of the studio into the audience last week.
Janet, Kelle, Brenda and Coleen spoke about heartbreak and they all had different opinions.
Kelle said: 'I'm clearly on the wrong panel today... if I get my heart broken it takes me a long time to recover.
'I'll be sad and down, it takes me a long time to let someone in in the first place. To trust somebody.
'It takes me a bit of time to say you're my person, but once I've made that decision, you're my person, you're in my world.
'If they let me down, hurt me, cheat on me, dump me, I'm devastated for a bit!'
Janet piped up and asked: 'But Kelly, aren't you just cross you messed up and made the wrong decision?'
A shocked Kelle said: 'Right. I'm off. I'm going to go and sit in the audience!'

Pamela Anderson and co-star Liam Neeson recreate iconic Titanic scene at Naked Gun premiere in Berlin after sparking romance rumours

Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson recreated a memorable Titanic scene at the Naked Gun premiere in Berlin amid rumours they are dating. The Baywatch icon, 58, and the Taken actor, 73. appeared at the UCI Luxe East Side Gallery on Thursday for the latest screening on the promotional trail. The pair star in the upcoming crime spoof comedy film together, with Pamela playing Beth and Liam portraying Frank Drebin Jr. Following in the footsteps of his bumbling father, Detective Frank Drebin Jr. must solve a murder case to prevent the police department from shutting down. Rumours have been swirling recently that the pair are seeing each other, however it has been suggested since that they merely have a close friendship. The chemistry between the pair is clear to see as Pamela shared a photo on her Instagram of the two messing around on a boat. In the video, Pamela acted as Rose during the iconic scene in the Titanic, as Liam held her waist from behind in the role of leading man Jack. Pamela looked stunning in a dark green strapless gown which featured a neck scarf. Liam wore a grey suit and looked smart as he hugged her from behind. She penned as the caption: 'From the London to Berlin… this tour has been full of smiles, laughter, and so much love... Thank you to everyone who came out to giggle with us (and watch on the big screen). NYC next!' On Tuesday, the alleged couple couldn't keep their hands off each other during the red carpet premiere in London. Fans have been unsure about the status of the co-stars' relationship after Liam admitted he 'loved' Pamela earlier this year - ahead of the film's release on 1 August. They further fuelled speculation as they put on a passionate display, cosying up on the red carpet. For the outing, Pamela stunned in a strapless purple gown with a flowing train and accessorised with dainty dazzling jewels. The pair appeared in good spirits as the actress planted a sweet kiss on Liam's cheek while they posed for the cameras. It comes after Liam joked that his favourite part of making the film was filming 'the sex scenes' with his co-star Pamela. He joked about their intimate scenes as The Sun reported the pair were given an intimacy co-ordinator on set. The star explained: 'I'd never had one before. But she was in the background. There was no kind of, 'OK! Excuse me!'. Pamela portrays a nightclub singer, who comes to Police Squad for help following the murder of her brother, in Akiva Schaffer's slapstick comedy continuation. Pamela added that the intimacy co-ordinator knew when to walk away and joked that she stormed off, with Liam claiming she threw her hands up in the air and said, 'I can't take this! This is too hot for me. I'm going for coffee'.

Greggs could BRING BACK iconic bake it scrapped six years ago leaving fans gutted

BAKERY chain Greggs could bring back its fan favourite steak and cheese roll after a dairy firm pulled a cheeky Stilton stunt. Big cheeses from Clawson Farms arrived at the company's HQ in a lorry flanked by motorcycle outriders and security guards to deliver an 8kg wheel of their pongy produce. 1 It came in response to fan demands for Greggs to reinstate the bake, which it scrapped in 2019. Clawson, owned by 30 farmers near Melton Mowbray, Leics, told Greggs: 'We've got the cheese, are you bringing the roll?' When Greggs dropped its steak and cheese offering, fans went into a full-on pastry panic — with one even writing a song about it. Master cheesemaker Richard Mayfield said: 'Greggs is a big brand, so we needed to make a big statement to get their attention.' Greggs boss Roisin Currie invited the cheeky cheesemakers into the Newcastle offices for a Greggs sausage roll. She did not give anything away about the return of the fan favourite, but her reaction is seen as the first sniff of a possible return. Big cheese Keith said: 'I live near one of the busiest Greggs shops in the country – and I'm in there most mornings. When the Steak & Cheese Roll disappeared, I was gutted. So we thought, why not offer them the best cheese in Britain and help bring it back?' 'Greggs is literally in my blood — three generations of my family have worked there, so campaigning to back the cheese roll, with our stilton in it, was a no-brainer! I spend my days going up and down the country spreading the love of Stilton, but this delivery? Well, it was rolling in style. "Meeting Roisin and the team was fantastic — she welcomed us in with open arms and took the whole thing in great humour. We're just here hoping Greggs might want us back for good!' Greggs was approached to comment on a possible comeback.
