David Schwimmer went through a phase of not being able to bear hearing the ‘Friends' theme tune

David Schwimmer went through a phase of hating the 'Friends' theme tune.
The actor, 58, played bumbling Ross Geller on the sitcom, and despite its opening track being loved by fans he has now revealed how he once couldn't stand it.
He said during a recent appearance on the 'Making a Scene' podcast with Matt Lucas and David Walliams: 'I'll be really honest – there was a time for quite a while that just hearing the theme song would really uggh.' He added his aversion to the tune was hearing it on repeat, with David hearing The Rembrandts' ''I'll Be There for You' so many times it left him feeling miserable.
The actor also explained that his distaste for the song developed during a period w h e n h e was grappling with the overwhelming fame that followed 'Friends' massive success.
David, who appeared in all 10 seasons of the show, said he could pinpoint the moment his anonymity slipped away.
He said: 'Jim Burroughs (the 'Friends' director) took the cast to Vegas… this was before we were on the air.
' We were walking through the casino at one point, and he said, 'Remember this moment, it's the last time you're going to be able to walk through a casino like this.'' For David, that moment of clarity came just a few months later when the fame hit him full force.
He said: 'The moment that I realised Jim Burroughs was right, I was at LAX… so I'm going through… I hear a blood-curdling scream.
'I was genuinely frightened. I thought someone was being stabbed or something. And a group of girls come and like – like literally just scream and grab me. And they won't let me go.'
Despite his initial discomfort with his fame and the constant reminders of the show, David's feelings toward Friends have softened in recent years – thanks, in part, to his daughter. He added: 'I never watched the show after we finished it.
'Then my kid discovered it around age nine or something, and started watching it. And I'd be making breakfast or whatever, and I'd hear my kid's laughter. My whole relationship to that song and to the show changed again.'

Khloe Kardashian gets candid about cosmetic work

Bang Showbiz | Los Angeles Khloe Kardashian has detailed all the cosmetic procedures she has undergone. The 41-year-old reality star - who has seven-year-old daughter True and two-year-old son Tatum with ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson - commented on a video from a doctor breaking down her 'transformation' over the years and while she took it as a 'compliment' that he had listed a number of different treatments, she insisted the speculation was inaccurate but confirmed she had undergone a nose job, fillers, and other cosmetic work. The doctor, Jonny Betteridge, shared a video on his clinic's Instagram account in which he compared photos from her attendance at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's wedding to some taken 'many years ago' to 'appreciate just how much she's changed over the years.' Noting his thoughts were 'purely speculative and based on my professional opinion', Jonny captioned the post: 'Based on recent photos, I believe she may have had the following work done. 'A temporal brow lift to elevate the outer brow area, Upper blepharoplasty to smooth the upper eyelids, Rhinoplasty for a more sculpted nose, Lip filler to enhance volume and shape, A face and neck lift for overall tightness and definition, [and] A chin implant for lower face projection. 'She looks dramatically different from a few years ago, and whether you see it as glow up or glam makeover, there's no denying she's created a bold new look for herself (sic)' Shortly afterwards, the Good American founder herself commented on the post. She wrote: 'I take this as a great compliment. 'First off I think these photos are about 15 years apart, But here's a list of things that I have done. I've been very open in the past about what I have done so here we go.' According to Khloe, she has had a nose job performed by Dr. Raj Kanodia, 'laser Hair for the hairline and everywhere else' at Sev Laser Aesthetics, 'soft wave laser for skin tightening' at Software Therapy, and 'collagen baby Threads' underneath her chin and neck from The Things We Do. In addition, after having skin cancer removed from her face in 2023, Khloe noted she had also visited 70 Spa Laser + Aesthetic Center for 'Botox and sculptra where my face tumor was removed in my cheek'. The Kardashians star has had 'filler in the past'.

Charlize Theron's mullet horrified her daughters

Bang Showbiz | Los Angeles Charlize Theron's daughter was reduced to tears by her mullet. The 49-year-old actress adopted the hairstyle for her part in the new movie The Old Guard 2 and admits that her adopted daughters - Jackson, 12, and August, nine, - were far from impressed with the look. Charlize told the chat show Late Night with Seth Meyers: 'I have two girls, and they're very, very... they're mostly very girly. And they think of me as a princess. And they want Mom to look like a princess. 'But they came back from school. I was in my bathroom and I was getting it cut and it had already been coloured. And I just remember looking over and they both came into the room really excited, and then they just both froze. And they just went... and one started crying.' The Oscar-winning star continued: 'One literally started bawling their eyes out. And I had to actually sit down with her and say, 'We all get to be who we want to be. And right now, Mom wants to wear a mullet.' I don't tell you what to do with your hair.' Impersonating one of her children, Charlize added: 'I still don't like it.' The Mad Max: Fury Road actress revealed last month that her children are unimpressed by her Hollywood career. During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Theron quipped: 'My children have zero respect for me. 'It's just unbelievable, I feel like I'm pretty humble, but every once in a while I'm like, 'There's an Oscar right there.' They are so not impressed with me.'

Robert Downey Jr's faith in entertainment industry reaffirmed after Marvel co-star's rise to fame

Bang Showbiz | Los Angeles Robert Downey Jr. says Pedro Pascal's 'slow trajectory' to becoming a 'household name' has reaffirmed his 'faith' in the entertainment industry. The acting heavyweights have grown close after shooting forthcoming Marvel film Avengers: Doomsday, and Downey Jr. is delighted to see Pascal is on a 'wildly hot streak' after a gradual rise to fame. He told Vanity Fair magazine: 'Pascal's slow trajectory to becoming a household name who is on a wildly hot streak kind of reaffirms my faith in our industry.' Pascal's breakout role came in 2014 when he portrayed Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones, and he went on to play Javier Pena in Netflix crime show Narcos. More recently, Pascal told how he heads to Downey Jr.'s house for Avengers cast 'homework' days ahead of starring in Doomsday, in which he will play Reed Richards/ Mister Fantastic, and he praised his pal as 'so immediately generous and inviting'. Speaking about Downey Jr. - who will play Victor von Doom/ Doctor Doom in the 2026 movie - the 50-yearold actor said: 'He's just so immediately generous and inviting that you feel like you can be afraid, you can be hungry, you can be ambivalent.' Vanessa Kirby will also appear in Avengers: Doomsday, as Sue Storm/ Invisible Woman, and she has found Pascal to be someone you can 'trust'.
