A golf legend was on hand for the final round of the 41st Nicklaus Junior Championship, taking place at the Tequesta Country Club in Palm Beach County, Florida, this week.

15-time major championship winner Tiger Woods was in attendance as a spectator, as he was there in support of his 16-year-old son, Charlie Woods.
While the elder Woods is well known for being among the best and most famous athletes in all of sports, the 49-year-old former world No. 1 hasn't made many public appearances lately.
The last time he is known to have played any golf in the public eye was during March's TGL match for the Jupiter Links Golf Club against the Atlanta Drive Golf Club, shortly before he ruptured his Achilles later in the month.
So, the fact that he was reportedly able to walk alongside his son, who again played exceptionally well this week, is quite the development.
As confirmed by Eric Wallace of the Palm Beach Post, the younger Woods shot a 69, good enough for 2-under.

This allowed him to finish in sixth place in a field of 122 golfers.

The younger Woods' sixth-place finish comes just one week after he fought his way into a three-for-one playoff that he won at the Eagle Trace Golf Club qualifier.
Charlie Woods seems to be trending in the right direction in his young career, as he was a part of two state title runs for The Benjamin School. In 2023, his team won the Class A state title, while this past year saw them finish as the runner-up.
While it's unclear when the elder Woods will return or if he will at all, he seems to be quite happy with cheering on his son from the gallery.

It's been since 2023 since the 4Aces have won a LIV Golf team title, a stretch of 27 starts, but Patrick Reed insisted this week that the team hasn't gone into panic mode. But Reed has played better of late, and he came into this week's LIV Golf Dallas at Maridoe Golf Club in a good place after a top-25 finish at the U.S. Open at Oakmont. And the rest of the underperforming team, one that includes Dustin Johnson, Harold Varner III and Thomas Pieters, was also showing signs of trending upward. So Reed had no worries about the side as it came to Texas, the state in which he lives. "The team room has been fine. The golf aspect of it has just kind of been too up and down. You'll have one or two guys play really well one day and then one or two of the guys don't quite have it and then it flips the next day and things like that," Reed said on Friday. "I feel like right now the team is playing really solid. We know TP will bounce back. His game actually looks pretty solid for the most part. "The biggest thing is keep the throttle down." Reed, who shot a 67 in the opening round as did teammate Varner, did just that during Saturday's second round. He finished with 68 and the 4Aces look poised to return to the podium if they can manage their way through Sunday. The team holds a 4-stroke lead with one round to play. "It would mean a lot, obviously, to win in your home state," Reed said. "But really to me, honestly, it doesn't matter where it is. Winning a golf tournament is winning a golf tournament. The adrenaline and that feeling of standing up on stage and hoisting that trophy is an amazing feeling. It doesn't really matter where you're at or anything like that. "But doing it in my home state would be special for sure. But we've got a long way to go."

Schmelzel, Valenzuela on track for first LPGA Tour wins
Sarah Schmelzel and Albane Valenzuela have taken the third-round lead in the Dow Championship, shooting a two-under 68 in alternate-shot play to move into position for their first LPGA Tour victories. Schmelzel and Valenzuela had a 13-under 197 total at Midland Country Cup heading into the better-ball final round. They opened with an alternate-shot 68 on Thursday and had a best-ball 61 on Friday. "You're kind of on pins and needles most of the day, just hoping you don't get your partner in trouble," American Schmelzel said. "Just super solid. I feel like we had really good attitudes throughout the entire day. I think both of us took every single shot as it came."
