Hyderabad: In a significant development, Telangana Endowments Minister Konda Surekha officially launched the e-Office system at the Telangana Secretariat on Thursday. The initiative is aimed at improving the speed, transparency, and efficiency of internal operations across the department.
According to the officials, this move towards modernizing the functioning of the Endowments Department and aimed at improving the speed, transparency, and efficiency of internal operations across the department. The e-Office was inaugurated in the presence of Principal Secretary Shailaja Ramaiyer, Endowments Commissioner S Venkata Rao, and other senior officials.
Speaking during the launch, Konda Surekha said the introduction of the e-Office system was a major step forward in administrative reform. 'This system will make it easy to process files quickly and without unnecessary delays. Since everything is tracked digitally, there will be no confusion or blame game between staff and officers. More importantly, files will now be safe from theft, loss, or even damage in case of incidents like fire,' she said.
Explaining further, the Minister noted that the digital platform would function similar to manual file systems with note files and current files, but with far greater convenience. 'Files can now be cleared from any location, at any time, without the need for physical presence in the office. Urgent files can also be marked separately so they get top priority. Soon we will use the same services in Yadagirigutta and the 30 other temples across the state,' she said, adding that the influence of intermediaries like PAs and CCs in file movement will reduce drastically.
The National Informatics Centre (NIC) developed the e-Office application. NIC Joint Director Raghava Chary and Technical Manager Kavita were present at the event.
As part of the launch, the Minister approved the first official file through the e-Office system a compassionate appointment file. She sanctioned a government job for Naveen Kumar under the compassionate recruitment scheme.
The Minister also appreciated Commissioner Venkata Rao for taking a hands-on approach in ensuring the successful implementation of this initiative. 'For the last 15 days, the Commissioner personally supervised all computerisation work and ensured proper training for every staff member. His efforts have been instrumental in making this project a reality,' she said.

Kaytex Fabrics IPO lists today. GMP at Rs 14 signals modest premium

Textile manufacturer Kaytex Fabrics is set to debut on the NSE SME platform on Tuesday riding into the secondary market on the back of robust investor demand and a grey market premium (GMP) of Rs 14, or 8% above the IPO price of Rs 180 per share. ADVERTISEMENT The Rs 69.81 crore IPO received an enthusiastic response, getting oversubscribed 42.70 times overall. Retail investors subscribed 47.85 times, while HNIs and QIBs saw bids at 43.19x and 31.16x, respectively — reflecting solid interest across the board. Kaytex Fabrics, which offers fast-fashion fabrics and garments under brands like Rasiya, Kaytex, and Darbaar-e-Khaas, plans to use the IPO proceeds to expand its warehouse and sales office in Amritsar, invest in advanced processing machinery, and meet working capital needs. With a strong order book, diversified customer base, and FY25 PAT of Rs 16.9 crore on revenue of Rs 153.2 crore, the company enters the market at a P/E of 15.65x on post-issue earnings, and a market cap of around Rs 264 expect a steady listing, with upside limited by valuation concerns flagged in the IPO note — though strong retail participation and modest GMP suggest some room for early-day gains. Sirsa inspects Norway plant to model Delhi's first e-waste park on ‘best practices'

Delhi environment and industries minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa on Monday visited an e-waste processing facility in Revetal, Norway, as part of a technical study to incorporate international best practices into Delhi's upcoming e-waste park in Holambi Kalan. Delhi environment and industries minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa at the Norway plant. (HT Photo) The ₹150-crore facility planned by the Delhi government is touted as India's first e-waste park and will have the capacity to process 51,000 metric tonnes of electronic waste annually. Officials said the eco park, to be built under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model, will cater to all 106 categories of e-waste listed in the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022, and is projected to generate over ₹350 crore in revenue and create thousands of jobs. Sirsa, who holds dual portfolios, said the project will reflect Delhi's commitment to integrated progress. 'As both the Environment Minister and the Industries Minister of Delhi, I will not allow either to suffer because of the other. Our goal is integrated progress, where clean industry fuels economic growth and safeguards the environment,' he said. During the visit, Sirsa conducted a detailed technical inspection of the plant, run by Norwegian company REVAC. He interacted with senior engineers and operations heads to understand dismantling, segregation, and material recovery systems at the facility. REVAC's plant was selected for the visit due to its annual processing capacity of approximately 110,000 metric tonnes and its internationally recognised environmental practices. 'The terrain and climate conditions of Revetal are similar to Holambi Kalan. That makes this comparison meaningful from a design and operational standpoint,' said Sirsa.
