Trader Joe's fans question early fall product rollout
Fans were unhappy to learn that Trader Joe's has already unveiled fall-themed products at some of its stores, despite it still being the middle of summer. Talia Heskett, who goes by Trader Joe's Talia on TikTok , visited stores this week and spotted items that enraged some customers.
She picked out the fall-themed Pumpkin Pancake and Waffle Mix, as well as the Maple Leaf Cookies, which start at $3.99 per box. 'I LOVE fall and Halloween and such but maple and pumpkin stuff in July seems silly. It's just getting to be real tomato and corn season!,' a shopper commented on the video .
'As a teacher, I'm going to need them to put those fall products back in the warehouse,' another customer responded. 'I am so not ready for the Fall products when it's 98 degrees outside,' another commented joked. Another person chimed in: 'People slow down we're not even in August.'
Alongside pointing out the autumnal products, Heskett also showed her followers a variety of other items she was excited to try. The shopping expert admitted to purchasing a $1.99 box of Trader Joe's Fruit Jellies Candy, which is a new product. Coming in peach, cherry, mango and pear flavors, the supermarket chain called it a 'fun' and 'scrumptious' treat created by a UK confectionary expert.
Heskett was also intrigued by Trader Joe's new Orange Mimosa wine cocktail, which gained the attention of TikTokers. Starting at $7.99, Reddit users described the mimosa beverage as a 'delicious' drink that works for 'picnic style situations.' Once Heskett was finished looking at food and drinks, she made her way to the store's plant aisle.
She enjoyed the 'cute little pots' but praised the location's mini calandiva plants, which start at $6.99 at select stores. The video then showed the TikToker making her way to the recently-opened Trader Joe's in Northridge, California . While there, Heskett spotted a couple of new Trader Joe's 'mascots,' which are gray squirrel stuffed animals named Shirley and Jiffy. Trader Joe's is operating around 600 stores while continuing its massive expansion across the US.
However, loyal shoppers were confused recently when they found out a new store would open on 14140 Riverside Drive in Sherman Oaks, California . The location is right down the street from another Trader Joe's, and the company plans to keep them both operating. 'Maybe we are living in a simulation, because that seems like a glitch in the matrix,' a TikTok user commented on a video of the two stores last month.
Another user claimed that the original store is one of the busiest in the state, so the retailer is testing the two spots. Another claimed the opening of the new store was delayed, so the chain had to re-sign the lease for the old location.

John Krasinski to write, direct, produce 'A Quiet Place Part III'
John Krasinski is returning to direct, write and produce ' A Quiet Place Part III.' The film has been set for a July 9, 2027 theatrical release, Paramount Pictures said Friday. The first film, released in 2018, was a box-office smash, earning some $341 million worldwide on a budget of only $17 million. It also established Krasinski, who starred alongside his wife Emily Blunt in the post-apocalyptic horror, as a bankable filmmaker. He returned to write and direct 'A Quiet Place Part II," the release of which was delayed over a year due to the pandemic. The franchise also expanded to include a prequel, 'A Quiet Place: Day One.' Krasinski produced but handed over the reins to filmmaker Michael Sarnoski. In total, the three films have grossed over $892 million. In moving scenes, the procession stopped outside the Black Sabbath bridge, where the frontman's wife and children stepped out of their cars to lay down roses wrapped in black paper among the sea of tributes left by fans. Ozzy's widow, Sharon, was seen for the first time since his death and was overcome by emotion as she took in the outpouring of love for her husband. As she broke down in tears, Sharon was comforted by children Jack, Kelly, and Aimee. The grandchildren of Sharon and Ozzy were also close by for the family moment. Last week, the Osbourne family announced that Ozzy had died at the age of 76, just days after he appeared on stage at his farewell Back to the Beginning concert, in his beloved hometown of Birmingham. In a statement, the Osbourne family, including Kelly and Sharon, had said: "It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. "He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis."
